  1. Again it shows the big need there is for same sex couples to get a legal relationship. But the Thai Government promise it every time but will delay again and again too.. In the countries that have the samesex marriage the economy got a boost, but Thailand is too busy with an outdated law, instead of its people
  2. With the looming political unrest it will soon be different
  3. WE have been a member of an expat club too, but we quit this year after 3 years membership. Reason is simple.. but too far from our home and the activities are more for the elite class than for common people. Besides that as we have drive 60 km to the activity and 60 km back in the dark I can't drink alcohol as in Thailand you never know what to expect on the road and as a foreigner with alcohol there are more problems.. So for us it has no value...Although we liked it somehow, but because we were almost never at the activities, we didn't get to know a lot of people and so we felt a bit lonely..Anyway we will see... living in our place is good too I don't need expats
  4. RIP to the boy... lives in Thailand are priceless..5k compensation. Sadly enough it is not a complete story, a teacher is not a medic and we don't know what really happened.
  5. Now honking is also a violation of section 112. I am wondering what the threat was... A pity they overreact on this incident. It seems a big crime, why not hold it small? Overreaction as this can have serious consequences in the future.
  6. TAT and the numbers always a party... 13,3 percent more Chinese tourists compared to when?? last week?
  7. How can expect else in a country that has no progress but only keep outdated laws and rules, culture etc instead of updating them and enter the 21st century. Labour law should be reviewed, investors laws dito, double pricing should be abolshed and so many more... Keep the country at peace instead of focus on 1 topic that has no influence for the rest of the country.
  8. Get arrest warrents now too for these VIP disrupting a concert....
  9. He has the intention.... but that is nothing and how long will the full term longs?? With the stricter enforcements of section 112, the urge to wear special colors on weekdays, the Thaksin saga and the 10 k wallet scheme and surely not least maybe the dissolving of the MFP and lifetime ban for 44 MP's I foresee a short term. It is always the last drop that........ and we a very near to it
  10. and the two other days after Songkran why not make them holidays too?? Thailand is the hub of holidays
  11. Shame Thailand... protestors get more punishments than this guy....Not even 1 day in jail and no action because he violated section 112 too. Where is justice ???
  12. What a rubbish.. The Government is proud to support the Gay Marriage, but that is all, The will not make the law as again there are delays for committees.. talking is all there is to save face, but the reality is different. And citizens equal?? Why do foreigners have to pay more for some attractions? Why is there double pricing? Why are normal people in jail, and Mr Thaksin not? Why can he say and do as he likes even with violating section 112...?? Why are people who protest being followed, are accused of everything, while coupmakers have thrown over an elected Government without any punishments?? Talking indeed, but no equality only for the rich and famous, but not ordinary people and foreigners
  13. Huh??? 80 km in the city?? and on the crowded roads you hardly move forward...Any way amazing Thailand again
  14. There are no traffic rules in Thailand as you know.. Everybody does as she/he likes... Never drove on a Thai road? Why are there so many traffic deaths here? Problem is that the rules seems to be for the foreigners only ...
  15. After vaping unicycles forbidden in Thailand?? The claim very dangerous??? but at least the men are wearing helmets, as a lot of motorcycles never do while speeding. Another softpower to promote Thaiand?
  16. Measures to manipulate the THB? the THB is weaking so raise the demand and it looks stronger
  17. waaw... amazing as the holidays for the Chinese just started and now the see between 4000 and 5000 Chinese tourists a day.. They even can't count the numbers exactly but they know already how they will spend/earn from them...
  18. Why are so many people falling from balconies in Pattaya???
  19. The witchhunt of section 112 will cost much more than the dissolution of MFP. The law is too strict and nothing can't be done or said anymore, as almost everything is section 112. No wonder people will get more against it..Dissolution of MFP will do more harm than good
  20. Totally correct all the coup makers should be arrested too and in public beheaded.... but the army have made a constitution that protect them from everything and amendment are almost impossible to make. Thaksin came home like a hero, no prison, but fake illness to spend in hospital and now free waiting for his parole.. Re arrested?? Impossible
  21. Parental love maybe... and the soldier the love of her life... What a country that people can think like this
  22. Thailand want to country to be for retirees... but with all visa requirements as 65k a month per person or 800.000 per person on a bank account and now extra tax payment, combined with all kind of other general laws as alcohol sales ban, double pricing also in hospitals, scam by taxis. Thailand will never be a country to be the country to retire as they want. And worst of all is that most Thais don't even have to fill in a tax form, while some as we have seen last months ear a lot of money without any taxpaying, again double standards for the foreigners
  23. So what is the problem?? Many Thais have Chinese ancestors too, or Burmese or Laos.... What is then problem that he has a Cambodian Grandmother?? A new item to keep him away from the Government? Throw all the ones with Chinese roots out than too
