  1. Sounds harder than a card insert to me (but understand likely easy after doing once or twice) - and might be an option if he has the app - but likely can not get the app without ID and current passport is not listed as account holder (not just K-Bank serious on that rule).
  2. Actually believe using HD tv sets is often a viable option these days (and also cheaper/duel purpose).
  3. The app puts cash in your hand? Some of us actually still use cash for payments. And when paying electronically use a bank card. Phones are for talking to many of us elders. ????‍????
  4. Perhaps a more proactive approach would work - getting village a common bin and funding removal (even if the minority has to pay the majority)? Burning has been the traditional method, not only here but most of the world, so most do not understand they are doing something wrong and putting themselves and other in danger. Believe some effort has been made in this area but as said times are really bad for many and those that have funds are a minority these days.
  5. It is Lenovo IdeaCenter B310 from 2010 with 23" touch screen bought from Lenovo at Fortune Town when first came out. Won't die so can't justify replacement but have changed to corded keyboard and mouse.
  6. That is great if one piece and actually has HDMI output - my Lenovo one piece has no video output of any type. ????
  7. The issue is they are often called doctors (without the MD) - but most people understand doctor as being an MD. ????
  8. Had never had those come up when checking RO units so was not aware of current ability to have such flow. Expect will buy myself at some point. Really do thank you.
  9. And may make him wait for your return with 2 rounds of 9mm.
  10. Indeed those systems are designed to filter about 10x the water per day as my unit - for OP they might be just the ticket as should take care of the space issue and provide water at a usable flow. And cheaper than what he mentioned (which provides no specs yet). Thanks - indeed higher price might be worth it with such output. I still remember the old drip ceramic things we had to use in India 50 years ago which took all night to - maybe - get a couple liters of water. So 50 gal per day seems good to me. Thanks again for the post. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/xiaomi-mijia-500g-ro-reverse-osmosis-i946540599-s1969552313.html
  11. Understand that - some filter to remove chlorine would be logical if not using RO system - not just UV alone.
  12. You could try high contrast mode - that might make it more readable. Believe it is an option even on Windows 7 (which believe you have). I use black background with yellow text on Windows 10 and makes everything much more readable. Not sure if you have enough display remaining but could give it a try. Can switch on/off with push of Alt/Shift/Pt Screen keys at same time. Other than that a new monitor would seem to be best.
  13. It should work for you but would check for cheaper versions - if not using much water might be fine to just buy (although storage might be an issue). We use for coffee/ice maker and water cooler so having storage tank very much wanted as RO direct is just a dribble (even with 3.5 bar pressure) and would take hours to fill up cooler jug. As for safe Bangkok water is drinkable so really more a taste issue (although in condo storage could be a concern). Perhaps a UV system could be more compact and give better flow at less cost? Have not checked but UV can be quite effective.
  14. There is no time requirement for money to have been in account for conversion to single entry 90 day non immigrant O visa entry - but you can not apply for extension of stay for one year until it has been in account 2 months (3 months seems to be asked at several places - which was the old rule). Believe money for conversion must be documented from outside Thailand and not sure if foreign currency accepted.
  15. As you seem to be talking extension of stay for retirement from a non immigrant O visa the rule is 800k in account 2 months prior to application and 3 more months, then not less than 400k until 2 months before next application when must be at 800k again and continue cycle (5/7). Be aware any day it falls below requirements will prevent obtaining next extension so if using foreign currency make very sure it is enough to always meet the 800/400k requirements.
  16. Not that I am aware of - but there are electric/plumbing stores and they often can recommend someone. Also neighbors often can do the same - or if you see work going on ask homeowner for contact details if appears good. Even if buying something in major retail place they can often provide such help.
  17. You are aware that Paypal is no longer an option for many expats living in Thailand? Any Thai registered account now requires a Thai Citizen ID card.
  18. Actually it is very relevant as skin is not just skin and the white skin of some foreigners is about 20x more likely to develop skin cancer than that of a Thai (asia). Take a look at these melanoma charts. https://www.cdc.gov/cancer/uscs/about/data-briefs/no9-melanoma-incidence-mortality-UnitedStates-2012-2016.htm
  19. A 4 stage filter at 4 and 1/2 times the cost of this 6 stage filter? Guess it is all in the name. https://www.google.com/aclk
  20. I suspect some do - but do not believe it is the majority. UK/USA and Europe indeed have tip as basic to a living wage - but that is not the case here (although restaurants have learned to add in many areas - but not always gets to workers even then). Can understand for exceptional service, like MC delivery in the rain and rounding up few baht for taxi as know meters rates have not kept up with time. But in most cases better not to tip unless OK'd by Thai.
  21. You seem to have missed the message - Big Joke is (again) senior police and the information is being provided to him to take action on in the envelope.
  22. Totally disagree. Unless your most people is foreigners.
  23. I do not use Grab food delivery - I use Tops Supermarket delivery who contract with Grab. And no we do not tip delivery drivers. Nor do anyone else we know.
