China Denies Upstream Water Release Amid Thai Floods
KhunLA replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
You can, and other countries manage. OR ... Buddha forbid, try not building on low level flood plains, would be even a better solution. oops ... too late. Nong Khai city as a retaining wall, and works ... most of the time Same with Vientiane, Laos, as haven't read about them being flooded out for some time, though don't really pay attention. -

Starting an apartment complex

Since farming area / land, I'd buy extra land and make it all 1 level. Construction gets expensive when you go up. 3 rows of 8, surrounding parking area. Makes upkeep easy if & when needed in the future. Guesstimate on cost would be L/H ... ฿10k / ฿20k m², as stated, lots of variables, and that doesn't include land price. We've never paid more than ฿10k m² for basic construction at rural Udon Thani, but also 12 years ago. Paid ~฿10k m² 3+ years ago at rural PKK. Contractor wanted almost 50% more for 2 story, so we kept it 1 story. Same with Udon Thani, and we went with an unfinished 2 story, as not sure if we'd need. But foundation and construction was made to support and extra weight, if needed. -
China Denies Upstream Water Release Amid Thai Floods
KhunLA replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Yea ... it pretty much floods along the Mekong every other year, sometimes very bad. Been doing that the whole 24 years I've lived in TH. It's called rainy season. Revolving floods, and of course droughts & low reservoirs. You'd think after 80 years after WW II they would have figured out how to manage the water a bit better. Oh wait ... the N & NE, was low on BKK's priorities for decades. -

Not necessarily, (links would have been nice) as has to be the exact same pan. Which they are not, neither size, or line. Different line, different grade of material used to make, for different customers. I see pan on LAZ Tefal Flagship store for same 228 price.(26"), also using same 'Lotus's' photo. Not surprising. And the 24" pan for 785.

Curved roof tiles vs flat

OP's mind seems to be made up, but for others, contrast of rain noise on carport, entrance foyer, veranda, bedroom. May need to turn volume up to my voice level when in bedroom, or not if open in YT -

If you didn't know who she was, or the job she is seeking, then watching that, you might think she was speaking to an elementary class (1-6 grade) on a school trip. Hopefully talking down so not to confuse the wee ones, instead of just being the confusing word salad speaker that she is. Hard to believe she even understands what she is trying to convey. BUT ... she is up for leader of what some consider the most powerful & influential country on the planet, and to be honest, that's just plain scary. OK, we all know she / they are, most of them, are just a puppet, but just think if she would actually have to make a decision. I wouldn't want her thinking & acting on my behalf.

Russian Man Arrested for Carrying Fake Euros in Chonburi

expressing & being allowed to ... a bit of a difference. I'm sure my opinion would have been deleted. Took notice of the 19k myself, just the other day, but most of those are silly, useless replies to replies such as your. Trying to avoid doing that ... a work in progress. -

Tells you everything one needs to know. If you can't complete, shut the competition out. Screw the consumer, why should they have the best product for the best price -
Kind of like the very streamlined look of EV. Though all a bit similar looking, which really can't be helped if going for aerodynamics / less resistance. Have noticed some of the ICEVs lately, trying to get noticed with their 'unique styling' ... yikes.

So you'll be throwing all you electronics away that have batteries. My BEV doesn't use cobalt, so I'll keep it. Old tech batteries are only bad for the planet if used in EVs. Fine for anything that you use

Why I suggested renting for year in any complex one is thinking about buying in. Even though I was very familiar with PKK, we rented here for 1.5 years before deciding to build on the land we had for years. Knowing this will probably be our final move. Long term decisions take long term thought & research.

Great, another anti RU thread. Topic could be "Man arrested for fake money" Not sure I'm allowed to express my opinion about spreading hate, so I'll stop here Can't say I've seen or read a positive thread on AN about RU or CH, even most about TH is negative. Let that sink in- 69 replies
