  1. That's a long piece of string. Most hotels will consider a 10 yr, an adult. Some may or may not charge adult fee for extra bed. August is a bit too far away to give an accurate price, unless you actually want to book something. Booking.com will take booking for August. I'm not a fan of paying in advance. You can at least get some ballpark ideas of price from booking.com for August. Which is still off / rainy / low season, so surf will probably be red flagged.
  2. I can tell you almost exactly how much, since I owned both the MG ZS EV & ICE. Local driving of 360 kms, kWh & petrol cost: MG ZS EV / ICE ฿231 / ฿925 per 360 kms EV using 46.3kwh @ ฿5 per kWh ... high #, as nobody pays that much ... ฿347 if have to use CS @ ฿7.5 per kWh ICE using 25.71 L of 91 @ ฿36 per Liter ... less than yesterday's price
  3. Even better, get one of the DECO E-MC, <30K baht, and charging no problem, as the battery is removable with the 1000w motors, and can charge in your condo/apartment. Perfect for knocking around locally. I don't even need a car locally, except if raining.
  4. Mirage (entry level POS) is way out classed by the Atto 3, not even close. Mirage: ,,, maxi output of 78 horsepower at 6,000 rpm ... peak torque of 100 NM at 4,000 rpm Atto 3 ,,, 201 hp ... torque of 310Nm. Compare the Atto 3 to something at least close to the performance, or even the same size (dimensions). Mirage ... H 1345mm, W 1585mm, L 3790mm Atto 3 ... H 1615mm, W 1875mm, L 4455mm
  5. That was only for the first month, first week of April 2020, I think, when everything was suppose to be shut down. We went O&A anyway, as there was no enforcement, that we noticed where we are or went. Just looked at my timeline, and we went to Chumphon April 9, 2020. Hotels were a bit hard to find open, so we didn't go far the first month. After that, most place ignored the 'no travel/stay closed' advise, except for the major inter'l tourist areas. Local surfside shops all closed, and stayed closed, as they catered to vacationers, mostly Thai actually, but they were obeying the 'no travel advise'. One street over, running parallel, and all normal, after first week, as that's where the locals shop & ate. Too funny actually, as remember others on formal complaining what's closed in there area, or crying about others being out and not shuttering in. And I was thinking after the first week, all was normal. That said, I wouldn't know where to get a haircut anyway, as been cutting my own for about 15 yrs. Yep, back on topic.
  6. Quite a few more; ... stock market test crash ... stock market crash ... Korea ... Vietnam ... my lifetime now ... no oil / shortages ... classic, rinse & repeat ... WMD ... economic collapse (bail outs) ... MMCD, melting ice caps (still waiting) ... rising seas (elite & politician live where ? ) ... now WW III, evil RU & CH Hook Line & Sinker I may never get a haircut ... always on topic
  7. There was a pandemic ? That's why the beaches were empty during high season.
  8. Hell yea ... loved being single here. And it has nothing to do with the income disparity, OK, maybe a little. OK, maybe a lot more now, as I'm older. But I smiled a lot back in the USA also, so not really that much of a difference. Except there, I usually had to initiate saying 'Hello' first. I think a lot has to do with being foreigner also (away from tourist areas), as same in the USA, an gals would go 'ga ga' over guys with accents. Before that wee bit of salt & pepper, turned into a lot salt, less pepper, here/TH, and I always looked 5-10 yrs younger anyway, it's was fun being single. Advantage of not being an Alky, chain smoker or sun worshiper. Others my age always seemed to look old. Don't know why anyone wants to, or needs to, go the P4P route. I do, but I'll be kind, and give y'all the benefit of the doubt. Only reason would be to pay, is for them to leave in the morning, which I never wanted them to. Some of the best fun is after waking up.
  9. Some things, I'd rather just buy at 7-11. Although has a better Pandan flavor, a PITA to make, and now have about 10X of what a serving is at 7-11 (weight wise), and really don't need to have this sitting here. Guess I could freeze half till next month.
