Didn't go back home for years prior to a while ago, decided to fly Business class round way was around 3K to Europe with Emirates. Showers in the lounges too, great champagne and food. Even a bar on the airplane both times (A380) + unlimited Internet. Arriving well rested and fresh, without needing to deal at all with all the 'cows' pushing themselves in lines as they think they might not have a seat on the airplane they hold a boarding pass for.. In Emirates with Business you also get to board directly from the Biz lounge in Dubai. If needing to fly economy, simply pay for the airport lounges at least, makes a big difference. I always get a windows seat in that case too and ask for a extra pillow from the stewardess + knock down 2 sleeping pills.

Yeah right that's why it is well known that most aussie pension retirees live on scraps... OR it is right away a <deleted> load.

You can buy them for that budget anywhere in the world if ordering online.. Likely even less if you really wanted to. Thais think we are stupid and still live in 2010 before there was such options and knowledge about real costs in China. Dunning_kruger effect. I still don't get it to why I can get a coffee in my hometown for the same as in Bangkok average, while in my home town people actually get real wages and a pension, the place looks top notch and the owner turns profits too.

Nothing has changed over the average of 3-5 years at all, it is even higher than it has been. However the real issue is that Thailand in general just became over priced on almost every end, specially if you compare it to the exact same in Vietnam, which is likely even better in terms of service, quality etc. You are right too in terms of a lot of things nearly costing the same as back home in many cities and places. The prices I pay in Bangkok are the same as in smaller cities in Europe too. Even rent might be the only thing left that is significantly cheaper, once having kids, that is off set by cost of school already (or the girlfriend you need to support). Imagine then they they actually want to tax us on top of this.. There is just no way on earth that is going to happen! P.S. For Vietnam in terms of exchange rates you are spot on too, it only increased over the past 1 year. Same most currencies. It just tells you so much, if you can see what Vietnam offers, FX rates, how much they invest, grow and develop, to know TH is playing games. Been saying all this for the past 4-5 years on this forum and laughed at, it all came out so far to be true once again. Last but not least the only thing Thailand really had VS others was the nightlife and girls, that also kind of died + huge inflation. Oh yeah and the street food but also removed + expensive + small portions. They became arrogant when things were at the peak in 2016 and that likely cost them money for life.

Short changed: Bolt rider stunned by unexpected 2 baht fare
ChaiyaTH replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Complete misinformation and typical Thai drama. The customer user his points or discount codes, which would result in sometimes nothing or a tiny amount to pay yourself. Most do this automatic and by card, in this case it was cash. An entire news story about absolutely nothing. -
Neither, it is just a normal result of smoking weed if the person already has paranoia issues. Not believe me? Try smoking when you are. They should have given her some apple juice and a snicker + leave her alone. I have had countless paranoia modes while being high on weed, when weed was still illegal in TH.

Can't really get bothered eating out often anymore as the quality, quantity, services and prices not match. If I do eat out it is usually one of the better places as well, 2-4 times a month. It saves time as well to not have to go out or order all the time, deal with grab drivers that can't read a basic map or drive straight past you even you are the only one in the street at 9:30PM, waving your phone. In Vietnam it is actually like being back in older Thailand, great fun to just be outside all day and eat/drink everywhere. Anyway, I usually just pay and leave if the food not arrived well, as I know it can't be trusted for a second chance in those cases too or tastes bad. I also notice that the few times I do eat at a cheaper place or Thai food place, it right away has impact on what comes out the next day on the toilet. Can't imagine that is good long run, it needs to be a strong and solid one. But just as much in Vietnam on that end.

Has my sex tourist friend found a loop hole?
ChaiyaTH replied to AustinRacing's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
What a load of BS, it is one of the cheapest and most dull red light areas in Thailand after CR or some other city in Isaan. It's hard to even get going with spending money there, all you find is overweight and 30-40+ girls. -
Thai Police Bust Multi-Million Baht Sex Toy Smuggling Ring
ChaiyaTH replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Massive? Barely 3000 sex toys in a country this size is like barely enough to supply for 15 days. Not joking. Likely even less. That's like 200 orders per day as a wholesaler in toys on many millions. They sell 5x in western countries with less people.- 133 replies

Not heard anyone having issues since it are 60 days, same with doing extensions. The process itself is faster too than it used to be, seems they care less. The lady ones in BKK airports did seem tougher the last time I was there 2 months ago or so, I avoided it by going to a guy and that was 30 seconds.

You speak nonsense on almost anything you reply on here since years so kind of pointless to reply but in short; there is very very few intelligent Thais around and those also earn western wages or more on average. That doesn't change the actual reality that impacts daily life, the majority of population aka the facts and reality as it is, as i described. The average grab driver can't even properly read maps or house numbers, if that doesn't tell you enough i doubt you ever wake up.

Thai visa shake-up: Southeast Asia consulates switch to e-visa only
ChaiyaTH replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I'm personally already tired now knowing it will be unclear again what they need, to then end up waiting days with emails back and forward, to upload and deliver new proof that might satisfy them. I mean imagine that the same slow Thais now suddenly will need to deal with hunderds of emails per day, rather than checking papers quick and turning you down. Will let it play out same as the overseas taxes and just keep doing 60 on arrival + 30 days for a while. Unless it becomes easy and clear to get this DTV visa, I do have the 500K baht. -
Thai visa shake-up: Southeast Asia consulates switch to e-visa only
ChaiyaTH replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
They already do that in Chiang Mai for tourist extensions, I had 2 of them so far. Only still need to show up to take the webcam photo and give them the pre-filled paperwork (even they are the ones who filled that out digitally for you, so god only knows why that is needed). Anyway 10 mins in and out, 500 baht extra though. They are small shiny stickers with a QR code in it, 1/4 of a page. -

Use the brains just a tiny tiny bit and you would know that could mean showing proof e.g. visa stamps, hotel booking etc etc. -
Bought a panini machine on lazada for like 1k baht, really worth it if you buy some read bread, cheese and ham yourself. Don't forget the ketchup. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/panini-electric-automatic-breakfas-non-stick-2000w-i4485564779-s18143234183.html

Yeah specially knowing the education here is just nonsense and there is no skilled workers, or even people who just do their jobs good if they are low end. If they did their jobs at the most best, and had the most competitive prices, this guy would never have been there doing it. It's super silly how they keep being ignorant, until it will be too late, and then they allow it when few are still interested.

Yeah and after you miss your first shot a first monkey jumps you, you then drop it, the other monkey now grabs the sling slot and reloads, BAMM.

Heavy rainfall expected tomorrow in 27 provinces, warnings issued
ChaiyaTH replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Never seen that many cloudy + rainy duration days and season in 12+ years here up north. Almost depressing at this stage. At least in BKK it usually just comes in hard and then is gone again, to repeat that 2-3 times a day. Makes the place even less interesting assuming this is likely going to happen more in the coming years. Knowing that the super hot months following by a burning season already ruin many months of the year too. -

Maybe central festival still does that, not sure about that but remember it used to be possible to go there yourself for 500 too. -
Imagine having such a little life that you are constantly busy with the miniscule differences of protein and fat or others... Just use common sense and eat diverse.
