If someone asked me what impressed me the most about Thailand (apart for Nana Plaza obviously) I would say without hesitation........ broadband. I half assumed being in the back of beyond we would struggle to a) get braodband and if we did it would be b) snail mail. Signed a contract on a Monday, all done and dusted by Wednesday.......hardly had a problem in two years.

Just be fair.......(which I hate to do)........the hospital in question has been rebuilt since or certainly extended. Still looks a bit rough and ready around the edges, but I imagine it must have improved somewhat inside. You know it's Thai............ the outside is painted in three different shades of vivid lilac.

Hahaha.......rushed to hospital awhile ago out in the sticks. Told the doctor I had insurance....the doctor turned to the nurse and told her to put me in the "VIP room"......... A room with a bed, blood all down the walls (to be fair, probably from squashed mosquitos)......it was en suite in that it had a squat toilet and handbasin. The handbasin was hanging off the wall with so many ants crawling all over it you could hardly see any porcelain.......how we larfed.
