  1. Think you misunderstood the situation. The OP required extra couple of days. Seems has used extension already. In that situation he can apply for extension knowing full well that's not an option and will be denied He would be then given a 7 day "get out of dodge stamp" It's not a 7 day extension
  2. This has come up previously. Example UK citizen in say Vietnam can he apply for SETV e-Visa from UK when they are in (as stated) somewhere like Vietnam. IMO it was a flaw in the e-Visa introduction.
  3. This exact question has been asked previously several times times ending with vague outcomes. Thinking this is one where you need to consult with your immigration office. That can be more difficult for some. I'm in exactly same boat as OP. For years annual extensions based on retirement leaving 800k all year round. At some point I would like to move to income method. Reason is simple. To avoid having funds in Thai bank that my partner (not married) cannot access easily even with Will. I always posted that to "change" maintain the funds in bank up till date of next extension. Start 65k transfers 2 months prior to application. I'm Oz so cannot provide embassy letter. In those previous threads ubonjoe advised that I would need to show 12 months of transfers. And that guy would be right. However still thinking advice from the immigration office you deal with gives clear answer.
  4. The Thai address in pp is irrelevant. You should be asking if you can apply for e-Visa with French pp while currently in Korea. Which type of visa are you after. SETV?
  5. It's jour pattern of staying in Thailand that's the issue especially thinking you can do that with back to back visa exempt entries. Even if doing that by air your plan is one night stay in KL and back next day.. Not anyone's business why folk want the least time possible out of Thailand prior to reentry. Two possibilities would be working or the love thing. Suggest for next period of stay in Thailand have a clear plan and know what period of stay you are after. That can mean combination of METV,SETV, Visa exempt entries along with extensions. The main thing you could also consider is time spent outside of Thailand. Many many wonderful places to visit.
  6. The extension 60 days would start from expiry of current permit. Not from day of application.
  7. Application for a non O retirement in Thailand requires the 800k in the Thai bank account on day of application. That provides 90 day stamp. That gives time to season (2 months) the funds for subsequent 12 month extension.
  8. It's an error. Ignore it. No point in having it fixed.
  9. This has been discussed earlier. Also 3 visa exempts plus extensions does not match up with your stated time spent in Thailand. One land entry last year plus two this year visa exempt. Plus one via air prior to that to enter Thailand? Seems like 4 already. That would match with your stated dates. Now planning another. In the second part of another post you indicate that you have only spent "hours out of Thailand in past 8 months. IMO very little chance of entering Thailand via air visa exempt. Especially with your planned ONE night stay out of Thailand. Surely this thread is not serious.
  10. The OP has already done 4 visa exempt entries back to back. If he tries for a tourist visa imo would be issued void. Also don't think he will have success with 5th visa exempt via air. He even plans only couple of days out of Thailand. He messed up with last land border bounce.
  11. Should not require airline ticket however he has one so all good. He also needs TM7 and photo. Basic photocopies of pp pages and TM30
  12. Yes two visa exempt entries per calendar year via land borders. Nothing to do with where you are living. Obviously different for some nationalities.
  13. Why would there be an issue. You are spending a month out of Thailand after short visits. VERY different situation to the OP..
  14. I would still suggest the extension even though being in Nong Khai you can step over friendship bridge. However that also involves cost. 1900b extension is a no brainer.
  15. As pointed out..... One thing you require is a certificate of residence OR letter from your embassy. In your previous post you mention paying 500b to immigration for "white slip" That is the certificate of residence. All good at CM as they accepted your TM30 to apply for COR The thing is that won't work in Bangkok. Also some countries embassies do not provide "address letter" AU and USA being just 2 examples. Hence some folk need to use agents. Usual cost approx 5k
  16. No. That is just contact information page. The e-Visa application would not require that Here is a cut and paste from general question French pp questions...... 1 I've asked the question to an employee at the French Embassy in Bangkok working on issuing new passports does accept: she couldn't think of any use of the address indicated on a French passport. So it's unlikely that the address indicated on a French passport has any major role, if any
  17. Seems that you are referring to certificate of residence. Yes that's required to open a bank account and other things such as TDL etc. The point is the OP referred to Siam Legal. At a guess he is dealing with CW. You cannot obtain a certificate of residence from CW without having a TM47 receipt. Not possible with a tourist visa. Is possible apparently at CM as they provided one to you with a TM30 being enough.
  18. Get off the high horse. First up.....you do not need to wait for 800k to season to apply for non O. The funds need to be in bank on day of application only. Subsequently you will apply for 12 month extension (it's not a visa) . For that you will need to have the funds seasoned for 2 months. As for your other post about opening bank account.... It certainly would not fly in most provinces as you would now require a certificate of residence. What is the "white slip" you mentioned. Added issue in Bangkok is that it's impossible to obtain residence certificate with a tourist visa. Read the thread.
  19. You are very confused. You entered on a non O that gave you a 90 day permission of stay stamp. You subsequently applied for a 12 month extension based on marriage. That has an under consideration period of approx a month. The visit the photos and witnesses etc all very normal..
  20. Assume you are using this one. https://tm47.immigration.go.th/tm47/#/register/add BTW: I also once did a postal when I was couple of days "pending" online. Subsequently online was approved and later the postal was sent back with a noticed "already approved"
  21. The OP asked very simple questions. One question he did not ask is regarding legality yet you along with many others find it necessary to always include this opinion in posts.
  22. Stick to what OP asks rather than comments regarding legality of agents assisted non O and subsequent extension. Very boring.
  23. Have taken both. Last visit in Feb I took the #152. I take whichever is leaving next. "Cheaper" ...that's funny.
  24. Rule of thumb is flown back to place of departure. You may be able to push for flown back to passport country. ie Finland. I suggested Saigon as district 1 (tourist area) is a great place and the 109 direct bus to that area is 1usd and shortish drive compared to KL airport to city center. Edit: just checked. Finnish citizens have 15 day visa exempt entry to Vietnam. Also can obtain e-Visa for longer stays. Not my business but surprised you haven't explored places in Asia other than couple of days out of Thailand.
