Oz $ losing so much value to the Baht

Don't know what y'all are crying about. As that looks like a really good 5 yr run, and y'all should hope it repeats for the next 5 years, or at least holds where it is Actually, the past 15 yrs has been very good for the AUD against the THB -
Motorbikes flout Pattaya’s one-way rule, locals demand action
KhunLA replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
If locals demand action (doubtful) then they could simply set up CCTV, and send to PoPo. I know if I live in Bangkok, I'd live for free, with a camera set up to get photos of folks driving on the sidewalk. Talk about an easy money maker, better than the stock market Imm would probably ask for a work permit and TRD would be taxing all that extra income 🥵 -
Very nice, THANKS More post like this and AN would actually be enjoyable to read, instead of ... why do I bother sifting though hours of posts, just for 5 interesting ones. @Bangkok Black No advice, but seems you'll need to keep G-translate handy. And please do a follow up trip report, let us know your thoughts & experience. So much hate from people that probably have no experience of what they post. Must think 'AN' forum is post 'Anything Negative' forum.

Electrolux stand mixer, since it gets a lot of use, but think it's their low end model. Has attachments, but I don't bother. Makro grinds meat for you, so one less thing for me to clean. Philips food processor, again, low end model, as doesn't really get used that much. Will mix bread, but I think it struggles a bit. Actually why I got the stand mixer. Food processor is good for salsa and nut butters. Apparently I got the stand mixer on a really nice sale from Electrolux on Shopee Current listed (unlisted ?
All Hail ... anoher President Trump win Paraphrased from numerous news channels, maybe. Mine usually can't be linked, so just my opinion, or what might have happen, or been reported ... Meta to pay Trump $25 million to settle censorship lawsuit – media ... 22M to his library fund ... rest to legal fees Relating to lawsuit when bounced off Meta's platform (s). Along with Meta discontinues use of 3rd part fact checker service, and in their words, possibly ... ... "Zuckerberg acknowledged that the services had been “too politically biased” and “have destroyed more trust than they’ve created.” ... IMHO, I think that translate into ... 'it doesn't fit our left agenda, so it's false and or offensive ... DELETED' Tell us what we didn't already know

If use a stand mixer, I put all ingredients in, run for 6 mins on speed 1, then 6 mins on speed 2. Take out of bowl, form a ball, cover, let it rise for 30 mins Deflate, form a ball, stick it in pan (20cm ?), cover, let rise again 30 mins in oven, 13 mins @ 230C, turn, then 17 mins @ 175C Test internal temp, done at 190F -

Yes, more dense than anything store bought. Considering a large loaf of 'Farmhouse' is 500gr. When I make whole wheat or rye, even more dense. Still kind of airy and springs back. This loaf a bit less, with the extra seasoning (dry ingredients). 474878993_29581571544775739_628068450107572479_n.mp4 -

D 17 H 12 cm W ~700 gr Usually heavier, but I cut 150 gr out for pizza tomorrow Use this recipe as guide, @ 7:35 1 loaf instead of baguettes Use bread flour, and use a stand mixer. Have made with the food processor, or you can even do by hand, just a little extra work kneading. Rese 2X @ 30 mins each Usually don't use sugar, or very little if a do, so use 'red' yeast ... -

Baking bread as usual, BUT, already seasoned with garlic, oregano, rosemary, parsley & onion powder. -
Why would anyone buy an American made car from USA, in TH. That's just stupid. Chevy found out they can't complete. Not a whole lot of Fords on the road, except trucks. Is any other Yank dealers here besides Ford. Seriously, why would anyone even consider an overpriced, underperforming car from JP or USA, when so many better & less expensive options from CN now. So much to choose from in the <1฿M price point.

They sell salads, and chicken breast, along with many other things. If you eat in restaurants, I'm sure many of the prepared fresh or frozen meals are as healthy as any restaurant would put out. When you're O&A, you're not cooking your own meals. Even is living daily, without a kitchen or cooking for yourself, 7-11 munching wouldn't be the worst option. Just choose wisely. Toasties and 'burgers', especially with the 'cheese product' might not be the best choice, but they have many more options. Along with nuts & seeds for snacking vs crisps, etc. Water of course, and some with fresh coffee vs sugary drinks or 3 & 1 coffee.

When O&A, 7-11 is a GODsend, or BUDDHAsend, as many times, staying rural, there aren't too many food options. Plus there's usually a vendor or two just outside their doors for some variety, if nothing peeks your interest, besides a beverage & snacks. Why PTT Parks are our go to when charging the car while O&A. After 3+ hrs on the road, hard to beat the selection at PTT Parks, food court, food vendors, coffee shop and 7-11. They even have healthy options to choose from. By the time we're all done relieving ourselves & munching, the cars done.

I had one GF in USA, that actually was certified mentally unstable. And used as an excuse so she could scam bennies, and not work. It wasn't that far from the truth though, but she could have easily been employed. She got free housing, food, medical as extras on her Soc Sec, that she was drawing from her husband, who committed suicide. After living with her for a few, I understood why he off'd himself

I agree, and if Christian evangelism are concerned about saving mankind, then they should be pushing BEVs, not the anti China Trump. I get it now ... injecting your favorite subject into a topic, even though completely off topic, is so rewarding. "Honey, come help me, I think I'm going to explode"

Don't people, expats here, actually have friends. You know, get togethers at houses, a little bbq, sit around, talk to each other. Especially since a bit cooler weather and not brutally hot outside. Sitting in a bar environment all the time can't be healthy. You can always ring up you favorite night time companion, to get your freak on later, especially if he, she or it is P4P. People do keep a little black book (folder of phone) of friends w/bennies, or P4P companions. Myself, the former when single. No different in TH, as when back in USA. People been here long enough, they do, should have some 'real' friends. When I lived in Udon Thani, I popped over friend's houses, and they over to ours for a day of food & drinks, and chit chat. Life revolving around alcohol & bars has got to get boring, sooner or later, and need to break it up sometimes. What better time than 'no sales' day. Even a meet up at a night market with friends, as if nobody serving any alcohol, hard to believe, then BYO. Especially folks in Patts. If not drinking spirits, how hard to throw 6er in a cooler and hang out surfside.

He's something complete different. A thread about the all mighty President Trump, sent from the heavens to save mankind. Instead of Trump entering every thread, from cars, weather, sports, travel, movies, food threads that start of having nothing to do with Trump. A thread actually about Trump.

Bill Gates Reflects on Friendship with Jeffrey Epstein: "A Huge Mistake"
KhunLA replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Bridge player ... Only thing he regrets is getting caught cheating on his wife, as do all Aholes once outed. Should of divorced her 20 years earlier, as it would have been cheaper, and he'd still be respected. Now he's remembered as just another rich perv, not that there's anything wrong with that, as she might have been an adult at the time. -
What else could people add ? Where to buy from their favorite vendor that will be selling Friday, and put their vendor at risk If you can't find alcohol (or too dumb to stock up), on no alcohol days, then oh well ... ... you can't fix stupid