  10. HEY ... you been peeking in the window ... I look smokin' hot in that red chiffon number, as it just clings and shows all those curves. Work it girlfriend ... 🤣
  11. The news blip wasn't about thunderstorms or 'rough seas' in the NE. Let that part sink in
  12. Throw an insect into the web and watch it do its thing. Pretty cool
  13. You could actually read the link: "The southern region, facing the east coast, can anticipate thunderstorms in 20% of the area, predominantly impacting provinces including Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat. The eastern seaboard from Surat Thani upwards will face northeast winds of 20-35 km/h with 2-metre high waves, increasing beyond 2 metres during thunderstorms. Conversely, the southern region facing the west coast is forecasted to have thunderstorms in 10% of the area, mainly affecting provinces like Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, and Krabi, with daytime temperatures heating up."
  14. Why would one apologize for such an accurate statement .. IMHO ... oh wait, I know, so in income is stopped when you get cancelled
  15. The wife of course, especially since I've been exploring my non-binary cross dressing, black Asian identity. I feel so free, now that I'm woke. I'll let her carry that white cis male guilt around for a while ...
  16. Only 48 ... the year is starting off slow. Yearly event during every celebration of a 'Championship' win, along with a riot and looting usually. What better way to celebrate than the gift free sh!t
  17. I have not, as I'm usually just sitting on a park bench away from people (ELGWBI) Booster shot #8, masked up & social distancing, all recommended by the AN paranoid health experts, and thankfully has kept me alive... IMHO Occasionally I sit curbside, if park benches are full of fellow social distancing folks. I figure sucking in diesel exhaust will kill any of the virus that has made it past my mask. EVs will be the ruin of mankind, no exhaust to kill the viruses we breathe in ... IMHO
  18. Much appreciated, the thoughtfulness and care AN members have for our safety. Thanks to them, I knew to avoid the puddles on the road, still there from a light overnight rain. Imagine the car fire that would have happened if the car got wet. Later we went out to dinner, and I wasn't paying attention, and hit a speed bump. Luckily the car didn't explode, and there was a spot to pull over and park. We exited as fast as possible and waited the 6 hrs that people recommend, for safety sake, before getting back in and returning home. Got home around midnight and just enjoyed that quality time sitting roadside, releasing how lucky we were. You never know when the end will come when driving EVs. PRAISE BUDDHA
  19. THANKS I got more than a few hard drives, that are back ups of back ups, and way too redundant. I've use 2 online sites before, but they both went from free to paid subscription. Have a Flickr account that allows 1000 photos now for free, almost full. Also Google photo account, which is fairly unlimited, and use to put a lot there, but no so much any more. I pretty much just take photos for myself. Brother keeps on trying to get me to publish a book, but I can't be bothered. Any new species I photograph, I stick on FB, more for me and my all of 9 friends, 8 which are family back in states. Let's them know I'm still alive.
  20. If got the time, along the river, as you'll probably stop more often. Done both, prefer riverside, though TBH, haven't been on either for quite some time, years.
  21. Simply easier, and habit I didn't get out of, when daughter was younger at the house, and she wanted pancakes. She could easily make herself. But yea, can't see me buying mix again, especially since I like the pandan flavor, or will simply do with bananas & flour. All a bit too easy.
  22. This turned out OK. Used the crap pancake mix, photo below, DO NOT BUY. Stick with Imperial or different brand. I tested the crappy brand, because the Imperial went from ~฿80 to ฿120, simply because the renamed it from 'Pancake Mix' to ... "American Pancake Mix" Anyway, crap mix w/pandan powder, topped butter, honey & cinnamon, and tasty: Avoid this brand, get Imperial, or just make your own:
  23. Racist ... or would that be species-ist Not a fan myself, but, they do have some nice looking ones in the 'family' of: Best of Show Thick-billed Green-Pigeon - Treron curvirostra Even got some fancier ones, but I don't have photos of
  24. Definitely a crap day down here / PKK 😷 Don't need a meter to tell me that, as can't see the headlands of the bay from the house, <5kms away, or the hills to the west, <10kms away. Rest of the province is a bit worse: We're a bit better at & in the house:
