  1. Maybe the drivers need to look at their own behavior. Instead of so many excuses. That is a major issue it seems. People deny accountability for their actions. Not only driving, but other situations. It’s always the fault of something or someone else.
  2. I’m sure the students did an excellent performance. And gave them an opportunity to demonstrate their skills. But unfortunately this will accomplish nothing.
  3. Especially professionalism in relation to the type of job they have. But that has a lot to do with the mentality. And poor management. As an example. I’m a member of a gym that is a major company here in Thailand. Most of the staff do nothing but hang out and stare at their phones. The assistant manager who is Australian was chatting with me one day. I mentioned this to him. He said the staff don’t listen to him and that is the culture. I told him if they don’t listen to him do something about it.
  4. I’m feeling it personally. A small percentage of my investments portfolio is in the stock market. Which has lost money.
  5. One problem is . You have a number of tourists and expats that come to another country. And they think they can do whatever they want. Things they couldn’t get away with in their own countries. Not following the rules. Insulting people. Rudeness.
  6. This type of issue not only in Thailand. But in some western countries it’s a fairly common problem also. . Some of it is dropped on site by visitors. But most of it probably washed up from the sea.
  7. A good part of it is enforcement. But even lack of enforcement. One would think people would have common sense not to do something risky. Those types of people really don’t care of the consequences for themselves or others.
  8. And they always will ignore them. They only care about themselves.
  9. What type of a house do you live? Is it in a community that is controlled by a management company? Is there any type of security? Basically anyone in charge that you can speak to? This has nothing to do with the OP personally . But I notice numerous people post that if you have an issue you shouldn’t say anything. Because harm can come to you. And if it involves housing you should just keep moving. I don’t understand why people would want to live in a country permanently or long term. Where you have to be so afraid of the locals, that you can’t stick up for yourself? So if you have an issue just keep running away and moving? Or just accept it, be miserable, and live in fear? And so many expats say how great the locals are. But they have to walk on egg shells around them. And accept any type of nonsense that’s given out.
  10. It sounds like substances to induce sleep will not be that helpful for you. You should speak to a doctor that specializes in sleep disorders. You might need to take a sleep test. Possibly you have an underlying condition you are unaware of.
  11. With all the different medical opinions on what vaccine to get, how often, and how to get it. I’m not surprised people are developing mental health issues.
  12. I thought it was stated in another article. Covid is not a medical emergency anymore
  13. It really depends on the person. Not if she is Thai or western . Good and bad all over the world. Plenty of couples have also been married for a very long time in western countries also. Im not married. And to be truthful. I have dated a number of Thai women since I been here in the last two years or so. And in the first couple of meetings it was obvious they were looking at the money. Not at the person. A lot of men on here seem to have been married to their wives for a number of years. Peoples attitudes were probably different then. A Thai man once told me. Ten years ago and beyond it was different. Now people focus on money more.
  14. I believe this is a one day holiday. If a person can’t be without drinking alcohol for one day or even a few days. They might have a problem then.
  15. I notice on posts and Thai television news. There are a lot of violent acts for just little things. Seems like you have a lot of hot headed immature people here. With not much of a brain, just know how to physically fight someone over every little thing. Just like these two male scumbags that beat a woman because their pride was hurt.
  16. If this was in certain other countries she would face criminal charges and the child taken.
  17. It’s a nice thing that was done. But nothing special compared to what an honest person with a conscious would do.
  18. What a surprise. Since these studies have been around for a while.
  19. There are a number of things that can happen depending on insurance, extent of the damage, owners , etc. So difficult to give an answer. I commend you for taking responsibility for what happened. I see by some of the responses , some would have acted they knew nothing about it. And shed responsibility . Nice to see we have some quality expats living in Thailand.
