  1. That is more than 70 from each country.
  2. I am sure it has happened in the past, and will do so again to somebody, somewhere.
  3. Until you go to renew your extension next time and the IO notices. Bye bye extension.
  4. Yes, I have used it in Europe OK. Will try THB later today.
  5. A load of superstitious shoe repairers
  6. Yes a VISA card can be used anywhere, but if, for example, I used my Nationwide Visa Debit in Lotus's (other supermarkets are available), Nationwide will add a 'foreign use' charge, and an ATM withdrawal will apply if used there. If you have a THB balance on your Wise Multicurrency (formerly Transferwise Borderless) Visa card and specify that THB are charged, then no fee or charges will apply. I've tried it.
  7. No, white is non-coloured. 555
  8. Don't put us all in the same boat as yourself.
  9. Or use the + & - buttons, top right on your keyboard.
  10. Have you tried updating your Windows from 7 to 11? 555 AOMEI Partition Assistant works fine for me.
  11. You mean until after you kick it? 555 Stocks etc are only a piece of paper, if that, until you sell.
  12. So even the British Thai Embassy doesn't know that it is an International Driving PERMIT, not license.
  13. For 3 or 4 pages a month, put it onto a USB stick and go to a local shop.
  14. But if you are using the monthly transfer method and apply 28 days early, you may then have only 11 transfers. How would that pan out?
  15. When I was at school, two months meant say from 23rd June to 22nd August, that is two CALENDAR months. If talking about Jan/March, then 31 + 28 = 59 days, March to May = 31+30 = 61 days. You can apply up to 2 weeks in advance so the number of days is actually irrelevant.
  16. But when it comes to renewing your extension at 12 months, if the IO sees that you went below 400k at any time, there goes your renewal.
  17. Your post 3 minutes before this one seems to contradict your valued answer of 'NUP'
  18. As far as I can see, Dr Jack has only said 'no, not correct' and 'nup'. It would be far more helpful if he said which part was not correct ie 7 months instead of 6. Although I would have thought that the OP, Mr Oww would have known this after 10 years as a member here.
  19. No ! If you have a Wise Borderless Account in GBP, or any other GBP a/c, and a Thai Foreign Currency Account, you could do it only in GBP, and pay 1% for the honour.
  20. The ones using it as a medical aid are more likely to drive than someone who has smoked for recreational purposes as they will think the doctor said it was OK.
  21. I too have no issues with VLC, and regularly update my Windows 11. A very useful app.
  22. Hey spambot. Why not use search WISE and read all the many many other posts and answers on this question. Since you joined in 2011, it's been done to death. But here's a quick summary of MY understanding of the WISE (formally Transferwise) process of say GBP from UK to Thailand where there are three partner banks which are used, Bkk, Kasikorn & Dee Money who will act as intermediary banks for any others. There is NO actual transfer between the two countries, WISE has Baht deposited in their partner banks here. It will show as a local transfer on any paperwork from WISE, and in your Thai bank. If it is for Immigration purposes when you need it to show as a foreign transfer, those are the only three which will show it a such and you will have to get a Credit Advice from the others. You must put the reason as long term stay or buying a property for that foreign coding. As for timescale it is usually immediate if those two reasons are NOT used. If it is for the two reasons quoted, it should arrive shortly after 2pm the same day if instigated before about 6am, or the next day at 2pm because there is a modicum of human intervention involved. A weekend, or public holiday will affect this. That is my understanding of the WISE system from past experience and reading previous posts on the subject.
  23. A VISA (or Mastercard or others) can be either a Credit or Debit card. My Bkk Bank Debit (ATM) card is Visa as are my Nationwide and Barclaycard Credit cards. The difference is that when I spend on my Bkk Bank card, it is MY money, whereas on the others it is NOT MY money and I must pay it back eventually, with interest
