Do you have to ask for the Rat Guard, or do they install without the need to ask. Have to tell my daughter to take a peek under the car. She's only had it a couple months.

Already stated, they've chosen EVs over ICEVs. Added plus that the energy mostly comes from hydro. Kudos to the people & govt taking advantage of that. Unlike other countries, that let fossil fuel industry dictate energy production. There really is no reason why 'most' countries, can't be energized by solar, hydro, thermal energy production. Oh wait, we know why they aren't ... Thailand being a prime example, as no reason 100% of energy isn't coming from solar & hydro production. Especially with CN so close & components inexpensive. Thankfully the people aren't waiting. I see more & more solar systems monthly. My installer added a 2nd crew, as they are non stop installing systems. At least 3 systems a week per crew, I believe. Our system only took 1 day to install, inverter, 18 panels & ESS on a one story house.

No, I did not. Just divided my DD received from SS amount in $$. Leave the rest up to the computers, as I have no control Quite the pittance for ease of paperwork for visa extensions. Hassle free life is more important, than a couple more plates of Som Tam a year If I keep on living off my company pension, then we get to bank only -฿875k a year, instead of ฿1m a year. The spread for L/H exchange rate. Though I don't think we'll get away with living on my pittance of a pension next year. Already got some spending in mind 2024 ... HARRISS ... 2024

Oh yea ... it is that time of the month. Honey ... we can eat now For the curious, my SS DD rate was ฿32..08 @ 0858 / 3 Oct BBL IDD DD, SS to BBL direct (not via NY branch) source (USD / THB) source (Time - BKK / UTC) @Pib @ 0700 BKK / 1200 UTC time Google Finances quote So Wise is pretty spot on, although + added fees and why I stopped using, along with no CC use, at the time. Wow ... that's pretty much our monthly living expense ... ... GONE

For the future BEV buyers out there, that believe the Toyota BS, of SSB (solid state batteries) coming to market soon ... well ... maybe not so soon. Depending on your age, finance, and desire to drive a better performing car than an ICEV, you may just want to get one of the current BEVs available. I'm not alone, in my anti Toyota thinking, as they have been BS for decades; H2 cars, SSB, being late to the game and simply can't compete. Hence their stock is crashing ...

Foreign Rider Killed in Early Morning Motorcycle Crash in Jomtien
KhunLA replied to Georgealbert's topic in Pattaya News
Already on the books, must have to rent MC. All a bit irrelevant if you don't drive responsibly. Speed limit & helmets save lives. The uncommon common sense And speed limiter on vehicles ... don't be silly, never going happen, and it should never happen. Imagine needing to rush someone to the hospital, and your max speed is 45 kph Us heart attack / stroke prone old farts ... that could be the final nail in the coffin for a few Hopefully the lass make a swift recovery. Guess we'll be seeing a 'go fund me' soon. If they had health insurance, would it cover driving a MB, if so, reckless, no helmet, possible alcohol, if any of those were applicable to reject. They probably just woke up early, and wanted to catch a nice sunrise from a hilltop somewhere. R I P -
Here's our experience with the MG ZS EV, (2022) coming up on 2 yrs / 35k kms. We quite like it, and would definitely purchase it again. We also had the ICE version for 2 yrs prior to the BEV version. Safe to say, we really like, and fits our lifestyle, and my back, getting in & out of. Lower sedans don't work for me, as would open up more options. Main competitor at it's price point (MSRP) is the BYD ATTO 3, which my daughter has, along with a couple AN members, who all seem to enjoy it. They are spec'd almost identical, and I give the ZS a very slight edge (bias) over the Atto 3, mainly a more comfortable seat, for me. Design wise, like the modular battery, if needing repair, can fix modules of, instead of replace the whole pack. Whether that option will even be available after the warranty expires is a question mark, as may be discontinued. Also the battery pack is encased in steel, so should avoid any damage from road hazards vs being encased in plastic. Has one of the highest IP ratings against moisture & dust entering the battery pack. An issue that popped up in previous model (2019), which they did have a fix for. @Yodarapper discounted MG ZS EV price of 599k, to rid stock this year, is quite the bargain. When leaving & selling, at that price point, can't see you losing much, if any. Our 2 yr old has insured value of 840k now, and we need to renew the policy this moth. New MSRP is 829k. So 599k is one of,, if not the best bargain out there. Highly recommend giving one a test drive.

"So what’s next? What did you do, or intend to do, once the bars and the bright lights lose their appeal and the "been there, done that" feeling sets in? " That scene lost its appeal to me long before I moved to TH. Never really bothered with it here, as got that all out of my system before arriving. I did the reverse of most folks, Didn't do the family thing. Skipped that an went straight to planning the retirement, while enjoying the S, D & RR. Then retired, and did the family thing, quite unplanned, as thought I'd simply continue on enjoying myself, without doing the family thing ... ever. Turned out, the family thing, is pretty damn cool, and just as much fun & rewarding, if not more so, than the S, D & RR was. Go figure, who would have thought. Now I've been retired of all responsibilities, and this is fun also. Presently at a crossroads now, strange at near 70 yrs old, and actually thinking about playing subsistent farmer. All in, except the 4 legged livestock part. Just chickens, and just enough for eggs. Already got one lot going, and wife picked up 2 more this week. One is almost cleared, and the other, really don't need for anything. Do need a new hobby

no Middle east ... don't really care much about what goes on over there. Get most news from AN, as most MSM is posted here, though ignore most of it. Personally, I only check out the headlines on RTnews, and will read occasionally if something interests me. That's rare also. I pay attention of what's going on in the world, more so just TH. Most because I live here / TH, and nothing really changes in the rest of the world. The news has been on an endless loop, as long as I can remember, just the players have changed along the way. You still have the 5 permanent members of the UN Security Council control the disruption, and the puppeteers controlling them. Middle east will always be in conflict, at least in the news, as a necessity to keep oil prices as high as possible. US, UK, most of EU & JP are in self destruct mode. Economies shrinking, and becoming service oriented to the elite. Technically bankrupt, but shh, don't say it out loud, as Central Banking would collapse. Manufacturing has all but left, and what little is left, can't compete with CN or Korea. The news ... great for a bit of comic relief. All makes TH a great place to be & retire

