How Can I Help My 10 Year Old Thai 'Stepdaughter'?
Lacessit replied to siftasam's topic in Chiang Mai
Leave the assets to your stepdaughter. I'd suggest finding a reputable solicitor to act as executor, then the ex-girlfriend can do nothing. -
I'd say I have been quite generous with my GF. I am saying you are out of touch with reality, have you ever been outside a Thai city?

Trump wins Iowa caucuses, cementing frontrunner status in 2024 race
Lacessit replied to webfact's topic in World News
Perhaps you have not noticed, the threats are escalating. It's quite funny to hear a Trumper rabbiting on about due process, there wasn't much of that from his acolytes on Insurrection Day. -
As they say, there's one born every minute. 500 baht for an hour or so of cleaning is stupid, when the minimum wage is less than that for an eight hour day.

In other words, Trump has flouted the law for long enough. He's gotten away with inflammatory posts on social media which would not be tolerated from any other defendant. -

I am waiting for just one judge to say enough, I am holding Trump in contempt. Take him down, he does not get the option of a fine. -
Donald Trump's return could leave Europe 'on its own', De Croo warns
Lacessit replied to Amethyst's topic in World News
The most viable explanation is Gazprom blew up the pipeline. When the Kremlin shut off the gas supply to Germany, Gazprom was liable for billions in penalties for defaulting on its supply contracts. When the pipeline was blown up, Gazprom was no longer liable for the penalties, as it could invoke force majeure. It's a pretty short-sighted decision by the Russians. Nordstream 1 cost about 8 billion euros, and seawater has by now ruined the pipeline for good. No country in Europe is going to pay to build another one. The Chinese might shell out for one. However, that's going to take 7-8 years to build, by then Russia will IMO be a failed state. -

Debt to GDP ratio increased 25% in Trump's last year of office. It was a decrease of 5.8% in Biden's first year in office. My apologies if these facts interfere with your fantasies. -

The more nuclear arms proliferate, the more likely it is they will fall into the hands of some fruitcake who is prepared to use them in a conflict, or as a terrorist act. Are you deranged? -

Putin has repeatedly stated his desire to see the Soviet Union restored to the Cold War boundaries of the eighties, and bemoans the fall of the USSR as the worst thing ever to happen to Russia. If he is successful in Ukraine, he won't be stopping there. It's delusional to think otherwise. -

Lacessit replied to webfact's topic in World News
Already been done, it was called the Strategic Defense Initiative ( SDI ) back in the eighties. No doubt Trump will claim credit for that too. Perhaps he will put on an extra layer, with bleach sprayers. That way, he can have white people, and still get cheap labor. -

Death rates in Republican states were invariably higher than those in Democrat states. It's a matter of conjecture how many deaths the Trump political rallies contributed. -

IIRC Trump was not averse to employing Mexicans in his properties as a source of cheap labor, before he started his Nazi shtick of "poisoning the blood". Many Republicans have done the same. The real reason the GOP does not want them in America is they tend to vote Democrat when they get citizenship, and Republicans are outnumbered on the popular vote already. You cite Australia as one of the examples of illegal immigration. We are having having truckloads of trouble from various legal immigrants. We are also spending billions of dollars on detention centres. Personally, I would let them all come, legal and refugees. Probationary period, then citizenship. If they misbehave, they get deported back to the sh!thole they came from, including any families they have. -
Thai herbs: Nature’s secret weapon against deadly PM2.5 dust
Lacessit replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Agree. I am also wondering how many of these herbs have been rigorously tested for their effect on liver and kidney function. Mind you, paracetamol is a very common drug which, in combination with excess alcohol, is very damaging to the liver. -
How many Thais do you know who are XXL? They'd be too big for me, and I am 6 ft and 82 kg. The Thai staff you have probably go straight to a secondhand shop, and sell anything they can there.

Donald Trump's return could leave Europe 'on its own', De Croo warns
Lacessit replied to Amethyst's topic in World News
It's why Trump has publicly stated he wants the US economy to crash, the comparison of his administration's economic performance with that of Biden is not flattering. Of course, his rusted-on base would not even know the meaning of the acronym. -
can you understand today's actors mumbling on tv?
Lacessit replied to Pouatchee's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I find the easiest way to deal with mumbling actors is to stop watching them. IMO Game of Thrones had some of the best enunciation of lines, particularly Peter Dinklage ( Tyrion Lannister ). -

Trump wins Iowa caucuses, cementing frontrunner status in 2024 race
Lacessit replied to webfact's topic in World News
I always thought it was a shame Trump did not meet the same fate with COVID. He had the best taxpayer-funded medical care at Walter Reed Hospital. I can't recall him ever expressing gratitude to the medicos for saving his life. Just continued to ignore the risk to his followers, with more political rallies. -

The first country to use nukes against another country will be obliterated by everyone else. Perhaps you have forgotten what the acronym MAD means. The last time Russia invaded Europe was 2014, when it annexed Crimea illegally. Russia has multiple gates through which it can be attacked via west or east. It had nine gates closed to the west after WWII, now it only has one. Ukraine for them is just a stepping stone. It's a bit ironic Russia is focused on conflict in the west, where they have usually given as good as they got. The real damage to the Russian psyche has been done by invasions from the east. Mongols and Tartars. Back on topic, I have no doubt if Trump gets in, he will jettison Ukraine. Not surprisingly, as Moscow is probably bankrolling him. -
If money has been brought up quickly, AND she has been an bar owner, IMO those are a huge red flag. IME bar owners have hearts of stone. I store all my passwords with Bitwarden, it has only one master password. Photograph all your cards and documentation on your password-protected phone. Back up the information on an encrypted thumb drive. It saves time if anything is stolen.
