  1. Since June 1 the Personal Data Protection Act has come into effect and that could be used to make anyone posting such images libel for damage caused to persons on video. It could be a slippery slope.
  2. 1. Log on in Thai language screen - have had issues when using English screen at times. Once logged on can go to English. 2. Delete cookies - have no idea how that is done on Firefox. 3. Try different browser.
  3. Yes but unless you have been using best to have a doctor determine what is best for you - you do not have to buy from hospital and doctor consultation is not expensive. Many medications have side effects or limitations on use that we may miss in casual reading on internet. Prescriptions are not part of medical care here. Most drugs can be obtained from pharmacy, but some can only be dispensed by registered pharmacist (and many do not actually have such a person working). A much smaller number of drugs are controlled and only available from hospitals with doctors order.
  4. Banned in USA and much of the world due liver issues - not to be used for more than 15 days where not banned from my reading. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nimesulide
  5. Clinics in hospitals are not doctor specific - the clinics are run by the hospital and will be sorted by medical specialties and there will be a number of doctors available - you can chose the doctor you want or be assigned next available or recommended by previous doctor. Hospital staff run the nursing and administrative functions and the doctors fee will be part of the hospital visit charge.
  6. Medical care is done at hospitals in Thailand so not absurd at all. Normally you are instructed to return to doctor placing stitch's for removal.
  7. 1. Suspect likely to be rejected as it is late. But they might approve with note to do it on time next time. 2. Fine is 2,000 baht if you report yourself - if found out could be up to 5,000 baht. 3. You can go to CW now and no fine as you have up to 7 days after due date to make report in person. I would wait and if no approval by weekend go Monday and make report in person without fine.
  8. Search No Result We're sorry. We cannot find any matches for your search term.
  9. Guess you mean selling as no need for paypal to buy on Ebay. I also dropped PP when they sent that first notice.
  10. I am using income method (USA) so need one year of bank statements. Have to tell them income as normally have money in bank but want option to use for medical emergency in case have to pay first collect insurance later.
  11. Today for 1030 appointment L counter (retirement extension income method). Contact counter 1013 (processing person) Wait until about 1023 Finnish 1038 Receive passport 1115 Paperwork submitted: Passport/bankbook Copies passport/arrival card/bankbook signed Bank letter of account balance Bank one year statement Copy TM30 receipt Copy TM47 receipt 3 signed forms required by CW Edit: Google map of home. Arrived early and obtained bank letter/made copy of last passbook page, obtained extension forms from service desk at immigration and filled out what required - then waited until about 15 mins before extension time (as was required last year). This year no check entering L counter area so early may be OK.
  12. From experience in Bangkok and reading forum for many years suspect that English ability is mostly among doctors. As for alternative for private care if financials are not a concern it may be justified for doctors ability but that will come at a cost of queues and waits and in some cases these waits could be life threatening. In general foreigners can use government hospitals on a pay for service basis (for most things much cheaper than private facilities). As for housekeeping some can be great - other not so much. I do not believe I would use again - but have insurance. That said the larger hospitals should be comfortable enough.
  13. Multiple entry visa entry is not visa exempt entry. Totally different.
  14. No but this forum software lists messages to click on at right side - with no indication of topic/country, We may not even be reading news of the right country with this system.
  15. That is what you do not want - you want to leave without a re-entry to end your current permitted to stay and apply for a new multi entry O visa from what you posted.
  16. I expect ward would be fine with AC and closed windows - it was in Rajavithi Hospital cancer department six years ago when they required you stay preop for several days before major surgery.
  17. You did not arrive on a non immigrant O visa. So you have to obtain that entry before extending with TM7. The Tm87 should have cost 2,000 baht and that will provide a 90 day non immigrant O visa entry. Once that is received and you meet the 2 months in bank for 800k requirement you can extend in a normal TM7 manner at cost of 1,900 baht. You will do that at counter L and you can make online reservation if you want. Oops - missed the 60 day visa bit so that would be an extension at 1900, Sorry for misreading.
  18. Do not believe that is true in the case of Shopee/Lazada - I live in Bangkok and order items from Bangkok often but always have to pay for delivery regardless of item saying free delivery. The only time delivery has been free is when shipper used own fleet (air conditioner delivered last week). As said if you have the time and eyesight it is all in the details. ????
  19. Not very effective in Thailand for most as are there are few doctors with the ability to screen as not common here. Suspect the Thai have it right - keep out of the sun.
  20. As is the skin cancer. "The UV index in Thailand averages a rating between 11–12, which is considered extremely high. " https://www.samitivejhospitals.com/article/detail/uv-index
  21. For the kitchen sink you can buy trap like used on bathroom sink (I hope it is used anyhow) or you can just buy some flexible pipe and make a bend (place to hold water and block smells coming up). Google kitchen sink drain trap. If of below top type may just need cleaning. For shower drain there should be some type installed so maybe just needs cleaning (below top cover). If not a bell type drain trap should be installed. Google bell floor drain.
  22. In the 50 years I have traveled and lived here have not heard of any diplomatic mission recommending clinics for general care. Many are pill centric, unsanitary and not well staffed. That some, mostly private specialized clinics of hospital doctors, are good does not make does not make up for those that are not.
  23. On one BP reading - under stress in a white coat area - pills were dispensed? Poster should have concerns about such an action (and if it were me would invest in a BP monitor and check at home before taking any medication).
  24. In Thailand most doctors work in out patient departments of hospitals rather than in clinics as in USA. Also almost all are specialists (you do not need referral to see them) so you go directly to department that treats your symptoms. Some good doctors also have part time clinics but these are not open most hours and will not have easy access to testing equipment.
