  1. Borders are open. Go home.
  2. You are confused. Firstly crazy idea to go to Laos from Pattaya in a van. Second no such thing as a "60 day sticker" ..... You could go to Vientiane Thai consulate and obtain a 60 day tourist visa but that is overnight process and requires an appointment. What are you actually trying to obtain. If it's a border bounce for 30 day visa exempt entry you would do a run to Cambodia. There is current thread. Link here. The OP gives update half way through and is using company picking him up Saturday.
  3. As you know it's up to 30 days early at most offices and 45 days early at some You could apply slightly earlier (say couple of weeks more) with a reason such as plane ticket etc. It would be up to immigration office. Stating your immigration office always helps. If it's Samut Prakan I doubt they will cut you slack. Wait just realized you looking for extension based on marriage. You have an under consideration period. Not possible. Suggest you don't bother with next extension. Reenter Thailand visa exempt after trip to USA and obtain new non O marriage at immigration and subsequent extension.
  4. Nup. Read the post above yours. An residential address is not what is being asked for however many folk using a utility bill etc works fine. So does a passport to that country or proof of permanent residence in a certain country.
  5. Perhaps all the folk that deal with CM should show those crackpots in immigration to read change in TM30 rules in this link. Specifically point 2.2 https://aseannow.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=689586
  6. Yes you will be stamped in for 12 months. Yes you will need health insurance. Yes you will need to buy a reentry permit if you wish to exit and reenter in "second year" Added note. If after the second year you have plan to switch to use of non O and subsequent extensions .....then to do that you would need to kill off the non O-A by exiting Thailand and reenter visa exempt (one option) to obtain non O retirement. For that reason I suggest that single reentry permits good option.
  7. Out of interest which airline. If it was Jetstar you were lucky
  8. As stated in thread. Flying with valid visa or reentry permit onward flight not required. If flying visa exempt the airline will/may require an onward flight. Generally speaking immigration not interested both at departure and arrival.
  9. All good. Just be aware that even up country the requirements for opening bank accounts has changed in recent times. Easy to check out with visit to a bank. Common these days for certificate of residence to be required. No big deal just requires bit of planning..
  10. OP, the post above has it covered. This is to draw your attention to point 1. Open a Thai bank account. That can be not as simple as one would imagine. Does he have an existing Thai bank account?
  11. Couple mentioned in this thread. You might have more luck in Chiang Mai forum.. https://aseannow.com/topic/1248449-seeking-recommendations-for-chiang-mai-visa-agent/
  12. Ok to return in June visa exempt would be no problem. The concern for immigration is back to back stays Your travel pattern does not fit that. No problem.
  13. Part of your post..... "2023, Flight in 30 day exempt in March."... It's now April. Where are you currently. If not in Thailand when did you depart?
  14. OP, slim it down You stated...flight IN visa exempt March. So that implies you are currently in Thailand? Then you also state fly into CM in June. What happens between visa exempt entry in March with possible extension and then where are you till June. Strange OP. Ever heard of a METV.
  15. I vaguely recall similar post where next report was shortened to extension due date. However that was for retirement. Please report back when you sort it all out.
  16. Understand. I avoid chit chat forums. I stick to this particular forum and sometimes visit forums such as Health forum. That forum is one of several with in the main serious feedback . Helps with mod such as @Sheryl
  17. Just bumping your OP as no replies. I don't think changing date to 2024 would help. Suggest you just attend immigration for you final stamp with print out of online rejection. Hopefully io can do a report on the spot without any fine. This question has come up previously.
  18. I won't pick out several incorrect posts above. Folk are misunderstanding the term "residency" in order to apply for certain visas. For example a USA citizen can also have permanent residence status in for example Japan. That person could apply for certain visas in both USA by providing ID page of pp. Or in Japan providing proof of permanent residence. So back to the OP passport ID is sufficient.
  19. Was that a typo for uninformative or my sarcasm alert is numb.
  20. OP, above posts correct. I understand your question and can add to your list Japan starting count on day After arrival. I only posted as Thai receive 15 day visa exempt to Japan that some folk may not be aware of and be of interest.
  21. Would assist others if you provided details of agent. Pick up at condo for that price point seems reasonable deal.
  22. Your post doesn't make sense. Thailand kept making covid extensions available beyond time when borders were open. Generous imo. Regards your reference to Chinese...they require a visa. I'm guessing you are able to enter visa exempt. That also was a generous increase to 45 days for a period of time. I recently went to Vietnam and only option to me (Oz) was single entry tourist visa 30 days. Check out all the options for trouble free stay in Thailand. METV easy and can provide up to 9 months. Hells Bells. Take a trip to most neighbouring countries. Just get a visa (required)
  23. OP, you have answers above with success. Think this is not about residential address. Passport identify page is what I would suggest.
