This is why I never go to BKK. I yearn for the good old days. This is why I DO live in CM. Here in CM, the youth/adults have not yet been so corrupted by the West. Here, we still retain Thai culture and traditional, long-tested norms of behavior in public. Even these days, women here do NOT act like western women, or some BKK women, for that matter. And, this is a good thing. We do not need the loose morals that began in BKK and Pattaya soon after the influx of the GIs, and, more recently, The tourists. Also, Social Media is negatively impacting public displays of affection by causing Thai people to become westernized when there is absolutely... No reason for this.

Report IKEA Goes Cashless at Key Thai Stores Amid Mixed Reactions

It's not real. The stuff they sell is for a make-believe house, or something. -
A rebel without a cause? I would say, just follow along with local mores, and all proceeds swimmingly. However, there are those, such as hippies, that will never be happy if not flaunting unspoken rules, and social norms. Fortunately, young people grow out of it and go on to become preoccupied with more pressing concerns.

If you see a couple touching while walking, then you are not looking at a Thai couple. Could be Chinese young people, or some very OLD Farang dude with his significant other from Pattaya.

Hardly the wilds. Although, yes Kyoto is a place that some consider to be the cultural center of Japan, with a few good universities. -

Economic war IS real war. Economic war is the very best way to destroy a country. China is now trying to destroy the USA, with MUCH HELP from USA leaders, through economic warfare. And, it is real. -
Dear Folks, When truly in love, most people love to touch when they walk. In fact, when in love, how can any couple help from touching…. When they walk? Normally, you might wish to touch when you walk. However, in Thailand, touching while walking is not acceptable. We know why, of course. And so, the question is: Do you abide by local social norms? And, do you avoid touching when you walk? (Personally speaking….Yes. I do avoid touching when I walk. I try to fit in here, and I accept social norms.) Or, as the old song goes: Would you love to touch Roxanne when you walk? Assuming there actually WERE a Roxanne in Thailand? Maybe it is OK in some tourist areas to touch when walking. But, I think it might NOT be OK in other areas of Thailand. Sometimes, I feel like squeezing, pinching, even goosing,...and not just touching. But, I never do. Not even playfully. However… Do you? Best regards, Gamma Note: Roxanne will ALWAYS be my friend….forever.....

By the way, concerning the challenges of gravity: How has gravity been affecting you, as you age. Do you think a parachute might help those saggy jowls of yours? Or, do you think those turkey-like jowls that you sport just might.... Turn-On the young things in Pattaya? Would you like to participate in a STUDY to investigate this question.... Further? And, what about your sagging belly, drooping down below your belt, and... Mostly due to gravity, of course. Do you think a parachute might help you overcome this challenge? Perhaps you need a Study financed by the Gov in Glasgow? Contact JILL, and find out if you might qualify..... Would you be willing?
