  1. Stay tuned.. My understanding is that medical extension option is the new recruit. "soon to be released at a store near you"
  2. You file 90 report at immigration office where you live. Regarding mail option, I do mine via mail from anywhere in Thailand. The mail (in my case) addressed to CW immigration. If you were doing it in person it is done where you live. Sometimes read where is was done elsewhere successfully at different immigration office from where you live, however that's not usual. Your first 90 report cannot be done online. Must be in person or via mail.
  3. That's correct. I guess he needs decide border bounce and visa exempt 30 day entry that can be extended or obtain tourist visa. IMO TV his best option TV.
  4. As pointed out the tourist visa not available inside Thailand. The good news is that your current permit is till end of July. We would hope by then that land border would be open. Best to obtain a tourist visa at nearby country. That can be extended by 30 days. Depending on cost of ticket to your own country, you could consider return there and obtain a METV if they are available in home country Thai consulate.
  5. Are you referring to the OP. There is no 30 day extension to a non O. He has a covid extension and cannot obtain another with the rule change on Jan 26. An agent cannot obtain a 30 day extension.
  6. Yes you are down to 18 days now so go asap. Which immigration office. As usual some offices make their own rules. Recall (think it was CM) wanting 20 days remaining on permit at some point.
  7. The onward flight is required at departure by airline (not always). It would be extremely rare at immigration at Thai airport on arrival. In fact I have never heard of it.. Possible but extremely unlikely. Have the 20k cash on you but again uncommon to be asked.
  8. There are numerous ways to achieve that. Eventually land borders will open and that will make things simple to do what your friend is planning. Even more so if can mix in some time outside of Thailand. You mention Philippines. He could also consider Vietnam. Ripper joint. The options are many and easy.
  9. Reason I asked is best to apply for your non O couple of weeks prior to expiry of your current permit.
  10. Correct on both accounts. Keep in back of mind the border runs. Of course that will be in future when land borders are open. You are allowed 2 visa exempt land border entries per calendar year. Each entry visa exempt can be extended by 30 days.
  11. OP, obtain a new pp. I'm actually doing the same at some point this year even though I have several pages left and 4 years to run. Passports get knocked about.
  12. Because apparently the whole 11 entered on tourist visas and all rejected for covid extension. Was this at CW or Ripley's Believe It or Not.
  13. It was only eleven. All from Norway and all on the same day. Also all receive the 7 day get out of dodge stamp. Yeah sure. ????
  14. OP, your poorly informed. Those that entered on non O cannot obtain covid extensions since rules changed Jan 26. Even with agents. Don't be confused with those that entered tourist visa or visa exempt and subsequently obtain non O in Thailand. They can still obtain covid extension.
  15. Excellent. You can apply for your non O now. The funds need be in bank on day of application. How many days remaining on your current visa exempt entry?
  16. Extreme consequences if found to be on overstay Some would do it for few days and some even for 17 and think little of it. You would not have any issues at airport. Pay fine (500 baht/day). However if discovered on overstay the result could be dire. Edit: afterthought. Are your non O based on retirement? You could use agent to obtain 12 month extension. Cost 15k-20k. You have the non O entry so only require extension.
  17. A visa run for 17 days. That's bit extreme. There was recent report of guy going to Phnom Penh for and non O and returned OK. No simple exit reenter options currently. BTW you would reenter visa exempt. 30 days would be long enough
  18. That's a good point. Have a mate that does what the OP is planning. The only difference is that he maintains the 800k in bank all year, however as you point out is locked into returning (30 day window, longer at some offices) prior to end of his extension. Not ideal. On flip side just realized that with a reentry permit and annual extension he would never need worry about onward flight etc. Hassle free in that regard.
  19. Thanks for report. Good news. Did you need to provide TM30? Covid extensions scheduled to end March 25. Wonder why immigration states .. "This is your last one"
  20. That's why I asked how long each visit. Fully understand that will unfold in the future and you will decide what's suits you best. Don't rule out visa exempt entry with extension. 1900baht. Also keep in mind that borders won't always be closed and a border bounce or even short visit somewhere is possible. Tourist visas (for some) are taking longer and couple of USA friends this annual trip to Thailand came visa exempt.
  21. Attempt at humor? The settlement occurs this week. We had meeting for paperwork which we did at the condo couple of weeks ago. Along with a tradesman that does lot of the makeovers in that complex. The real estate agent is aware of the plans and on the back of that has couple of folk waiting to sign. In her opinion the hook was brand new appliances and furniture. And no I would never accept a tenant without security deposit.
