  1. None of this explains how she apparently is able to brand an "unverifiable" story as true or false. Unless you think it's acceptable to consider an unverifiable story as untrue. In which case, your story fits the criteria just perfectly.
  2. If their claims were impossible to verify, how on earth can she go on to conclude that 95% of them were liars?
  3. It's always wise to read more than just the topic title before you start calling others fools.
  4. I have no experience of riding in Malaysia so I can't comment. I can only imagine total carnage here. For the record, it would be very useful for me on a personal level if bikes could use the expressway. I just don't see it being practical.
  5. Motorbikes on expressways? You've seen the way people ride motorbikes here. Can you imagine if they were let loose on the expressways? The only way to make it work would be a completely walled-off section dedicated to motorbikes. Even then I'm sure there'd be some "create" motorcycle riders managing to cause havoc somehow or another.
  6. You should be well aware, then, that they frequently have people standing inside them. In fact one of the pictures in the OP has people standing inside.
  7. Have you ever travelled in a sawngthew before?
  8. A rule like this really needs to go hand-in-hand with a price increase to compensate the drivers for lost trade.
  9. I haven't been following the thread all the way through and my comments were made regarding brexiteers in general.
  10. A lot of products are actually more than a year old... Besides even if you are asking about a new product, it's probably smart enough to be able to tell you a store that at least sold a previous model.
  11. A brexiteer is in a tough position when it comes to this topic. They can't really admit that a small minority of the people who voted for Brexit are racisis; because the leave campaign only won by a small majority. By admitting that racism played any part is to admit that they needed support from such people to get the vote over the line, which they of course did.
  12. Somebody has already covered the browser/search engine part. The official link for ChatGPT is https://openai.com/blog/chatgpt/
  13. Firefox is a browser, not a search engine. Have you tried ChatGPT to find what you're looking for? Beware that ChatGPT will confidently give an answer to your questions even when it may be wrong, but it might help as a starting point; just make sure you fact check any important information you get before taking it as gospel.
  14. Firstly you should be quoting your source rather than trying to pass these questions off as your own thoughts. Secondly, none of those questions are sensible and they're all answered for you here: https://youtu.be/k5Nr9zs-q9A
  15. While I agree that a move away from the status quo should have a much higher threshold, the biggest problem with the referendum was that there was no "don't know" option. People are encouraged to go out and make their voices heard but there's never a way to express that you don't know or don't feel represented, so they are forced to make a decision one way or another. This is the first link I found on the subject but there are many around, and much more recent than this https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/brexit-deal-uk-eu-frans-timmermans-withdrawal-boris-johnson-a9260356.html It's hard to believe when you watch the clowns in control of the UK doing their thing, but grown up politics isn't petty. The UK rejoining the EU would be a mutually beneficial agreement so an agreement would be come to.
  16. Cross party talks will serve no purpose unless Sunak pulls the unthinkable and accepts support from Labour MPs to help him get legislation through. It would be quite an unprecedented move and I can't honestly see it happening but it would be the only way to stand up to the ERG and other groups who are currently holding the Tory party hostage. It actually may be the only way the Conservatives can save themselves from political oblivion.
  17. No you don't
  18. I was in Hua Hin briefly last week. First time since the pandemic. I didn't get to see much but I saw Father Ted's was still there. They used did a good breakfast last time I was there a few years ago. I didn't see if ElMurpheys was still around but their breakfast was also good.
  19. No. Your extension of stay is cancelled when you leave the country, not when you re-enter.
  20. There's a lot riding on this. The originals are considered all-time classics. I hope they do a good job. I'm certainly looking forward to seeing it.
  21. I really don't think you're understanding the question. Firstly the "bakery" (as we seem to have decided on) is a loss-leader. It doesn't have to make any money so it doesn't have to engage in all the activities mentioned above. It's basically a room underneath a house with a few cakes for sale! Secondly, do you seriously think all small businesses employ web designers and social media hounds? Of course not; they contract other businesses to do that work for them. Even if they did want to employ people in those positions directly for some reason, there's no reason that they couldn't be Thai.
  22. Sure I get that. But the work permit would have nothing to do with the bakery (or coffee shop or whatever) side of the business. The work permit would be for the other half of the business. The "bakery" is just there so that the overall business has enough total Thai employees for the business to qualify for a work permit for a foreigner.
  23. Are you currently on a 90 day entry from your initial visa? Or did you come in on a 90 day stamp, and subsequently extend your permission to stay? From other posts in this thread it appears that in the first situation you may be in the clear. In the second situation maybe not.
  24. And he has never claimed to be doing so. He is scrapping 4000 UK laws that were copy-pasted from EU laws, for no other reason than they originated in the EU. Yes. Yes, he should!
  25. Nobody is in that position at the moment, though. Labour have a clear lead in the polls and the Tories are (genuinely) doing nothing to try and reverse that trend. Why would you gamble on a controversial policy when it could jeopardize your current situation.
