Thai PM accuses Israeli employers of exploiting Thai workers amidst crisis
Kind of like 'contracts' Thai women sign to go work as house maids, but end up working in a brothel. Though I haven't seen the Thai farm workers' contracts, I suspect part of the contract is that they would be paid. Not paying them is reneging on the contract.

Were you ever (or never) swoon worthy beautiful at any point in your life? (All genders)
Lovely woman. Enjoy your life together.

Were you ever (or never) swoon worthy beautiful at any point in your life? (All genders)
I must be swoonworthy, as just the other day I was walking past a massage parlor, and someone yelled out to me: "Ooooh, you so han sum ! I want to have your baby !" The compliment was only slightly diminished due to the caller being a ladyboy. It's the thought that counts.

Do you look older than your age?
My GF is 21, and she looks two decades younger than me. Does that count?

Do you look older than your age?
You note 6 things, and I'm batting .333 on your list. Former case officer....and I can make my pecs bounce one at a time or both at the same time. When I get cold, sometimes they bounce on their own. Scares the bejesus out of people, as they think it's either a heart attack or I'm auditioning for Aliens 4 and a monster is about to pop out of my chest. It's just way too many push-ups, bench presses and genetics. (Apparently, the more muscles one can control voluntarily---like wiggling ears, flaring nostrils---or in my case bouncing pecs, means one can develop them more. Great dancers and athletes can control a good many of their muscles, due to extensive innervation, which equates to coordination.) As for old looking....I'm probably not like all the other posters here, as it seems everyone looks two decades younger than they are. I can't beat that. Then again, I don't have cataracts, but I suspect many of these guys who 'look' so much younger do have them. If guys are not lifting weights, I guarantee they don't look as young as they think they do. Walking or bicycling---especially in the sun---isn't going to do it. Lack of muscular definition equates to looking older. Rounded shoulders, a slight paunch, turkey gobbler neck...weight training can hold all of that off, but not just cardio. Also, lifting heavy weights for a few reps gets the body to produce both testosterone and HGH, both of which do many things, including making the skin more supple and not look dried out.

New livery for THAI stewardesses
Boomers are the last generation with a libido. Subsequent generations are afraid of actual direct and physical contact, preferring instead to message people who aren't there, send selfies or photos of their meal, or make TikTok videos with them trying to dance or make cutesy faces. Boomers' "LIKES" come in the form of their partner enjoying an orgasm, while subsequent generations live for "LIKES" on the breakfast photos or selfies where they pretend they're actually living life.

Thailand’s economy needs a major boost : PM
I never miss an opportunity to educate the uninformed, even if they're trolling, because despite their claims of trolling, I know they still live in a fantasy world made up by their messiah. I consider it a public service, or almost a Kipling-esque sort of burden.

Thailand’s economy needs a major boost : PM
Since you used this to take a silly shot at the people who believe in democracy and capitalism, I will remind you of that pesky little thing called Reality. Perhaps Thailand should study the success the Democrats have brought to the US, since both the economy and stock market perform better under Democrats. There has not been a single Republican administration ever that has not presided over the start of a Recession...and that despite the massive deficits Republicans tend to run up. Thailand's 'growth' over the last ten years is like typical Republican fantasy: low growth only achieved by massive debt. In other words, zero organic growth, only debt fueled growth. trump is the latest example: the worst GDP change of any POTUS since Herbert Hoover and the only POTUS since Hoover to leave office with fewer Americans employed than when he took office (after Obama saved the us and world from the subprime disaster). And how did trump achieve that below mediocre record? He ran up a new $7,800,000,000,000 debt, or $24,000 for every man, woman and child in the US. <----Is what caused the inflation Biden and the Fed are now getting under control. Repubs will try to argue "Yes, but Covid". Well, the bloated orange traitor took office in Jan 2017. Covid first hit the US noticeably in March 2020, and the first funding allocated to address it was not until April 2020, 3 years and 3 months into the 4 year trump American Carnage. Just like in his business---6 bankruptcies, inheritance of over $500 million from Dad, plus Dad co-signed every trump loan until the day Dad died---trump is an economic nightmare. Indeed, the Thai PM should study both the successful Democrats and the failure that is trump. Lessons to be learned from both. Michael Cohen says he inflated assets to ‘whatever number Trump told us to’
His comeuppance could be so potentially severe that he will welcome the safely of a jail cell. Most of his recent financing came via SIVs from Deutsch Bank. SIVs are "Special Investment Vehicles" and are off balance sheet. Parties with cash are one side, a borrower is the other, with DB taking a fee for setting up the SIV. For trump the parties with funds are russian oligarchs. donny, jr and eric made comments stating this in the past, as in "We get all the funding we need from russia". If trump loses his NY properties, he's going to have a lot of trouble repaying his SIV borrowings. The folks whose money he will not be able to repay are not kind and gentle sorts. They will peel his skin off just as a warm-up. Leavenworth for his classified doc felonies will be looking like a nice safehaven. "Please, your honor; I'm guilty as sin. Jail me. NOW!"

