Why I always bought new here / TH, for a wee bit more. On the 5th new one already in 21 years. Complete opposite to my USA purchases, as only bought 1 new vehicle, and that was a work truck. If not needed dependability for work, probably would have passed on that. But it's a new dawn in TH, with cheaper & better vehicles from CN, along with the little price war going on. As pointed out in OP, sucks for 2nd hand sellers, though great for the consumer. A great time to pick up a new vehicle 👍

Sadly the USA is still selling cluster bombs. War is good for clearing the shelves of old stock. Nothing goes to waste. USA themselves haven't been caught using, since 2009. Choose better vendors also ... 24 yrs here, and surprisingly only twice, had problem from restaurants, and very popular ones. One was a fried chicken breast, and damn raw in the center. Went back to my room & puked. Another was a buffet, so not too surprising, although I was being careful. Saw them bring something out from the kitchen, restocked on item, so I thought it was freshly cooked ... oops. As soon as I bit into it, it was barely warm ... oh crap ... got back home, and same, puked shortly after arriving. Actually not bad, as careful as I try to be, 6 beers to the wind, and I've eaten some suspect food. Maybe the alcohol killed the bacteria

You might want to choose something different to eat when selecting. I've yet to have any issue eating Thai street food.

A new Yaris (vios) cost about 700k now .. no thanks. You only got 22k kms on ... I'd keep it till it died. I do 22k in one year. That's too much time in a car for me, as I need more comfort than the Yaris/vios would provide. Had 2 of them .. I'm not going backwards.

don't want to go too far off, but here's a break down of oils & the fats ...

Yes, fresh fruits peeled & cut in front of you. BBQ every thing, hot off the grill. Roast chicken in big clay pots. Even fried chicken, if I see the oil isn't black. Steamed Bao bun and such. Common sense and choosing wisely goes a long way.

Except for the Canola, the Olive (EV), Coconut & Peanut are cold pressed/first pressed. Not refined at all, I think, or simply the minimum. Sure they get some kind of processing, but have most of their nutrients before the rest get ultra processed. Beef Tallow or butter for cooking proteins.

And yet, so many more are so more successful than all of the members on AN. ... Go figure. And don't need to travel to another side of the world to survive and or have sex.

Was sort of hard core against seed oils also, till read & heard a bit more about them. Now not so much, though use sparingly. Main issues is, they are used extensively in processed food, especially the extreme junk food. Will use canola or peanut oil, depending what in the frying pan, and temp I want. Beef Tallow & Butter more often, though pay attention to the caloric count. Since I don't burn it off like I use to. Olive & coconut for dressing and making chocolate. Again some moderation, as get plenty of fats in my food already, since leaning toward a Keto ish diet. This guy helps put it in perspective, cuts through some of the anti seed oil rhetoric.

I've eaten my share, damn tasty stuff, and have never even been ill from it. As I stated earlier, choose wisely. You can make the same poor choices in a restaurant, or even at home, if you're a bit ignorant of those thing, healthy eating & hygiene. Has nothing to do with street food, and all to do with you choices. As all things in life.

You do realize, all you did was repeat what I stated, though don't know why. I'm just saying, many people surely are thinking ... "Why'd I bother", as 4 presidents, since 2000, and 2 didn't get the popular vote. If I voted for gore or clinton, I don't think I'd ever vote again. Same everywhere, as I know way too many people in the USA, that bought crap (trucks especially) that they didn't need, nor could afford. You can't fix stupid ... that applies worldwide

I think that's going to change, very soon. As people realize not only cheaper to buy in, but cheaper to operate & maintain. People can't stay ignorant forever. If you're going to spend 500k or more, do you really want a used vehicle vs a new one. Spend 600k or 700k, and you're beyond entry level / get what you pay for specs. I know where my baht would go 😎
