There is not too much of "probably" about it, so why all the fuss about 4am closing when many clubs & bars continually & knowingly break the law.

There are quite a few situations in Thailand that us farangs do not understand, the authorities seem to have an irresponble attitude to things like this face book post which we will never understand. If its not financially or personally beneficial its often gets put in the "why should we bother" basket. Its rather sad but thats life here in the LOS !!!

Then why can some clubs & bars stay open & serving alcohol in Koh Samui until 5am if the law is currently 2am???

thats the biggest joke I have heard in years, do they know what the word ethics actually means?

It would be interesting to know the real facts here, MFP just happened to be the the party with the most votes so if their members can be discredited that would be convenient for the current governing party for the next election??

The outcome of a very inefficient & corrupt immigration system/police force and the quest to attract "Quality" tourists from nations with many undesirables and you get what Thailand is now experiencing.

I came to Thailand 5 years ago believing that this was a beautiful Buddhist nation, sadly every week I am reminded how in reality Bhudism is a convenient front for many, face and money are the single most important things to many Thai people.

Koh Samui general hospital which is the government public hospital in Nathong, doubt what you like Mike!

Last year I went to a public hospital in Koh Samui, saw a doctor and requested a colonoscopy due to the fact that I had lost a lot of weight in the last 6 months, the following week I had the colonoscopy which cost around THB 20,000. I had no polyps so no extra charges. I also received quotes from several hospitals in Surat Thani and Bangkok who willingly quoted me for the procedure. Reading comments from others on this forum where they say public hospitals will not perform this is incorrect.

There is some truth in what you say and the same should apply to Russian's Putin who has taken part of the Ukraine and wants to take more. He needs to get out of Georgia & Balarus and where ever else he has his armies!

If you can't get enough booze and bar girls by 2am there's something wrong with you, this will just increase crime, road accidents and all the BS that goes with the type of patrons who will frequent the establishments in these hours.

Expect to see a rise in these types of crimes with Thailand's new visa rules and their quest for attracting supposed "quality" tourists. They just dont see the bigger picture and think its very clever sucking up to the leaders of certain nations! You reap what you sow Thailand!

What would a board of enquiry establish, the vessel was already badly listing when it got hit by big seas. So why was the vessel even out there given it had an obvious problem. Poor maintenance initiated the problem and incompetency sealed its fate!

A Frigate makes a lot more sense and given that they recently lost a vessel due to poor maintenance and incompetency hopefully they can maintain a new Frigate and operate it with a higher level of competency than a submarine!

The problem with 90% of the "greenies" is they take all of these aspects or scenarios beyond what is sensible to the stage that they are environmentally damaging. The global Electric Vehicle push is & will substantially increase carbon emissions but the sheep leading the sheep are too stupid to see this. They see less fossil fuel powered vehicles on the road and more EV's but forget how these electric powered vehicles are made, the increase in fossil fuel powered machinery to extract raw materials, the cost of these raw materials, the fossil fuel powered manufacturing process and finally the environmental disaster disposing of the batteries after they fail and are no longer serviceable. I guess its a bit like the Covid con which made a few people very rich and many very poor, but as long as the rich get richer, the Greenies get their reckless ideas instated then why should they care, even at the expense of our planet.
