Oh sorry to offend - my source was Thiger news. I know all in Phuket are desperate for the sandbox to work but the cost in deaths due to the diversion of Vax away from the old and sick to 18 healthy year olds etc is not worth the few Bhat in revenue.
You if the old/sick had been prioritised - the complete opening up of all tourist areas would be very close now. Shame on Phuket.
Cool story. How about a link.

Always entertaining watching the serial whiners here flop around like fish out of water. Trying to squeeze the last ounce of negativity from any situation even if it's old news now.
I wish this website didn't remove that thread on the Sukhumvit tunnel all the perpetually wrong serial whiners where absolutely postitively sure was going to flood the first time it rained. That thread should have been pinned at the top of this forum to show what a bunch of idiots these people are.

Why should Delta spread more and quicker as it is already the prevalent strain and cases are already dropping? Whether there will be more cases in future is purely speculation but lockdowns, longer or otherwise, are entirely at the behest of the government. You really do need to lighten up a bit and stop your fear mongering.
I think a lot of these people are antisocial and want endless lockdowns because then everyone is a shut in with no social life, just like them.
You also have some here who just want to whine about everything. Some of the same people who were whining about imposing lockdowns are probably now whine about lifting lockdowns.

i checked the location here.....there will be no bars there,,,but View talay has so many people living there......I think too many....becomes a huge mess....
I have never heard any complaints of outside noise from VT 2 I think that area is fairly safe from that. I do think it can be a bit of a problem with all the short term visitors using AirBnB, which is allowed there without restriction I believe, or maybe 1 month minimum? So it's kind of the luck of the draw what floor you are on and if there are lots of AirBnB flats on your floor and nearby. I wouldn't want to be too close to the elevator.
Two pieces of advice I have heard from people who lived there. They seemed to think the side facing Pattaya is better because you don't get the sun blasting in and also a nicer evening breeze. Also, I was told that's it's best to be on or above the 6th floor because mosquitos won't go that high. Not sure how true that is. Another thing is that I think the rooms are bigger in VT2A compared to VT 5 across the street. Maybe VT2B too but not sure about that one.

So, Pattaya beaches still closed but Koh Larn beaches already open.
A good reason to visit the island.
Pattaya beaches are also opened as far as I know. I think they are also going to allow swimming pools in Pattaya to open with some restrictions.

Great - so you lock out local tourists in favour of the failed litterbox and now want them back.
Flip flopperty fippping flop
If it is failed why am I getting reports from people actually there that it is starting to get quite busy? Clearly someone appears to be trying to spread mis-information. I think you should immediately check your sources which you are most likely pulling out of thin air anyways.

The AZ shot kicked my butt for a couple days, but I never felt a thing from the Pfizer shot about 12 week later.
Does anyone know if Thailand accepts this as legit 2 jabs for arriving tourists? I am assuming they will since they are mixing jabs now, but I haven't read anything official anywhere.

I know lots people who have lived in 2A and some still living there. They all seemed to like it. 2B is not as popular. I think the main reason is because it's about 200m further walk to the main road.
Even people who always use a scooter seem to prefer 2A because they still want to walk to nearby things or take the baht bus sometimes. I know 200m doesn't sound like a lot until you try do it in 40c with high humidity or in a monsoon downpour.

You make a compelling argument. Maybe I should cancel my planned Phuket trip. The doom mongers here constantly cheerleading for failure to try feel better about their own station in life are never wrong.

Is there any evidence that banning alcohol stops COVID from spreading? Does COVID live in beer and wine?
I don't get it either. Does anyone have a clue what the rationale is for this?

There are domestic flights leaving Phuket airport to Bangkok and Utapao (Pattaya). Today, Thai Lion air to DMK and Nok air to Utapao.
And, Nok air has flights a few days a week to and from Utapao/Chiang mai.
According to the Nok air website there are no longer any Utapao flights as of Aug 31. The Utapao website does show two Air Asia flights a week. Fridays and Sundays.

Any mouthwash , like Listerine kills them in your mouth . This has been said already long time ago . It doesn't do anything else , since it is in the saliva , and you make new saliva every second . It cuts down on transmission rate for a while ( minutes , not hours ) , and doesn't at all prevent you from being sick/infected . The virus enters and is inside your body . Kill them in your mouth is good for prevent spreading for a short while but doesn't do anything else .
It's almost as if antiseptics kill viruses or something. Go figure.

You can't keep a doom monger down. Saying "covid bad" is all they have left to cling onto before they switch to "buh Pattaya beach....flooding....the treesssss" full time.

Not that anti-vaxxers will care about such inconvenient facts. On the bright side, this is an improvement from touting a horse dewormer.

Were those flights between Phuket - Pattaya (Utapao) going before the pandemic or is this something new?

The title of this thread must be sending shivers down the spines of the doom mongers. Predictably, they are working extra hard in the comments to try spin this negative. A day without doom is like a day without sunshine.

Wow, that is like 3 more than all of New Zealand. 4 is so much bigger than 1. You totally convinced me with that scary number. And it's only like 1,292 less than the US deaths last week. Pretty scary!
