Another factor is home construction and chance of fire - in USA with wood/carpet being normal believe the fire risk is much higher than Thailand where cement block/brick/tile is the norm. In over 50 years have yet to actually see a home fire here in Thailand - yes they have but most often in close wood constructed areas caused by open flame cooking. Overloaded circuit fires seem to happen more often in commercial buildings whose owners are in debt.

Have you checked the wattage of dryer? Obviously it is well beyond that adaptor ability. When we had a real dryer (US 220v) several decades ago it required dedicated line directly wired - they normally use a lot of electric but expect yours is a smaller unit. Would be concerned with heating of electric line and possible fire using both on same line unless has been built for same.

Not sure about need for med certificate for immigration and avoid small clinics like the plague - but most medications are not subject to any prescription in Thailand, although some will require a registered pharmacist to dispense. The few that are actually controlled would require dispensing by a hospital on doctors order.

As said both can be done same time but transfer has to be first and then extension. Both are done at counter L (for retirement). You may want to visit bank to get new passport number on account prior to then (not sure if bank writes PP number on letters?). Not clear in my reading what you want. If you buy over the counter why are you asking to buy from a private hospital at much higher price? If you want a medical certificate written to indicate you take these medications doctor can do that and you can buy anywhere. But if medications are cheap as indicated perhaps you just want one stop shopping? But cheap is often the medications with highest markup from hospitals. Sorry can not be of more help but from my hospital normal markup is about 150 percent but for cheap meds can be much higher. As this will not be a prescription type script not sure how UK would take it.

Wise does not use ACH to send money - they have local accounts at banks in destination country and pay from those. If you select long term stay as reason for transfer it should use account at destination bank (in case of Bangkok Bank that will result is FTT notation on passbook deposit), But better to flag destination account to always use same bank deposit as there have been hiccups with "long term stay" and there is never 100% guarantee. It matters if money is to be used for converting to non immigrant O visa from immigration.

Indeed you are totally wrong - you never want to send baht from USA - only send USD. If you send Baht US banks will use a very, very bad exchange rate. If you send USD Thai bank will provide published rate which will be better. Sending 800k should be done by a Swift international transfer send USD more than the amount to allow for fees as this will insure low cost and recording as overseas transfer. If you are planning on converting to non immigrant O visa in Thailand the money must show as from overseas for the conversion - so best not to use WISE (and for 800k will be cheaper not to do so).
