I would not even consider Isaan itself for a second, my wife not either, even she is from there. Just family visits and no more. We did try various places from the north to the south in the recent years, helped to escape during covid too and have beach life for a year or so, my son is now going to school soon so we decided for once and all to move back to Chiang Mai, truck comes next week.

Why did you not just show up with 1 or both of your kids once, they speak fluent Thai right, pretty sure after that introduction takes place once the old lady from hell would have little to mess around with anytime in the future. Bit too late for that now though. She is evil, i guess so. She is wrong, I think so. But sometimes you have to be wiser and just solve the issue in the way possible, I would have tried the above and if no success use an agent or do visa extensions elsewhere. Who cares about the rental contract anyway, you could make one yourself even.

Thanks for the info, I was considering only to go there as of the multiple entry, else a big hassle. I will just fly to Hanoi next time I need a non-o visa again in the future. Direct flight from CM or BKK, nice food and drinks, plenty to do and consulate usually just 10 people or something, when I went there the past 3 times. Visa cost comes down to same Laos too.

Electric shaver and clothing becomes very specific, if you would just stick to a normal shaving item and clothing means t-shirts / boxers, you could get all from a 7/11, they have those black and white t-shirts etc too via Grab delivery app. Still tricky, often they can't find the item and then text you in Thai language etc. Think it's easier to find a freelance girl and instead of sex let her go shopping for you lol.

Brilliant plan, make it half illegal again, then all the weed will be grown and sold in the black market regardless. That is such a smart idea, then we can not control it at all, not tax it at all, not generate legitimate jobs etc etc etc. - Weed is gonna stay, it always was here anyway. I actually already buy from a Thai guy direct since a while, as it's half the price of shops.

500K fine and a suspended jailtime aside of having to show up at court is normal practice.

Beware of purchasing big ticket items on Lazada
ChaiyaTH replied to spidermike007's topic in IT and Computers
Another nonsense topic starter whining about Lazada while it could have happened with any offline shop or other platform / private seller too. Can be about the quality of the product in the first place, can be about just having bad luck with a product and so on and on. Beware of absolutely nothing except a chance to be influenced with subjective opinions of members here. -
Even now those protestors got their own elected party, most of these young gen demands are still fantasy anyway. They all think to get minimum wage to 700 baht right away too, some even say 1000 baht. Yet they work just as slow as always, nothing from their side improved. Imagine for some crazy reason they actually do make it happen, it would make Thailand even more expensive than it already is today (near being over priced for many things). Personally I do not care that much at all, I do know that it was very stable and calm here in general, under the army. That is good if wanting to attract business too.

Another coffee shop near my hotel bites the dust.
ChaiyaTH replied to steven100's topic in General Topics
Sure but even then, it is still more than perfectly doable to sell it for 80-100 baht. I consider that a normal price when I have to visit Bangkok, you simply pay a bit more for everything if not wanting to waste 20 minutes time, going to a cheaper place. If people think that is too much, they should consider moving to another city I guess. 3000 baht a month for a good coffee daily is normal to me in BKK, in Chiang Mai i get 2 for this hehe. -
Traffic Ticket - can it be brought to court?
ChaiyaTH replied to Tom Vanderlay's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
LOL talking about court when it is about 500 baht fine, who cares, pay and move on. Waste of data this. -
They usually do not do further updates, few is reported of what happens. What happens usually comes from the FB pages of the monk and rescue foundation, which is a fraction of all accidents and things happening.

People die like weekly on phangan, it is funny how it is always about ko tao. But always hard to claim or prove foul play with the drugs used combined with alcohol and water near by, if that is the case at all for this one of course.

No benefit for your body, but we are talking about taste. -
Another coffee shop near my hotel bites the dust.
ChaiyaTH replied to steven100's topic in General Topics
I am a big coffee drinker and there is plenty of places up north, where you get fresh roasted quality beans (multiple options) and in my case a hot latte for that from 45 baht. 9/10 expensive places, the taste does not even come close to their coffee. For the more exotic imported ones, specially arabica, they charge at most 75 baht a cup, still super reasonable. Maybe the difference is that they also own a farm, have a cheap shop house, and run it as a couple without additional staff. And they smile too, speak english. In south europe also plenty of good coffee for a cheap price, so that is a nonsense argument. The >100B is just some ''i drink coffee in 5 star hotel rooftop bars'' or I live in New York crap. The problem in Thailand, in my opinion, with quality is mainly because most businesses are owned by those who have most of the money, to then hire cheap staff and have zero passion or interest in their businesses or customers visiting the branch or branches. They just launch 10-20 shops, if 3 make good money the rest can close over time. They really don't care at all about doing it to actually give high quality products and service. Few at least. -
That's like basically daily in Bangkok. Irony is you never hear anyone complain much there.

Legal obstacles await leader of victorious Move Forward party
ChaiyaTH replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
As long we can keep buying and smoking weed, I'm fine with any of them. It was pretty relaxed under Prayut too, before you know we would get legal mushrooms next with Anutin lol. -
The difference is that they can rent it out.

Are there therapists for depression here?
ChaiyaTH replied to sotonfarang's topic in Health and Medicine
Unlike many people, I would suggest to first do a generic health check and see how much the person does in sports, how much on the phone and what the diet is.
