Winning The Trans Debate: Balancing Victory with Integrity
KhunLA replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Why would they compete against other men, defeats the whole purpose of competing against women, so they might have a chance to win. As far as restrooms go, they all should actually be unisex, and monitored. Actually don't even need to be 'rooms', and could simply be a line of stalls in public ... with good exhaust fans 😎 The whole concept of restrooms is a bit outdated. Even sports should be unisex, although it would be dominated by men. Do we really need to know who the strongest or fastest woman is. With few exceptions, women's sports fail to attract any money. Tennis & golf is about it. Women's B-ball, really ... does anyone really watch that, or women's football/soccer. There's a reason the pay sucks compared to men's sports. -
Do you flaunt your wealth in Thailand?
KhunLA replied to GammaGlobulin's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Nah ... have very basic house. Don't think anyone is impressed with our MG ZS or Deco scooter, as inexpensive transport. I dress for comfort, short, collared shirt (made by wife, her label) & sandals. Pretty unimpressive, except for my handsome smile. Stay off the radar of the career criminals who look for wealthy idiots flashing their bling -
That's my 'unscientific' guide for degradation, with the MG ZS. Although I think I'll have the check the SoH at the 40k kms check up. Might be a while, as we're not racking them up like we used to. Past 2 months, I don't even think we put 1000 kms on it.
-
One needs to damage it ASAP, so it's below the SoH level, before the warranty is up, so they replace it for free

IF you own your own residence, then yes, quite easy, and we do in now, on about 17k a month. Without owning, I could do it on 20k, but it wouldn't be a life I'd probably enjoy. I need a nice car, and to travel O&A. Living in a rented box condo, or even a townhouse, doesn't appeal to me, as I need my perks. Rent & utilities for someplace comfy would take up too much income, and wouldn't leave much for munching. Probably wouldn't appreciate living in an urban environment. Any health issues, and 20k wouldn't be enough.

Biden's Cognitive Deficiencies Evident From Day 1 Of His Term
KhunLA replied to rwilem's topic in Political Soapbox
Why they smartly kept him out of the campaign trail in 2020. It's hard to believe he actually won that election, but don't care, as stated many times, worked out a treat for me If they would have done the same for Harris, what little she did campaign, she might have had a half way decent chance of winning. But the word salads were too much to ignore -
Send recipe ??? This is the one I follow, sort of... To speed it up, you can use ground pork, or last batch I make, I minced tenderloin to paste like, and added gelatin, since not having corn meal / polenta. Actually worked pretty good. Next batch, IF doing same, I'll need to adjust the seasonings, adding more, as I went a little light, since last time I did it without corn meal, I used the amount of salt in recipe, forgetting no water or corn meal, so it was way over salted. Actually couldn't eat it, and wife added it to her sausage/meatball mix, that diluted the salt content and was OK. Now I don't add salt at all, and put on after pan frying it

I used all open source resources for my DIY drone building, when it was cheaper & better to build your own. Now they are better and inexpensive just to buy. Did take all the fun out of out, and even the wife noticed, I enjoyed building them, more than operating them. An addicting hobby. Even those open source sites aren't updated, as not used much now. I haven't built one in so long, I probably couldn't. As the software to do, was on an older laptop, that died long ago. Forget how to program the flight controller or GPS modules. Retired my DIY drones anyway, ran out of batteries, and can't trust any vendors for new ones. Damn expensive also, as can buy a drone for the price of a battery now.

I used GeoCities, they stopped after Yahoo bought it ... that really sucked, as had a lot on it WebShots is another, went subscription, thankfully in my early days of photography here, so not much lost, and I probably have back up somewhere, on a hard drive I have VHS diving vids, that I never converted to digital. No major loss, as not like I'd watching them over & over, or show to people ... the dreaded home movie syndrome of decades past. Local forum in Udon Thani, most of used a free photo upload service, and they went belly up, or major server crash, so all photos on the forum lost access to ... oops I lost trust in just about everything
-
I use a cracked version of 'LR' - Lightroom for photo editing. As subscription is a bit expensive per month, and don't really need it. Bought Topaz photo editing software, cheap during a promotion. If really needing more software, I'd buy their upgraded versions or something else. Most free editing software is OK, unless you really suck at photography. I really don't need to edit my photos much, though it does clean them up a bit, especially Topaz software, DeNoise. Wife uses cracked version of PhotoShop. That's about the only software we use. We don't subscribe to anything. Torrents for movies & TV series. If they put out anything of quality, I might even feel guilty about it. But can't think of 1 movie, I'd actually pay $5 to watch, as $5 was the matinee price of last movie I saw in the theater at USA, (1999) The Matrix. Stopped going to movies in TH, and don't think I ever paid more than 80-100 baht / $3, and only a few times, and long time ago. Never was a TV watching person. What little TV that I did watch, I taped, VHS, to FF through the commercials ... yea, that long ago. Never subscribed to a cable service, as didn't see the value, to stare at a box. Enjoy living life outdoors or in the bedroom. Staring at other people on TV never interested me.

