  1. Check with the airline to see if they haul freight cargo, most do and its usually cheaper. If so don't mention your ticket for flying and just ship it to the destination hold for pick up
  2. I believe the reporter was using his name as her "high up contact" that could get the charges dropped when she was asking for the bribe from the Chinese person. Not quite sure if something got lost in translation
  3. Straight talking no nosense guy that can't take someone being honest and straight back to you. You can move on now as I am
  4. Sorry that you could not understand my post but it was to the OP not you. It's fine to disagree. I see by your last sentence the type of person you are so feel free to pass by my posts. I was only being courteous but also couldnt care one way or the other if you agree with me or not.
  5. It appears your just trolling now to continue to argue. I haven't fixated on your using the wrong date in you comments, so you need to just move on I'm done with this discussion with you
  6. That's your idea of what I said and meant so we'll just leave it at the message from Krungsri. Have a great day
  7. Your idea of what the message means is slightly different than mine. You have to do it before they can start so here is the message: If you haven't had your photo taken with us, please visit any Krungsri Bank branch with your ID card/passport (for foreigners) to register your face for identity verification in KMA starting from 27 June 2023 when transferring money 50,000 Baht or more per transaction and cumulative transfers of 200,000 Baht/day.
  8. You apparently didn't understand what I wrote, so you can read it again. I have no western agenda, just common sense from being here and seeing and living with the truth of thailand Your statements are canned comments typical of people that like to feel entitled while stayimg in another country. We will have to disagree andd that's OK. Have a great day
  9. Your experience in this situation is fairly normal depending on the visa category you are here on. If you've been living in another province and doing 90 day reports there and C of R there and then move You could do your TM30 first and then your 90 day/c of r where you now live. I do tk ow if you did that or not. Your sudden new location is probably the reason for the "confusion" when you went in. The hone visit is normal (depending on visa category) for them. They should arrange the visit first but don't have to. If they dont prearrange the visit you do not have to stop what your doing and come immediately unless it's convenient.
  10. Multi-cultural society benefits the country long term but is far from. a top priority. They need reform in educatuon that will take decades to actually correct. They need effective infracture remodeling and correction, they need judicial reform and legislative law reform, police and Immigration restructuring. They need to separate the military from the political system. They need to end corruption and kickback payment systems. The list can go on and on. They may well at some point adrress the visa structure to eliminate the ability of so many"expats" from being able to abuse and play the system long term but I dont see that happening until they can develop other forms of nation economy so they are not bound to the tourist dollar so heavily. Look to Japan and Germany as examples of the time it takes to rebuild a nation, not through war destruction but the general restucturing and rebuild a country in the terms of time.
  11. It would takes a few decades to pull off a move to a high level country as there are so many basic fundentals to be changed to have that occur. Older generations will need to die off and younger generations will slowly change some areas but it would be a long process
  12. I'm not your secretary so I don't need to do your work. It's your bank so you should deal with it. Your settings for facial recognition are probably similar to whether you want a finger print for log in and has nothing to do with the new requirements being rolled out.
  13. Krungsri has as I was receiving notices with the date of June 27 each time I logged on via the phone app. I've already gone and gotten my pic done last week. They copied my data page of my passport, my savings account book and took the facial pic. There was no real explanation other than it had to be done
  14. No I believe it's for everyone and must be done before 27th of June per messages I've gotten from the banks there is so e bad translation of the requirements iveseen also
  15. We will have to disagree as your opinion differs as to what is properly correcting a stated issue versus just "an attempt to fix a problem" and what mine is. You other comments are also off the mark and you should also practice what you advise toward reading. I'm done discussing this with you so have a good day.
  16. There are 2 issues going in this thread so dont mix them together. for the quantity of tile that are not supported properly the correct fix is pull them and replace them properly. Are there other methods yes, will the work correctly or completely probably not. I'm a mechanical engineer by trade so I have some understanding of the issues involved. Can you pump thin set, yes but will you know how much area is corrected or not, no. Thats my opinion as a professional, you have yours.
  17. my statement is correct and I standby it. Ive used cement caulk countless times and I've also used ready mixed and the ready mix will crack unless its an epoxy based mixture which the one I am recommending and it comes as a caulk, in a tube
  18. If the crack is not very wide you can use a caulk made for concrete. It's flexible and has the texture of sand and Grey color. If the crack is wider than 1/4 " they make a backer bead made from foam like a rope. Stuff that down into the crack and them the caulk has something to press against as you caulk the crack. You need something flexible or if you patch it with mortar mix it will just crack again
  19. You can't, they sound hollow as there is no mortar bed completely covering the underside. They can Crack very easily. Only correct way is to pull them and replace them
  20. That's a pretty normal statement from most all democratic govts worldwide in a situation like this and has nothing to do with "being the voice of America". But as a side note as the US Ambassador in Thailand he is the voice of America diplomatically in country
  21. There's a concept known as " a second opinion". Any different "things'" that are found and needs more testing" I would consider it's significance and say no if it isn't something pressing and causes no problems presently. No matter how good the insurance they have their limits too, usually you don't get a no pay response until after the fact unless you have pre-approval on somethings. It's been my experience here that a hospital stay can become a fishing expedition easily, but not always. If it's something pressing and seems that it should be looked at then second opinion. Is where I go
  22. Hahahaha, and your comments are based on non related personal experience that applies only to you and has no basis to the story but your trying to insert it there as fact or proof of something. It's a public forum, I post my comments and you post yours. If we dont agree that's fine but I'm not required to take your own unrelated life and accept it for the facts of what happened instead of the news that was posted. I don't think so. As I said we disagree and there is no reason to continue to talk to you about this topic. Have a good day
