90 day by mail report window
DrJack54 replied to RubbaJohnny's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Anyone can post it. She would need her Thai ID card. You would post it EMS and include 10baht stamp on return envelope. Best to use B4 envelopes. 47baht all up. Make sure the lass keeps receipt as it has the tracking code. -
Khon Kaen TM30 for hotel
DrJack54 replied to trappedinasia's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I dont have quick answer for your current hotel. Seems the manager is not being helpful at all. Doubt he will do anything to assist.. If you haven't paid in advance I would change hotels. For anyone using hotel to provide TM30 for immigration (extension) make this very clear. The hotel can confirm that they will file the TM30 and provide you with screenshot. -
Yes will work. As for flying visa exempt the airline at departure will want to see onward flight to issue boarding pass. His options are to either buy cheapest throw away ticket. Or buy a rent a ticket from net or have a return ticket that he intends to use. My guess is he is flying Jetstar if Oz to Phuket. They are strict re onward flight. Edit: given your friend only wants to stay less than 60 days he could also consider Tourist Visa. Gives 60 day stamp when arrive Thailand.

Same as last year. As you are aware the banks (apart from SCB) are located at CW and I suggest obtaining bank letter on day of application and making small deposit into the account followed by bank obtaining bank letter. Ask the clerk to photocopy this last page. Note that the appointment system is now available at CW and it works really well if you choose to use it.

Just to confirm for others...so your first covid extension dated from the day you applied, then subsequent ones as you outlined above dated from end of permit. -

60 Day Covid Extension Of Visa
DrJack54 replied to Socheng's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You shouldn't be required to submit letter. That is box 2 on the affidavit. Box 1 states reference to Pandemic Situation. In any event others are not being ask to produce letter from embassy. They are being unreasonable. Here is the affidavit. https://aseannow.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=727659 -
COVID Extension: Bangkok
DrJack54 replied to changthenomad's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
If you entered and stamped in 30 days then you did not get VOA. Visa on arrival. You entered visa exempt and were given 30 days. Anyone that enters visa exempt obtains extensions at MTT. MTT will give you a 60 day covid extension if you can apply before Jan 25. You cannot obtain your covid extension at CW. -
Thats a good question. I just lucked onto this joint. I can't advise how to find one. You can have friends over but we never bother as there are numerous eateries etc everywhere. It's only 8 levels ground floor is L1. The management is strict (also friendly) and I like that. This is all off topic from OP so best stop there. Living highrise for myself would be a nightmare. PS no children are allowed to live here. Just gets better the more I think about it.

OP, You need to ask yourself do others have similar experience. Did you have correct code for transfers etc. More often than not it's the applicant..

Visa Agents? Yay or Nay?
DrJack54 replied to Edward Abbott's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
If you base non O and extension on marriage agents will do very little apart from assisting with organization. You will be encouraged to do obtain non O retirement along with Extension. Cost including the non O +extension would be 25-30k. If you have 400k and can have it in a bank for 3 months (2 seasoning + 1 under consideration) then do it yourself. Very simple and easy financials. -
Yes if they are not extended further. That announcement could be at the last minute. Back to your TM30 issue..... Personally I would contact your condo owner. Ask can he do you a TM30. Yes or No. If yes then ask him to send you copy of receipt. An email or messenger with screenshot will do. If he mucks around then I would ask cheapest nearby hotel that if you check in can they provide you a TM30 receipt. You basically only have this week or bank on covid extensions being continued. I believe they will.

First up don't be overly concerned about the affidavit. Box 1 or 2. They won't be interested. Fact is the world has a pandemic. Your host most likely is registered and can do a TM30 for you at your request. When they do that they receive a receipt and can take a screenshot of it and forward it to you if they are away. At MTT they have a document check ( to my knowledge) the person checking may just have tm30 on her list and you need that.