I don't think I'll be needing Google One anytime soon, as it's taken me, 15-20 yrs, to use G's free storage account: "4.66 GB of 15 GB used" Mostly G Photos, which I don't really use anymore YouTube, I have less than 600 vids on that, and most are short, under a few minutes. I use FLICKR, which I'm almost full up on the 1000 photos free account. Used others, and lost all access, when they went to a subscription policy. Why I'll never use another free service, for anything, as suspect they'd do the same, and I'd lose access. Why I have a bunch of external hard drives, for media storage.

To the title ... NO, I don't, and probably wouldn't subscribe to anything. I even use ad blocker, and if a site won't give me access, oh well, so be it. Except for some invaluable info, freedom of speech, real news instead of MSM's lies, the world would be a better place without the internet. People would actually interact again, have and live real lives, instead of though their devices. Internet is an amazing info tool, but people really do need to unplug.

I try to use only LAZ MALL vendors, and don't order anything overseas more than couple 100 baht, unless I know the vendor already.

If shrimp cake fan, this was too easy, and turned out rather good. Made 6 nice pieces, using one of those round metal egg forms, you'd use for egg mcmuffin. Or just spoon it in the pan. Recipe below as guide 🙄 too lazy to go to the garden for green onions or to chop garlic Mix everything else together in a bowl, then simply add Shrimp and mix

Way too many BEVs in TH, especially locally / PKK, and MG ZSs. Getting near 10 owned locally, I think, and considering the size & economics of the area, impressive amount, not counting the other brands I've noticed; BYDs, Ora kitty cats, even a couple Teslas. Not leaving out the Hybrids. Another silver ZS like ours at Makro, which I tried to enter ... having a 'What the, why isn't that button working', along with "Where the F is my dog ?" Hmm .. there's ours, 2 slots down 🙄 On Topic as always ... Wuling Bingo EV @ Makro on display, and have to say, looking quite impressive, abet low spec'd, but didn't expect it to be that finished. Much better than the Wuling Air EV
-
Our local Makro has the 2 for 1 again. Didn't have the 18 month Chedder, so picked up the Vintage (24 months). A bit sharp for me, so will use one for the 'Velveeta' again, and should taste much better. Especially since BBD is 10-1-2025

Yea, we never her out of her room, to play at grandma's with cousins & neighborhood kids ... Buddha forbid That of course left me, as single parent to teach her 3 languages, English, Thai (BKK), and isan-Lao, along with math of course. The sheltered life really restricted her growth, as only managed to graduate Uni, (her pick of any), along with winner English competitions at high school level. Managed to intern a the company she wanted while in Uni, during covid, then worked for them, along with starting her own business, and RE holdings. Renting them out, building equity, at no cost to her. And ... she's only 25 yrs old. She gets to blame all her failures on her parents while at her therapist Troll elsewhere

Last night's leftover; spicy sausage, egg noodles w/sausage & onions, and since brekkie, added a cheese omelet

Spiders, and they get free range in the house, since killing most other bugs. Chickens soon, but they'll have their own house. Along with, we'll be eating their abortions

Notice the charts charging start level is way below where we start. Usually ~30% +/- 5%, and usually on the + side of 30%. 3+ hours on first leg, hopefully, and ~250 ish kms. Usually with a 70-100 kms reserve at that point. We usually charge in the 30% - 90/95% when O&A. There chart seem to be starting at 10% ... We're rare if ever below 20% when O&A, (once), and only near 10% when doing an equalization.
