  1. This is normal. Wife presence needs to show previous extension based on marriage is valid Meaning you did not divorce during that year.
  2. Useless post. Rubbish. I have a 10 year partner. Not married. She has my bank details. Against law to withdrawal funds upon death.
  3. Usual rambling post. Previously on ignore Back to that status.
  4. As you know J the financials for extensions married are a good deal and the option to work as against extension retirement is useful to many.
  5. Not familiar with that office. Hopefully there is access to photocopy machine as some offices go over the top with required pp pages. Assume you can provide TM30 screenshot from hotel or similar. This is often required.
  6. Immigration office? Normally: TM7 with photo. 1900baht. Basic photocopies of passport pages. TM30..
  7. Guess it's as you say immigration office variation thing. I was under the impression that if reason extension based on changes (eg typical based on marriage to retirement or visa versa) that the extension would start from date of application.
  8. The OP exited yesterday.... Here is his post... On 4/11/2023 at 8:59 AM, DrJack54 said: You will be fine. "this was proven true few minutes ago ????"... Seems his plan is to return visa exempt.
  9. Obtain a Non O based on retirement. Can obtain that in Oz or enter Thailand visa exempt and obtain non O retirement at immigration office. Assume you have Thai bank account in your name only. Here is thread with advice for entering visa exempt to retirement option. https://aseannow.com/topic/1282251-visa-exempt-to-non-o-retirement-dates/
  10. Think have read reports of no problem. Obviously when you hit autofill you need to change the entry date.
  11. You can have Stamps transferred same visit as obtaining extension. CW you can apply for extension up to 45 days early.. Pretty sure the transfer of stamps etc is done at the extension desks (L desks) so you can make an appointment for extension and they will do it same desk. Don't forget letter from embassy, if your embassy provides one. Also notify your bank of change of pp number. BTW:if you had valid non O-A you could exit and reenter and be given a 12 month stamp. Thinking you are on extensions. Regarding the transfer, the visa will not be transferred just information regarding the visa is transferred.
  12. As you stated take the balance up to 800k for two months prior to application. Also have wife attend immigration office with you.. You should not require a TM30 as your address has not changed. Have your most recent TM47 receipt with you. Thread here.... https://aseannow.com/topic/1290794-switch-non-imm-o-extension-from-marriage-to-retirement/
  13. Don't doubt your experience. Just surprised. I sometimes post that flights from nearby countries almost always have airline requesting onward flight. Strange that long haul flights often do not. Also low cost airlines eg AirAsia very strict. As someone suggested that if there is an issue just step away from check in and book "rent a ticket"
  14. OP, that's a bummer. Suggest you forget about the appeal and enjoy your visit to thailand. How long is your planned trip.. There are options without the tourist visa.
  15. @nigelforbes really good explanation
  16. Yes that's the way it should be. TM47 should not be required as my post indicated. I also indicated that in Nov 2022 I had to provide 90 day report. So what should someone provide at CW for retirement extension.
  17. Say what! Read my earlier post. A TM47 was required from me at Doc check for annual extension based on retirement at CW Nov last year. Yeah sure some folk will post it was not asked for. As always immigration is hit and miss. Sort out your 90 day report prior to extention. You can do it on same visit for extension.. Weird thread.
  18. It varies (as usual) depending on immigration office. Couple of weeks prior to expiry is the norm. Some offices refuse earlier than that. Some allow it much earlier. My advice to OP is that if circumstance is explained then hopefully immigration office will accommodate. It certainly is possible.
  19. No. You need to exit Thailand and reenter Thailand. Obviously exit without reentry permit thereby killing off the non O-A. You can then reenter visa exempt and obtain a non O based on retirement and subsequent extension.
  20. She could obtain extension based on being a dependent since you are married. That does not require financials. She cannot obtain a reentry permit at airport. That can only be done when actually leaving and past security with boarding pass . She can obtain reentry permit at immigration prior to extension but that is a bad idea. Would have expiry only till current stamp. Needs to obtain that after extension. She can obtain the reentry permit at immigration on same visit for extension. She obtains extension first then reentry permit immediately after.
  21. You should get extension straight away if possible. Any permission of stay stamp in "old pp" remains valid even when new pp issued. BTW when does current pp expire.
  22. Excellent. If you are flying back in visa exempt consider the possible requirement for onward flight by airline at departure. Google "onwardflight.com" and rent a flight ticket companies are listed. They work.
  23. Ta. You are correct. Was thinking of METV. Silly mistake.
