  1. Troll posts removed. Continue and result in warning.
  2. Why do these threads continue to be started. Just wait for any update. Would not be an issue for travel plans.
  3. IMO the guys chat with OP was down to "lost in translation" They did not have a Tourist Visa. The airline would not have asked them for onward flight if they had a visa. As I mentioned re link above. Just a blog from a traveller, however thinking he did good clear job of outlining topic of entering visa exempt etc via air..
  4. Thread closed at OP request.
  5. OP, you have couple of good answers above. Given that your plans in the future are still being decided on, suggest the idea of sticking with extensions from a Non O based on marriage. Low financial requirements and funds can be used to live off once extension approved. With the type of online work you are currently doing you would not have an issue.
  6. They were not refused by immigration. Would have been by airline at departure.. No onward flight. For others: Anyone wanting to understand "onward flight" more may find this useful read: https://backpackbob.com/thailand-return-ticket/
  7. Various off topic and baiting posts removed.
  8. OP....look at this. Hit this link https://www.thaievisa.go.th/ Then look at first pic. Then next the other
  9. Assume they are not from country that provides income letter. Bit off your question however I'm guessing that they will transfer monthly amount to live off. The wife could eventually be on retirement extensions using income method. That's 65k per month of transfers. Of course she is 50+ Slightly similar situation in this thread where wife entered with Non O (retirement) https://aseannow.com/topic/1245491-dependant-spouse-with-extension-to-stay-based-on-retirement/
  10. I was about to type....that the friend could ask immigration if it's possible to do first extension based on retirement and change to dependant in second year.
  11. You can have a work permit with extensions based on Thai child. Assume you are divorced as immigration would generally not permit extensions based on Thai child support if married. https://aseannow.com/topic/1338007-non-o-based-on-having-a-thai-child/
  12. Some off topic posts removed along with replies
  13. That's correct. You can exit anytime as often as you like and receive at 180 day stamp. BTW: For future reference in my earlier post I added link to another thread with detailed report of obtaining extension at immigration office. Seems straightforward.
  14. The link I posted in first reply takes you to docs required + costs. Here... https://thaivisa-express.com/uk-passport-application-thailand/ Check out any agent via Google and they have contact details.
  15. Yes that agent has good reviews. Note: some embassies no longer providing letter for transfer of stamps. That's not an issue. Bit off topic: here is form CW use for transfer of stamps https://aseannow.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=995063&key=4ad28e64c063398b61d0a726240743c6
  16. I have read of one or two offices requiring 3 months prior to date of application. That is just plain wrong however as many post..."we all need to be aware of what our own immigration office requires"
  17. I still don't follow the OP. Why anyone would secure a Tourist visa is anyone's guess given Visa Exempt is also 60. Also why would airline check for onward flight if they had e-Visa. Doesn't add up.
  18. Thanks for update. Yes you did suggest the guys were not aware of how the rent a ticket works. They show valid booking for typically 48hrs. Longer period can be obtained by paying extra. Think it's up to 7 days.
  19. And when you return to Thailand as per the OP question.....what happens. He has temporary permission if stay. The expiry of which is shown on reentry permit.
  20. Agree. PE visa previously an option for some expats. For folk such as yourself with LTR etc that was a deal breaker. If the DTV holds up in future then why would anyone bother. Even guys such as myself doing annual extension retirement with 800k locked up are still in shock of DTV requirements (lack of) Santa Claus came unexpectedly.
  21. Misinformation ongoing from OP along with attacking replies. Thread closed
  22. You will be given 180 day stamp. Yes Good choice and you will be stamped in for 180 days on return. Are you visa exempt to Vietnam? Edit: just now good report of doing extension of DTV at Thai immigration. https://aseannow.com/topic/1350107-destination-thailand-visa-extension-requirements-posted-on-immigration-website/#findComment-19642048
