  1. The number is significant enough now to make a difference. About 28% with at least one jab as of today. Why only 3 "?". Why not 5 or 10? People will take you even more seriously then.
  2. Cases continued rising weeks after the lockdown so I doubt the current drop has that much to do with it. Same thing happened in India. Their cases dropped even though they never had much if any lockdowns going on. It didn't have much to do with vaccination either. At the time they were probably less than 10% with at least one jab.
  3. The headline of this post must be ruining the doom mongers days. For those miserable sods, a day without doom is like a day without sunshine. For the inevitable "buh it's so low compared to normal times". It's ultra low rainy season right now and not a lot of flights that have been added yet. Wait till high season kicks in and people have had time to plan for the trip and the airlines have had time to add more flights based on increasing demand.
  4. I think that was one of the driving forces behind getting full approval.
  5. That does not consider things like overwhelmed hospitals which causes problems such as critical surgeries that have to be delayed. By those around you I was thinking of kids under 12 who can't get vaccinated yet. Like this 3 yo girl. If you don't want to get vaccinated for yourself get it for them.
  6. I can't think of anything dumber than these people who are playing russian roulette with their life and health, and of those around them, by refusing to get the vaccine. Some even going as far as paying for a fake vaccine certificate that they could have gotten for free.
  7. What does that have to do with your mischaracterization of the article you posted?
  8. Umm, some hotels are filling up, getting harder to make a reservation, a lot of restaurants getting busy, and more people arriving every day. These are based on reports from people actually there, which is obviously not you. Perhaps you should consider getting your 'news' from sources beside pulling it out of thin air or trying to echo other doom mongers here wishing they were there.

    Ivermectin

While you were flailing your arms around you apparently forgot to make a point that is somehow related to Covid.

    Ivermectin

These people are so dumb that the FDA had to issue a statement telling them they are not cows begging them to stop taking veterinary drugs.
  11. Yup, MedPark Hospital in BKK has been giving out Pfizer shots the past couple weeks.
  12. The thing I am waiting for is when India, the world largest vaccine producer, starts exporting again. Maybe by the end of the year. The world will be flooded in vaccine when that happens.
  13. How did you type this message and where did that device or many of the parts in it come from? If what you say is true, the fact you posted this message would not be possible. How could that be?
  14. They why are so many western brand name products built there? Everything from car parts to household appliances to air conditioners. Also, check the labels on your western brand name clothes. It's an extremely strong point in China. Just because a lot of cheaply built things come from China does not mean they can't mass produce quality products as well. They tend to be behind the west in innovation but they seem to be getting better at that as well.
  15. What point are you trying to make? Palm and coconut trees are what you put next to a beach in the tropics because that's what naturally grows there and also what tourists expect. You expect them to put up evergreens or something?
  16. They are all over 60. I know at least one of them has diabetes but not sure about the others. I don't know how they got registered but I will ask. I believe they had to go to Bangkok Hospital to get it. I also know of some guys getting AstraZeneca shots at Bangkok Pattaya Hospital.
  17. They are being administered to foreigners. I personally know of at least 3 expats who have gotten their first Pfizer shot and have an appointment for a 2nd one. Any other questions?
  18. I was really disappointed when they trimmed all the trees and tore some of them down a few years ago, resulting in a LOT less shade. Almost none in some spots. That didn't make much sense to me then. I'll reserve judgement until I see what they are doing now. If they plan to plant more or ?
  19. Show us your verified links then. I can tell you first hand that a lot of the info some here are spewing is a bunch of made up nonsense. Don't even get me started with the constant "Phuket sandbox is going to fail" nonsense. You don't hear much of that here anymore because a lot of hotels are starting to fill up, as expected. And it's still ultra low season. Wait till we get into Oct/Nov. So the doom mongers do what they do best, move on to the next shiny object to complain about instead of admit they were wrong, and they are almost ALWAYS wrong. Now they are beaking off about lack of vaccines. I can guarantee you that will gradually improve. It already has quite a bit. So the perpetually wrong doom mongers will just move on from that eventually.
  20. Sure seems to be a lot of virologists on this message board who love to give their expert opinions...that they pull out of thin air and that always seems to conclude that THAilAnd BaD.
  21. monito.com will compare several money transfer services. Remitly rate is deceiving because they don't take anything off the top of the exchange for your first transaction. Their exchange rate is considerably lower than wise.com for subsequent transactions, but still better than western union. After recently looking into this myself I concluded that wise.com is probably the best for bank to bank transactions where it is going to an exising bank account. They don't do cash pickup service. Remitly is probably best for cash pickup since their rate is better than western union.
  22. Semi-civilized? So must not be the US where 100 million people think Covid is fake news and refuse to get vaccinated.
  23. If they are locking everything down and cases are still rising at the same rate then obviously the lockdowns don't work. At least not with Delta. The solution is not more lockdowns and restrictions and more economic hardship. As the saying goes, the definition of insanity is repeating the same thing over again expecting a different result.
