  1. Drawing a weapon on bikers? Really? While they are obnoxious, are they committing a capital crime? "reckless road behavior, including running red lights, creating traffic congestion, and producing excessive noise from their vehicles" This just sounds like another day in LOS.
  2. I use a combination of Excel spreadsheet and Outlook Calendar. Outlook is set up to remind me of income tax which I pay quarterly, property taxes semi-annually, and other such reminders.
  3. Yes, a heavy Thai police presence has ALWAYS been a strong tourist draw. These knobs really don't get it, do they?
  4. NOT complaining, just making a real time observation. It took over a minute for this topic to load, and this is after seeing a FB post that the latest upgrade had completed. I know my connection is doing its thing as I have a show streaming simultaneously. As for the top of the page button, I imagine that will return some day as happened in the last improvement about a month or so ago. Just curious - did Elon Musk silently purchase AN?
  5. After having known her for only 2 weeks? What is that saying about a fool and his money?
  6. Just in time for 1 April. Well played, Pattaya Authorities, well played.
  7. As I explained, I go back to visit family/friends every year, so travel expenses are inconsequential. 100k baht to have it done in Thailand vs $145 USD in the US.
  8. Well THIS story hasn't aged well.
  9. You ask a silly azz question and act miffed when someone gives a response in kind?
  10. I kept part B. I had cataract surgery in one eye last year, out of pocket cost was $145 USD. Would have cost a lot more than that here in Thailand. The money I saved easily paid for the price of a business class round trip ticket (which I do annually anyway). Part B cost is negligible if you compare what it will pay for. Again, my favorite Thai phrase - "up to you"
  11. It all depends on every step of your journey accepting your passport. I was denied entry into Ecuador because I had a passport one week shy of six months even though I was only planning on staying a week and had purchased a return ticket. Just renew it.
  12. I make an annual trip to the US to buy underwear. I am a Hanes American size Large and I have never found ANY comparable sizes in Thailand except for an OCCASIONAL batch that comes in to the Big C Pattaya Sukhumvit that I can squeeze in, but not at all the same quality as Hanes.
  13. Coming from someone who brags about about regularly drinking beer for breakfast? I've already wasted too much time on this garbage. Buh bye.
  14. Yeah Bob, we're all wrong, you're the only one who is right. Pfah.
  15. Congratulations Bob, you did it again. Post a nonsense topic with nonsense text then argue about things you know aren't true but no one (including you) can prove one way or the other. There was a syndicated radio talk show host, Tom Leykis, back in the US. He had a label for behavior like this: attention whore.
  16. Sure Bob. Sure you would. But take a video, or it never happened. Just like the spitting thing.
  17. The one with the longest piece of string.
  18. What's the difference between a porcupine and a Porsche? With a porcupine the pricks are on the outside.
  19. Don't ask don't tell.
  20. I only have one dotard on my ignore list. You can still view their replies with a simple click. I occasionally do so with that member and am consistently reminded why dotard is still dotarding.
  21. The quickest way on to my ignore list is to tell me to "just Google it" when I ask for a member to back up their questionable statement.
  22. I see this trend all over LOS. The kids at the school where I teach eating ENORMOUS amounts of sugar every day. Their little bodies burn it up as they are still growing, but once they reach their adult-ish height, it starts storing as fat. Really sad to see.
  23. There used to be one of those "fish bowl" massage parlors (girls sit behind a glass wall for you to ogle and select) in Chonburi city. I kid you not, they were grandmothers in the most gawd-awful uniforms. I guess to each his/her own.
  24. I wouldn't know. I walked away and never looked back.