A degree in Whataboutism from trump U? On HRC's server she had docs classifed CONFIDENTIAL and one or two SECRET. trump stole docs with much higher classifications, including TS/SCI, Codeword, SAP, HCS and RD. HUGE difference. Nothing HRC had in any way could jeopardize national security, whereas everything trump stole seems to have been specifically chosen because of its importance in matters of national security. trump also liked about returning docs, and as we are now learning, he shared highly senstive intel on US nuclear sub capabilities with a mar-a-lago member, who subsequently has told 45 people. Intel officers from hostile nations---like China's MSS---are members of mar-a-lago. I suspect any intel chief would approve the $200K membership fee for any case officer who wanted to join the club, knowing how careless, cavalier and dishonest trump is. I wonder why a country club owner and wedding planner needed such documents. HCS? Even as POTUS he should not have those, but I suspect one of the lackeys he appointed as DNI (Grenell or Ratcliffe) gave him those. As for declassification---2 points---1) there is a set procedure and paper trail for declassification. trump did not do it, so he lied when one of his early excuses was "I declassified everything with my mind", and 2) not even a POTUS can declassify RD; only Dept of Energy.

Part of the 'injury' is opportunity cost. trump's rate of interest should have been higher, since his assets were not worth what the bank utilized when setting his i rate. Same with insurers; their premium demand should have been higher. The income would have been higher. That is the 'injury'.

Having worked in major banks and major investment firms, I think you are painting far too bright a picture of how banks operate and assess loan applications. Perhaps you've heard of the subprime crisis that blew up in 2008? Certainly banks absolutely did not, and do not, get accurate appraisals as well as do thorough vetting of the borrowers ability to repay. If they did, Lehman, Countrywide, Bear Stearns, IndyMac, Wachovia and other financial institutions, or insurers like AMBAC wouldn't have gone belly up. Also, appraisal firms are not exactly always accurate nor honest. "What do you need it to be worth?" is part of many appraisal firms arsenal. Same with Rating Agencies like S&P or Moodys. Incentives like bonuses tend to affect loan applications and appraisals. Finally, in a loan application the potential borrower attests to the accuracy of statements 'to the best of his knowledge'. trump certainly knew the apartment he lived in was not 33,000 sf, but rather 10,997. He signed documents, however, claiming the inflated size, and hence value. Thus: Fraud

Dan discusses his Pattaya Bargirl relationship and advises others to not do the same.
Are you this "Dan" guy? You seem quite invested in this thread, which makes me wonder if you are really Dan. As for your the subject, I am always a bit confused when it comes to sexual morality. Maybe when I'm older I'll be more clear. According to some---and I think you---it is immoral for a woman to be paid for sex, but absolutely okay if she has sex because she's horny. The goodness of one vs the other escapes me. Secondly, a guy who pays for it is a loser, but a guy who sleeps around---often giving women a false impression of genuine affection---is something between a stud muffin and the second coming of the messiah. Apparently we should all applaud him because "he's getting it for free". The "free" part is also a bit confusing. A guy whose real intent is just to bed a woman might take her to a fancy dinner on his dime, using the meal as the beginning act of seduction. He's paying, but just rationalizing. If he simply picks up a woman in a club and goes to his hotel or condo, or even a short time hotel, then he really isn't much of a stud because he is probably her thousandth partner. If he picks up a very inexperienced woman, seduces and beds her, then I suspect he has created a false impression in her that he's serious. Those three have precious little moral difference. Though I admit to having a degree of moral confusion, I think even a genuine stud---the kind of guy who can easily attract a carnal partner---takes a more moral high road if he pays a woman who knows it's merely a business transaction, rather than dally with a woman to whom he might be giving false hopes of a serious relationship. Let me add...if the 'good' woman is well aware it's just a one night stand and no money changes hands, how is she morally superior to the woman who does it to earn a living or even support her family? Since you claim seem to be an expert on all matters sexual, perhaps you can enlighten your audience.

The Gaza diplomacy of Biden, Sunak and co seems to be heading for failure
I'll see your "yawn" and raise you one.... In approximately 5000 comments in several threads of this issue, has a single mind been changed or a single life been saved? You and others argue that 'somebody's' actions caused the Israeli response; in other words, your foist blame and a 'well, if Hamas hadn't, etc.' Thus, I blame Germany. If the Nazis hadn't...if Hamas hadn't....both now history.
-
The Gaza diplomacy of Biden, Sunak and co seems to be heading for failure
No minds are going to be changed on this issue, so how about considering this: Had there been no Nazi Germany and no Holocaust, would there be a Middle East problem now? Is it possible there would not have been the determination to find a safe place for the Jewish people? Was pre-Holocaust Zionism so strong that it would have resulted in an "Israel" absent Hitler? Go one step farther back and ask, if there had not been the demand for reparations after WWI, which eventually led to Weimar hyperinflation, and which set the stage for a demagogue like Hitler to come along, would WWII AND the Middle East problem have come about?

The Gaza diplomacy of Biden, Sunak and co seems to be heading for failure
Nonsense. What would your messiah trump do? No doubt toss rolls of paper towels. Or maybe pressure Netanyahu to offer up some dirt on Biden in exchange for aid.

Thailand Forges Alliance With 8 Prominent Chinese Partners, Stresses ’China-Thailand Are Siblings’
We're siblings. We were the first country outside of China to import your Covid virus, and we've kept its memory alive by many still donning masks all the time. That has to mean something.

Do you think (most) financially struggling western retirees are stupid for not retiring abroad?
Part of the reason is the US is a large, and a relatively isolated nation, compared to Europe. A person who lives in a place like Nebraska needs to travel almost 1200 km just to hit a border, whereas someone in Paris who travels 1200 km could be in 17 different countries. Just to get from East or West coast in the US to Asia or Europe requires 6-10 hours of flying, plus cost. How many europeans, even those with passports, do 6-10 hour flights? Brits go from the UK to Spain or France for maybe 30 quid on Ryan Air, which is like going from eastern Nebraska to western Nebraska.

Most People Favour Closing Night Venues At 2 A.M.: NIDA Poll
I doubt it would result in more income. More revenue, maybe, but income, no. Perhaps one or two places per "Entertainment Zone" could squeeze a profit, but most places---when considering staff costs, electricity, etc.---would not see income. Not enough revelers. Besides, young people don't have any money nowadays---or so they complain---so it's pointless for a business to stay open just so skint customers can rave. That would be charity, not business. Finally, if young men lack so much game that they can't score a tryst for the night by 2 am, and in Thailand, they ought to learn the art of seduction. Those Millennial Incels are pathetic. (joking....kind of)

Why do you want to live so long?
Mick Jagger is 80. He's still prancing on the stage, still making babies, and undoubtedly still enjoying his half billion dollars. I think he still has many reasons to want to live.

Why do you want to live so long?
Thank you for your "generous and kind" thoughts. Most people are not disabled. They're just lazy, or lack the discipline to avoid their vices.. That you are not the norm can engender some sympathy and understanding, but folks who beef and moan about their aches and pains, yet take no responsibility to improve their lifestyle, have no one to blame but themselves. Most people can enjoy a much longer healthspan if they make the effort to improve their lifestyle. Yes, some people will suffer as you have, but for the majority who do not, their belly and their health are up to them.
