  1. I asked my urologist whether I should have a TURP., based on having an obstructive prostate. His response was to stay with the medication as long as possible. According to him, the Rezum treatment is no better than a TURP. The risk of impotence, incontinence and retrograde ejaculation he put at 80-90%. As he has about 20 years surgical experience, with the qualifications FRCS/FRACS after his name, I am more inclined to accept his opinion than yours.
  2. Why should I get bothered by what people address me as here? I am better educated and more financially secure than the majority of Thais.
  3. Snakes and scorpions are part of the rural Thai diet. I'd say the mosquitoes would get more protein from you than you would from them.
  4. After a few days of mosquitoes, leeches, snakes and scorpions I suspect your mindset will be different.
  5. It's about the amount of stored energy available to support a fire. A typical household powerwall is about 5 kWhr. Teslas run to 85 kWhr. That's a lot of stored energy. Size matters.
  6. I have one Kasikorn account in Chiang Rai, another in Chiang Mai. The OP will probably find, as I did, there are fees for transferring funds between accounts. Although I don't know if the same applies when transferring via the internet. I will probably close the CM account the next time I am there.
  7. Yeah, like more than half a dozen business bankruptcies do. I have to admit he's good at extracting donations from people whose IQ's fall in the idiot, moron and imbecile ranges.
  8. In a former Windows life, I had a different email address. There's a guy in Surfers' Paradise, Australia, who has come up with a program which detects whether one's data has been breached. Scammers usually begin with the email address, and build a profile from there. When I put in my former email address, his software informed me I had had 32 data breaches. With my current email, and MX Linux, my data breach count is zero.
  9. And getting higher, as vehicle manufacturers try to eliminate range anxiety.
  10. I recently bought a new laptop here, and the staff at the shop looked blank when I asked if they could install Linux as the OS. Apparently they are only familiar with Macs or Windows.
  11. Said YouTuber is not anti-EV, he is simply pointing out some of the myths that surround EV's. Such as the twaddle EV owners are saving the planet. He has been a motoring journalist for many years, with a strong background in science and engineering. Shooting the messenger is no solution. What you say about the frequency of EV fires is quite true. However, it is the intensity and toxicity of combustion products emanating from an EV battery fire which makes them several orders of magnitude more dangerous. Fire-fighting crews can extinguish an ICE fire without much difficulty. Gasoline or diesel needs oxygen to burn. They can't smother an EV fire, as it has its own oxygen supply in the battery chemistry.
  12. You should be able to negotiate with the desk staff to cater for your needs.
  13. Bought Kelloggs All=Bran on Lazada, about the same price as in Australia. Going forward to next year, I have paid 23,000 baht for a return ticket Bangkok to Melbourne. With flight changes permitted, and 20 kg hold luggage. IMO that's a pretty good deal post-COVID.
  14. Apparently there's a judge in New York that agrees.
  15. I speak and comprehend Thai quite competently. Don't bruise yourself jumping to conclusions.
  16. Reality is for people who can handle it.
  17. You may be right about the Thai roads. IMO your philosophy won't work too well in a bar with half a dozen Thais, or in the aftermath of a road accident. I don't think I am a coward, just not a testosterone-fuelled idiot.
  18. I suggest you take a look at the number of years I have been posting, and the content. I am several football fields separated from KH's wordy and repetitive posts.
  19. Over quite a few years, but don't let that deter you. I can say I have not made about 400 posts on a single thread, as you have.
  20. Because there are many Thais who own guns, and we are not permitted to own them too. If I get tired of listening to the chickens, dogs and cats in the village, I can always move back to my condo, and listen to the traffic instead. Noise is omnipresent in Thailand, I ignore it.
  21. It is made as an infusion, by boiling in water. I understand the ratio is ten leaves to one litre of water. Refrigerate after cooling down. It may or may not work for you, everyone is different. Half a cup is enough for me. It is addictive, which is why I only use it occasionally. I take it on an empty stomach, eat something sweet ( e.g. mango ) afterwards as it is somewhat bitter. I have a supplier, kratom can also be bought on Lazada.
  22. IMO the uncompetitive talent pools are a predictable outcome of the Thai education system, with its emphasis on conformity and obedience. You reap as you sow.
  23. Another poster laughing at his lame and puerile jokes. Do you have a life outside ASEAN?
  24. The size of the man's wallet is really all that matters to many Thai women. I have noticed Thai women tend to gravitate towards white skins. They associate dark skins with working in the rice fields, i.e. low class. I can remember a quite wealthy Indian guy complaining about how Thai women disrespected him.
