    Actually UHD or4K are the viable options these days, which will work with almost any PC, making them DUAL purpose.

    The xxTB depends on how much data you are backing up, the largest usually being movies, nothing to do with the speed of the back up medium.

    Luckily for me, my IO is close to Makro/Lotus where I go weekly, and that is 35 KM away.
