Luckily they were not Chinese or Israeli, otherwise the AN bigots would be after them. -

Trump: "Spare the lives of surrounded Ukrainian troops in Kursk"
Patong2021 replied to connda's topic in The War in Ukraine
Mr. Trump is not the leader of the free world. The USA does not occupy that position. Mr. Trump is given to false and inaccurate statements. -
I have just been educated, having never heard of 5 Star before. It is a franchise chain and owned by CP Foods, who I believe are Thailand's largest chicken producer. Just located a local franchise and will try them out. Local reviews are all solid.

Trump: "Spare the lives of surrounded Ukrainian troops in Kursk"
Patong2021 replied to connda's topic in The War in Ukraine
Please check with your friends in Russia for updated instruction. Note that ISW has observed no geolocated evidence to indicate that Russian forces have encircled a significant number of Ukrainian forces in Kursk Oblast or elsewhere along the frontline in Ukraine. Not the first time Putin has made this claim. Putin claimed in October 2024 that Russian forces "encircled" 2,000 Ukrainian troops in Kursk Oblast, but ISW never observed any Russian milblogger claims or geolocated footage to substantiate Putin's October 2024 claim. Putin has repeatedly failed to acknowledge that the Ukrainian salient in Kursk Oblast extends from the Ukrainian-Russian international border and that Ukrainian forces can transit the sections of the border under Ukrainian control. https://www.understandingwar.org/backgrounder/russian-offensive-campaign-assessment-march-14-2025 -
Russia Rejects Trump's Temporary Ukraine Ceasefire Offer

Why don't you stop belittling anyone who doesn't share your extremist views. -
Portugal was important enough to serve in Afghanistan, and it sent 2 of its personnel home in coffins. It didn't have to go and defend the US interests, but the USA invoked Article 5 of the NATO constitution. DId the USA say thank you? The F35 deliveries were delayed for a year because of a software update failure. A 100% US based defect. However, production is now spitting them out quickly. I think the customers are fed up with the US unreliability. Remember that the US refuses to grant access to the technology and codes that allows the customers to fully maintain and upgrade their aircraft without U.S. involvement. Now that the USA says it isn't a reliable partner, it is madness to purchase locked equipment from the USA.

Says the man quick to label anyone who disagrees a "leftie". It is childish. Some of the most vociferous critics of Trump economic policy are fiscal conservatives or advocates of free markets. -

And yet the MAGA collective was blaming Biden for egg prices, and for the increase in gas prices after the refinery fire and hurricanes impacted gasoline refining. -

I have the right to comment when these people visually assault me. Super skinny people are not the ones who are exposing their buttocks on the beach. If and when it occurs, and shoud they ooze out of their clothes exposing their sweaty ass crack to me, I may comment on them. However, I have yet to see one of these people you refer to. -
I will try Makro then. I hadn't even thought of them since I rarely visit. (I don't buy big quantities.)

Not really. The US requires all major maintenance to be done in the USA. Portugal can get a similar product and have the right to service and to participate rather than send all the money to the USA and to be insulted in return. Without international purchases, the F35 cost will increase for the USA. The Swedes have an excellent alternative. Now that the USA is into tariff and trade wars, it makes no sense for anyone to purchase US made products. It is better to invest in products that will have economic spinoffs locally.

https://gasprices.aaa.com/. That should settle the gas price argument. Gas prices will soon head back up and it won't be political, Every year refineries shut down in the summer for maintenance and demand soars for summer driving. In previous years, refineries had some problems due to hurricanes and fires, although Biden got blamed for the proce increases.

