  1. The OP mentioned GF. Why assume marriage is even on his radar.
  2. For non O retirement application you only require the 800k+ in Thai Bank account in your name only on day of application. What is also required is to show those funds came from abroad
  3. Don't know what you mean by "long O visa" You can obtain a single entry non O retirement in Thailand that gives a 90 day permit. I the last 30 days you can obtain 12 month extension. Has financial requirements. No insurance required for the non O or the extension.
  4. Good. You no doubt are aware that the 800k balance can be taken down to minimum 400k three months after the application then back up to 800k two months prior to your next application. Some folk prefer to just keep the 800k+ all year round and this avoids possible slip ups. Also good idea is to have a dedicated bank account for immigration purposes.
  5. I read another post of yours about this. The boarding pass has always been requested by immigration at airport. The fact that many travellers often do not have this to show immigration is just overlooked by the io. Since the suspension of the arrival card, the TM6 is not required to be presented for such things as 90 reports etc. Immigration offices would not be interested in a boarding pass in any way.
  6. Folk exit Thailand at places such at land border Laos to either obtain a visa (eg tourist visa). OR exit and reenter at the border with either ME non O (as is the case with OP) as an example or visa exempt entry. So the first is a Visa Run. and second a Border Bounce.
  7. I only asked expiry date since you will be gone 3 months+ It would be not be huge loss to accept visa exempt stamp at airport on return. However with a valid reentry permit the io will most likely stamp you in till Feb next year. Best of luck with your trip and family.
  8. Why the TM30. You mention wife. If returning to place of residence the TM30 would not be required Edit: I see you entered visa exempt...then yes TM30 required if you need to have anything to do with immigration
  9. You paid 10k for io to fill in forms. A non O is 2000 baht. The retirement visa you refer to is actually a 12 month extension to your permission of stay. Be aware of the financial requirements for the next 12 months in order to obtain next extension in 12 months time. Be aware that if you wish to exit Thailand and keep your extension alive you would need to purchase reentry permit prior to exit.
  10. Did you enter with a visa or visa exempt? How long were you out of Thailand. Regarding future travel plans you are best off with a tourist visa. Really depends on how much time you wish to spend in Thailand. Clearly you are under 50 as you have not considered extensions based on retirement.
  11. It is not obvious. Use of bus/train ticket has come up often. It's important for folk to be aware that a flight (if asked for) is the only thing the airline at departure will accept.
  12. Yes all very well and I basically outlined that in my first post. My post above corrected someone thinking that a bus/train ticket is ok. A flight is required just as you now outline. Thanks for confirming my posts
  13. @bkk6060 post some information that shows something other than an onward flight can be used rather than laugh emoji.
  14. Airlines at check in do not accept bus/train tickets. Must be onward flight. Here is one link for "rent a flight" https://onwardflights.com/
  15. Why so vague. You mean Thailand? In any event doubt if it would be return ticket required. Possibly onward ticket. A throw away ticket or tick from "rent a ticket" company or a ticket that you can later cancel or change dates without significant cost.
  16. Anytime you are reading something that starts with anything to do with TAT.... SKIP it
  17. Good point. I'm Oz and prior covid my Thai partner of 10 years and myself travel few times a year to Japan. Thai are 15 days visa exempt to Japan. To take her to Oz it's a full on process for tourist visa.
  18. Don't understand any part of that post. I'm not interested in what is the "wrong type of tourist " Why would you be.
  19. No way. No offense I won't even bother with the link. Extensions will remain at 30 for visa exempt and TV entries.
  20. When CCSA announces something then it will happen. If TAT states anything just take it with grain of salt. Nice deal for visa exempt entries.
  21. You require the standard copies of passport. ID (photo page) Non O visa page . Last entry stamp. TM6 (if you have one) A copy of lease if you have one or TM30. TM7 form and photo. Bank letter. Most banks are located on lower level. (SCB no branch at CW). Photocopies of pages of your bank book showing funds seasoned for 2 months and first page with account name. Best to make small deposit into the account at same time as obtaining bank letter. 100baht for letter. Ask clerk to kindly photocopy this updated page. Hand drawn map of where you live. Here is thread of report of extension using money in bank method CW.
  22. With an appointment at CW you bypass que and ticket desk. Go straight to the desk indicated on your appointment confirmation. BTW have a hard copy. Be early for your appointment. When io not busy make yourself known. You may not be called. More important than appointment details would have been list of documents that you provided.
  23. Good news for tourists. Makes 45+30 (with extention) Attractive compared to 60+30 tourist visa option..
