Lol, only on AN will someone get criticized by the uneducated, common sense lacking virtue signal brigade for trying to protect himself and others. And yes, PrEP actually IS more effective against HIV than condoms. Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and condoms are both effective at preventing HIV transmission, but PrEP is slightly more effective: PrEP Condoms Effectiveness Up to 99% effective at preventing HIV transmission Up to 94% effective at preventing HIV transmission for females PrEP is a medication that's most effective when taken consistently each day. Common side effects include diarrhea, nausea, headaches, fatigue, stomach pains, and weight fluctuations. Long-term use can lead to organ damage, primarily to the kidney and liver. Condoms are most effective when used correctly and consistently. The CDC found that there is no statistically significant difference between using condoms “sometimes” and using condoms “never”. Using both PrEP and condoms can further reduce your risk of getting HIV

Every aspect of life in Thailand is an elevated risk compared to 1st world western countries. Traffic, guns/knife violence, diseases, etc. Mitigating those risks as best as we individually can is just common sense. For me, PrEP is a logical way to mitigate (by 99%) one occasional risk aspect of my life.

QR payment without tip 80% of the time for me. Cash tip of 20bt when wait staff is above-average friendly and food was good. A rare occurrence nowadays. If food was not good but waitress was good, 20 bt directly to her so she keeps it for herself (well, up to her). Happens a couple times a week. Taxis/ride apps - nope. Locals don't, so I won't. QR payment or exact cash only. Just finishing a 2 week trip to 'Murica after 8 years out of country. Tipping culture out of control now. Waiting for the day flight attendant looks at me angry because I didn't tip. Even coffee shop baristas are expecting tips now, lol.

Urgently need to refill my PrEP (forgot to pack it) upon arrival in Bangkok/Sukhumvit tomorrow. I know I can go to clinics such as Pulse but they require, not sure if for legal reasons or just to add revenue, the customer to do a mandatory test/labs/exam etc. which I do not need as my latest test was yesterday and I'd rather avoid paying for unnecessary services. Any pharmacies (or clinics that are a little more "flexible" ) in the Sukhumvit area that will sell me any of the PrEP brands (Truvada, or Ricovir/Teno EM)?

Worst Joke Ever 2025

A young Ukrainian man about to be conscripted by the corrupt western puppet dictator in Kiev's army ran up to a nun. Out of breath he asked, “Please, may I hide under your skirt, I'll explain later.” The nun agreed. A moment later two military police ran up and asked: “Sister, have you seen a young man with long brown hair?” The nun replied, “He went that way.” After the military police ran off, the man crawled out from under her skirt and said, “I can't thank you enough, Sister. You see, I don't want to go to the front." The nun said, “I understand completely.” The man added, “I hope I'm not rude, but you have a great pair of legs!” The nun replied, “If you had looked a little higher, you would've seen a great pair of balls too. I don't want to go to the front either." -

People with real money (at least US$ 10m+) live in the Carribbean or other nice places. Thailand is "ok" for us single digit non-pensioned millionaires because it allows us to get a glimpse of what life as a real money millionaire can be like. 1 million US$ is frankly f-all in today's western world, easily achieved by anyone with even only half a brain who starts investing in their late teens/early 20s.

Boozy Australian Tourist Restrained by Phuket Airport Police

Bogan blue collar miner trash. Makes up a huge percentage of the country. -
I'll be voting for the one candidate who, although dumber than an orangutan with Downs and an utterly despicable human being, represents two key policy points astronomically better than the smarter, more well adjusted commie witch on the other side. It's people like me that should make dems realize that this isn't going to be a landslide by any means. Do I feel proud of it? Nope. But it's the lesser evil for me as I'm a financial conservative. Has nothing to do with patriotism.

Why are all (insert religion/faith of choice, wink wink) terrorists? Because they all read the bible. -
When a seasoned monger and a seasoned hooker decide to give it a go it's either gonna be a nuclear disaster or a totally solid deal till the end. There's really no middle ground. I've gone both ways, but the nuclear result is by far the more common. But the one time it didn't it was awesome. Only ended because I couldn't keep it in my pants eventually.

I predict they'll choke down DTV issuance/eligibility harder than David Carradine in his hotel BKK room. -
Thai tax riddle: Elite Visa holders off the hook?
Sandboxer replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Well, seeing as that Elite is technically just a tourist visa, the point is moot. -
