  1. Guess your new to Thailand, its all about the money and not the logic. Get street smart or pay are the only options.
  2. Well I have good hope on Duerte resigning and the former boxer running the show, maybe it finally becomes their time to shine. Also love the 35 year old retirement options in PH.
  3. Let's be happy that criminals like this aren't the brightest tools in the shed. Keeping to drive the same bike and then park it in soi nana bangkok LOL. He might as well drive straight to the police station.
  4. I doubt we will be all on electric in 3 years, doubt he will be sitting here longer. But yeah, the last time he drove in Thailand.
  5. You are worried about child support and think Thailand is cheap for a child? You are about to be in for a shock, your least worry is child support and instead should be with education cost alone. And if you wanna be cheap on your own child, refrain from taking one in the first place. A child here will easily cost you 600 USD monthly if doing things a bit proper on the mid end. That is still excluding all other things as smartphones, sports, holidays and more (or university). Buying diapers and milk etc smart on bulk via Lazada is easily 5000 baht alone already, then the regular hospital visits and vaccines etc kick in 2500-5000 baht a time too, then clothes, baby material itself and school did not even start at this stage. A bit better than public schools: 15K a month too excluding transport, food, clothes and everything else. And this is the cheap mid end.
  6. It is a flop already as airlines need up to 3 months, businesses need confidence and reopening, advertising need to be done. People plan this stuff way upfront in general already, let alone today. I mean, the curfew is not even gone yet for the general public, nonsense to even discuss all of this until it's like august next year. Anyway, like the guys efforts but he shaves 12.5K profits of his bosses.
  7. I moved houses because a neighbor cooking for grab orders with that up north.
  8. Well they have nothing to complain in that case, farmers break their backs for that amount as well the factory workers. Next.
  9. Ok so to be more specific, a close friend as well his wife and kid, and they are still hospitalized, guess that is funny or something. But I guess in your case classical cognitive dissonance.
  10. I guess I am F'ed up then at age 30, knew that for a few years by now. Certainly nothing new in Thailand anymore. Most times I end up talking to strangers, they can't even let someone finish a sentence or have a proper debate when it comes to anything interesting. Or otherwise it are these weirdo teachers who think they are half gods (i guess the pretty students boost their ego, even they hate em as much) or retirees who have seen it all, but actually do nothing much either. But never would my reason to not speak to a farang be because he might ask me money or whatever, in those cases you usually even see it upfront, at least I do. And the answer is No too, might toss him/her 100-300 baht just because I don't like money.
  11. What a surprise if you take away income and the possibility to have drinks, people go to alternatives more and could stay hooked.
  12. Hehe yeah the only true spa experience would be infrared or turkish steam, the rest are handjobs and torture.
  13. Which also must be the only reason he is released right away in Denmark, instead of having to sit out the remaining time back home. I believe his story right away as drugs is sold anywhere and everywhere in Cambodia, this doesn't make any sense aside of being a setup.
  14. Wonder how that will work out with the most common side effects from vaxx, heart problems. Anyway, 2 people per hour, and we are still in a curfew at 8-9PM.
  15. Got a friend who felt forced and got double vaxxed in Europe, returned just a month after Phuket sandbox and is now in a BKK hospital with covid. So much for the brilliant experimental vaccines.
  16. Have to be honest, at 650B a night and basically being free to roam and drink in Phuket, is not really a pain to do at all. Still would be the 3x 3000 baht for tests aside of paperwork and insurance costs then, better than nothing at all for longstayers but doubt tourists like it. 10-15K baht extra cost might not sound like a lot but for most young and new travelers that is the difference to fly for a bit more to Mexico etc from Europe too. I personally picked Asia at the time just because tickets saved me that 300 euro more (aside of fear testing positive and then being locked up or having even more costs and no holiday left, doubt this attracts backpackers or fearful elderly couples that never went here before - let alone families).
  17. Who would have ever believed it when you said ''Its easier to get drunk in Kuala Lumpur than Pattaya''
  18. Depends how good the waitress looks, otherwise I do not really tip for other things in Thailand. Let's say up to 10% of the bill usually (so only bars, restaurants if nice waitresses).
  19. ''In all public hospitals'' - helping basically nobody of us as we use (semi) private mostly.
  20. Yeah while for a bit of drugs they remain jailed decades. I notice a lot of murderers get out early in TH to only do it again.
  21. I had big bills that I can't explain lately and today my empty neighbor house bill came which usually is 40-50B for his watering devices of plants and this month 80B... He hasn't been here so that makes it very weird. What I did figure out is that prices did jump regardless since end 2019 I believe, but that should not suddenly have impact today. It is the only bill I hate in TH as I am always surprised over and over again how it sometimes reaches highs or lows.
  22. Better be careful using that website, it does not even use SSL but does process sensitive information over forms, insanity. Other than that, as far I seen from a Thai his QR is that it only shows a unique certificate number and the doses and dates, not a persons name. In theory that means anyone could use any QR without them knowing.
  23. Bumingrud hospital also sells Moderna for 1650 baht via Grab advertisements, the question is if we ever get it (in time) to keep freedom too. Not buying it.
  24. Life seems very nice with you. Don't be surprised your kid will do all of it just because you said no lol.
