  1. I'd consider Cambodia the end of the line. So many US territories with warm sandy beaches to choose from.
  2. I foresee an alternative source of power in the near future that will make the elec car seem like a horse and buggy. Until then vroom vroom.
  3. I'll stick with diesel and or benzene. I can't see myself buying an elec car...ever.
  4. Very possible. Could be since I don't eat foreigner type restaurant cuisine very often I'm just out of touch with current prices.
  5. This is Soi Bukhao. Many businesses survive on long term foreigners rather than 2 week millionaires. Having a pot of drip coffee ready at a good price would increase your customer base. I make fresh ground drip coffee at home. This was just a one time deal. Road trips the old lady likes Amazon.
  6. No, I was wearing expensive shorts and collar shirt with flip flops. My limo driver is always dressed nicely, one of my requirements.
  7. Affording isn't the point. I'm looking at it from a business perspective. A frequent visitor isn't likely to stop by for morning coffee. Now I suppose if you order the usual morning breakfast then the coffee is included. Even my Limo driver who was dining with me thought it was too high.
  8. So, yesterday I arrived at tuk com too early so walked over Soi Bukhao for a breakfast. Something I never do, usually I have morning beers. I don't look at prices. Any how one small cup of instant coffee was 80 baht. I don't understand the business sense. Why would you do that?
  9. Is that what getting old does to you. Every time you hear the word bet you wake up and relive an imaginary poker game.
  10. Never played poker.....sorry.
  11. Getting all the Cartel gang members deported should help. Can't hurt.
  12. I have a limousine private limousine with a mini bar and a dedicated full time driver. Life is good. I usually stock up with limo-hos incase traffic is bad.
  13. Maybe now that the reins have been taken off ICE the US can better combat the Cartels.
  14. Bangkok bank in Jomtein does a good job supplying what is needed for extension using monthly deposit route. I'm not even sure what specifically to ask for, but the one teller does it right every year.
  15. The same is going on in San Jose. Disrupting commuters headed to work.
  16. My chauffeur runs inside and does my 90 day report on my way to the Golf Club for morning bloody marys.
  17. I can't tell sad from confused. They both look constipated.
  18. I have good BC/BS International insurance from the US. If I didn't then for sure I'd have health ins. purchased in Thailand. I firmly believe that whatever new rules come about are in part driven by the desire to increase Agent assistance. It's ingrained in the Thai way of doing business. Doesn't matter if its immigration, the land office....whatever, money greases the squeaky wheel.
  19. The did add health insurance to the 0-A visa, during covid, and that makes sense, since more than a few were stiffing hospitals. So, folks on a Non O weren't stiffing hospitals. Only the OA folks. I started with the OA, Covid came and couldn't leave to reset the OA for 12 months. Used an agent who for 3K got me a BS Ins policy. Requiring the OA's to have Ins and not the O's seems weird.