Probably not, as what is you life expectancy for the year you were born ? 51 now, if a Yank, that would be 67.4 yrs old, if born 1973. "have kids in late 60's early 70's." .... yea, let that one sink in

I would suspect the opposition of releasing that, so people could criticize as a fake his supporters release ... and yea, hook line sinker Anyone with common sense, that has seen him walk up & down, steps or ramps, knows he wouldn't do something that stupid, at his age. Lack of secret service anywhere should be the first clue, if common sense isn't working. Title should read "fake reporting of a fake photo" ... try to think for yourselves once in a while 😎

Harris Lies, Americans Die. Illegal Aliens are more Important
KhunLA replied to Yagoda's topic in Political Soapbox
Don't know what trump has to do with my thoughts, or thoughs of family in N.C. All safe, and that's all that matters. The area is a bit isolated, since some, many roads are impassible, or just not there any more. Would think with all the rain, they got plenty of water. Bag a deer, and they can eat for a month. They're are fairly self sufficient, and far from helpless, luckily. -

Didn't feel anything, as could care less about things that don't concern me. Didn't even know or follow the drama, if there was any. -

If you followed the subject matter, then you'd already know, TH Imm leaves it up to the individual offices now to charge for service, that may be free elsewhere. If you google, you my even find a news blip stating such. I know I've seen & read it myself, years ago. As a contentions issue quite some time ago. I refused myself one time to pay to have visa transferred at another office, since no receipt would be issues. I told the bi-atch to keep it/PP, and I'll come back Monday and get it from your boss, who wasn't there at the time. On return, he asked the wife to explain to the ding dong farang, the Thai way. She told him, when you steal from him, you steal from me. Here's your PP, and have a nice day. Also been told many years ago, when getting a CoR, 600 baht ... say what, do I get a receipt .... no ... if want a receipt, takes one week & 300 baht I needed it now, so paid, but then reported it to the corruption office in town. As did more than a few others, about both fees, for CoR & transfer of vis to new PP. As they were free services at the time. Quite the stink in town and on local forum at the time. Low & behold, some time afterwards, they release that news blip I read, stating up to Imm offices if they wish to charge or not for some services. What a coincidence. Apparently more than a few complaints filed about charges in a few provinces, hence the policy change. Do try to keep up

After 24 years, I think I know the difference, and it's returned with the extension receipt, as once done at the same time. That was 2 extensions ago, so doubt if I still have, not that I would bother to find and post. Believe me or not, as I could give a rat's. Your just being silly, as usual. Have a Nice Day

Read reviews & choose wisely. Along with, inspecting room before paying for, which the wife does if we've not stayed there before. Wife cleans the room spotlessly, and no trace of our dog being there. Bed is covered w/plastic & top sheet. Dog hair (lots) swept up & removed. Yes, I know most don't tend to the situation as well, but staff should do a decent job, especially if pet charge is involved. Quick inspection before paying will ensure that. Of course if you have fur allergies, best to avoid. Agree with smoker's room, as you'll never get rid of that smell, with replacing everything.

Does sum it nicely. Having owned 15 ish used ICEVs in USA (1 new truck), and include hippie dippy van, to station wagons, family sedan, domestic & imports, trucks, sports car & luxury cars, I think I can speak from experience. Include the 4 new ICEVs bought here / TH, and our BEV, same make / model as one of the ICEVs owned here (MG ZS), I can honestly say, there really is no comparison. BEV being far superior in every way. Only 1 exception, the Caddy was a damn comfy ride. Aside from that, a POS. And I didn't just drive cars in the USA, being poor, I tore apart & repaired them myself. From simple maintenance, tune ups, set points, tach & dwell use, to engine, trans & rear swaps. All served me well, as expected at least, and a couple, damn fun to drive. Some good, some you get what you pay for. With that, I'd never buy another ICEV.

Bruce Springsteen's Call to Action: Endorsing Harris, Criticizing Trump

What is the painted surface material. If drywall / gypsum board, be careful. For a finished coat, use the thicker, fluffier roller, as it hides the imperfections better.

Bruce Springsteen's Call to Action: Endorsing Harris, Criticizing Trump
KhunLA replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Another celebrity of high caliber ... ... divorced because cheating on his wife ... earns respect from me. That's OK, he knows what's best for us He supported obama also, though not a lot of truth, transparency and integrity in that admonition ... IMHO ... "Springsteen supported Barack Obama's 2008 presidential campaign, announcing his endorsement in April 2008. He appeared at several rallies in support of Obama's campaign throughout that year.[150] At one such rally in Ohio, Springsteen discussed the importance of "truth, transparency and integrity in government" - wiki -
