You are right the abuse of section 112 is always a big threat for Thai and all other nationalities...people are disappearing, or jailed for an outdated law that is used to silence the oppositions.

All laws should be reviewed and the alcohol sales hours, the extreme tax on imported alcohol should be banned too.. They want to stimulate the economy, but they withhold it with the outdated laws and the so called protecting of the Thai people, instead of let them have freedom to invent and give possibilities.

The whole community is built on money money and money.... Nothing is more important.. and for the 10k handout is already proven that it is a disaster.. people buy alcohol, spend it on wrong things and are even assaulted for it.. It would be better as I wrote many times get them 20 vouchers of 500 THB printed with the id card of the owner able to spend all over Thailand, but not for alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, and lottery.. The first handout is made but I am wondering how many lottery tickets are bought now for today.... The handout is already a disaster and the economy will get no benefit of it at all

It is easy to blame a storm for the failing management of the past years....Of course a storm will damage properties, but what is ever done to keep the impact low.. Never built a dike to prevent floods, never cleaned canals and waterways, they sell lands to built houses near rivers, concrete every where the water cant go any where and many more, while climate change is already going on for years, but there are no plans in Thailand... only try to solve problems as they occur instead of preventing them

The kids are being hit by everybody... I see parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, older brothers and sisters, teachers, monks hit kids for minor offences... Once a mother hit a toddler because she was sitting in a shopping cart and wanted a donut from Mr Donut. The mother hit the kid because she wanted and pointed and cried for one... And in an other place we were having lunch a kid in a corner cried. the kid was barely 2 years old and a grand father hit it with a stick several times because the kid cried. When I wanted to grab the stick and hit the grandfather with it as I was so angry to see it, my partner told me not to interfere because it was normal in Thailand.....And years later when I was in school teaching a classroom Thai teacher hit a student with with a stick, and than I took the stick out of her hands and broke it, as in my class no students are being hit.... It was a real issue even had to report by the director... And still I have seen many times in other schools too that kids are being hit for nothing and not just a small tick but really they hit that the kid flies up... And everybody tells me the same.. It is normal in Thailand.... No law can end this

Evry year a one time handout of 10k??? Raie the salaries to a decent level of 600 THB a day or even better change from day wages to monthly salaries.... 15K a month for a 6 day working week all extra days off included... That is 500 a day for a full month.No matter how days off there are and working hours not more than 8 day. Far better than old fashion day wages.. And people can work on a daily base or parttime.. That is what in they do in the Western world too...There will be no problems..but keeping the people here poor is much worse by extra days off that don't need to be off ( substitute days)

A poor woman .... what can she do with a one time 10k handout??? It is just a drop there is more needed for every day every year.. When does the Government and businesses with the ultra rich get that?? This kind of stories is only to give a good feeling and show how good this Government is, but the reality for them is different

Indeed... but the orders and things contracts must be paid.. with less THB for a USD will mean you have to pay more USD for the same product ..and that means more income for Thailand on the short term.. but by being expensive I am wondering if they will get many new orders..And it will also affect tourism.. Thailand is getting too expensive again, but the Government doesn't seems to understand.

It is not strange.. The Government doesn't want to loose face and the Digital Wallet shall be a success, However the success of the boost of the economy has another reason than the Digital Wallet, but that will be underestimated... Besides that the very expensive THB will bring more THB in Thailand as everything is more expensive for foreign currencies.. The result is that it seems that the economy is growing because there is more money coming in, but that is only because of the expensive THB... How many (new) orders are there for next year not the THB is so expensibve? No wonder the Government pretend to be worried and ask the bank to do something, but you will see that the figures will be looking better because of this Government, but it is all fake

Unbelievable... Now the same sex marriage Law is signed the Government will use the revenues of it to show how successful the Digital Wallet Scheme is. But in fact the many upcoming Marriages will boost the economy....... In other countries where the same sex marriages are possible it is proven how much they contribute to the economy

Don't stimulate the economy by higher wages... the 10K wallet is much better... that is 30 THB a day for 1 year.....Good movements keep the people poor

How dare they to each some other religion as Thai Buddhism is not real Buddhism but a mix of all mind of religions... Real Buddhism doesn't exist in Thailand...Buddhists monks are not allowed to gamble, smoke, drink alcohol, have sex, and don't need money as they do here in Thailand

Thoughtfulness in Thailand... They are so aware what they are doing... On the roads many times you see signs with distances that are mixed up... or useless signs or no signs at all... All to make the roads safer ...
