And, you'll be stuck in the farang slums. I suggest you hire a car for the day and explore the other areas on the darkside and bang sarey area, check out the Rayong beach areas. You're going to need a car to have a decent life in Thailand. Walking with your zimmer in soi bukhao traffic is dangerous.

You can be an uncaring ahole and not share anything or you'll end up feeding all the friends at mealtime. Problem is foreigners are led to the rice fields dreaming of a grand retirement.