Thailand Chooses Cities for Future Casino Complexes
Patong2021 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Most logical location is near Utapao. This can easily handle junket charters from China, South Korea, Japan and Taiwan. Pattaya as a destination is already set up for this type of visitor and this would be a good way of slowly easing away from cheap sex tourism to a different type of exploitation. The hotels would need major retrofits. More cost effective to demolish and rebuild. There are shuttered storefronts everywhere and not just in Thailand. The businesses were in trouble before Covid and all that Covid did was to speed up their inevitable closing. How many crappy souvenir shops or bad restaurants can a place support? How many of those shops were selling mobile phones, or were tour agencies? The presence of the Royal palace and the demographics of the region preclude it. Hua Hin attracts the middle and upper tier demographic of Bangkok. It is family focused. The foreign visitors are somewhat different than elsewhere in Thailand, and are less likely to support a casino. It's more of an active crowd, even if older. A golf or tennis or hiking development, is more likely to succeed. -
Does anyone ever purchase the Rotisserie style chickens from Lotus, Big C etc? I usually avoid them, but today I was in Big C, which typically is cleaner and of higher quality than other grocers and I relented to my hunger and purchased a cooked "Rotisserie" chicken for 149 baht. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't particularly memorable. I found it greasy and too sweet. I suppose I am used to the US or Canadian format which is a crisper skin, and no sugar glaze. Once I slipped off the skin, it was ok. This then brings me to my question, which grocery chain do you find has the best rotisserie chicken? I haven't seen it in Villa, and I suppose I should check out Tops again. Pre covid, they had some really decent ready to eat meals. I just go there now for specialty items like decaf coffee and some foreign brands.

I have done this route a few times since December and know exactly what you mean. My friend called me this morning to tell me about the collapse. I didn't quite get it until I saw these photos. My heart goes out to the poor workers who have suffered. It will be interesting to hear what the engineers find.

Why would anyone try to smuggle cannabis into Germany? It is readily available. Since 1 April 2024, it has been legal for adults in Germany to possess 25 grams (7⁄8 oz) or less of cannabis in public, up to 50 grams (1¾ oz) of dried cannabis in private and have up to three flowering cannabis plants at home. Adult only non-profit cannabis social clubs were legalised in Germany on 1 July 2024. Why would anyone try to smuggle cannabis into the UK, when every region has a grow op? It isn't expensive, even if illegal. The plod don't even bother with Cannabis possession offences now. It's usually a ticket if one is being a pest.

Nothing deflective. You asked me why I don't comment on "hot women", and I provided an honest answer. I do not treat women as a commodity labeling them "hot or not". One cannot miss a frightening visual on the beach. People who are hefty should wear clothing that is harmonious with their form and not wear thongs. -
Thai Tourism Grapples with Declining Chinese Visitors

I don't know about you, but the Chinese in my area seem to be hearing impaired. They shout and yell even when standing next to each other. maybe someone needs to scream at them that Thailand welcomes them? -

Sure and you Mister PooFarty are a reliable authority. 😉 Not at all. I am not complaining about "hot women" because I don't see any. Almost everyone in Hua Hin respects the local Thai social custom of modesty. -
DOGE Makes Its Latest Errors Harder to Find

Because he is presenting the job eliminations and contract cancelations as savings when they are not. Some of the big contracts they say they canceled were canceled by the Biden admin or were completed. For people who understand contracts, they see through tanother part of the charade. Contracts have cancelation clauses. These include compensatory requirements when a contract is canceled midterm. There are labor law severance requirements that apply to many of the workers.A large number of the people who were put into retirement entered into bridging arrangements. All of this adds up to paying for services that won't be delivered, and salaries of workers who are not working. It is smoke and mirrors. The reality is that almost all of the actual savings are derived from stopping foreign aid. -

Huh? My comment was in respect to morbidly obese people who choose to expose themselves on the local beach. It is quite disturbing for the locals, especially the children. I am talking about 200kg + people who squeeze into a thong. We call one lady the sandwich queen. Her entire backside is exposed, except her crack which literally eats her thong. As for rebuffing your request for my photo, although I am flattered, I don't believe this is a hookup site. I am wary of elderly men asking for my photos. It's the stranger danger thing.
