  1. I you think so, though personally, I'd spring for the extra 130k baht and get the Neta V, if just knocking around town. Get that extra buy in cost back on petrol savings alone. Choices. Nobody forcing anyone to buy either.
  2. Probably not, at the time, as was quite happy with our ICE version of same, MG ZS. Hindsight, now owning ... hell yea, even though against my religion to pay more than 1M baht for 4 wheeled transport. It's a pleasure to drive, and no longer ignorant, as in 2020, the savings over the life of the car, will literally pay for itself, and so much more. So glad we waited though, as upgraded battery pack & 240k off, lowering the cost to 949k is just icing on the cake. Having solar is a great motivator also. Have too much excess solar, not to have an EV. How do you turn down, saving at least 50k baht on your transport cost?
  3. Apparently it sucks living in the UK if wanting an EV ????
  4. I think they are just trying to get people to take a peek at them. Get past the ignorance so many posters on AN display. Brilliant marketing if you ask me, and giving us 240k baht to buy one ... ... what's not to like about that ????
  5. Why do people still post the same repetitive false narrative. New (LFP) batteries won't need replacing for 20+ years, if ever:
  6. I don't think they make one that crappy, or one anyone would buy. If you want to drive sh!t, then buy sh!t. You do get what you pay for some times. EVs in TH are no more expensive than Japanese imports. Entry level ICEVs, made in TH ... owned a few, never again ... ... nuff said
  7. Hmm ... and yet, I get a whole tenderloin (frozen) from Makro, when available and looking good, for 800-1000 baht a kg. Cut about 6 nice 'hockey puck' steaks from it, and have the ends to toy with as I please. Why would I do anything with a tenderloin besides eat as a steak. Save slow cooking for lesser quality cuts of meat. Wrap a good steak in pastry ???? Save that silliness for a meat pie or sausage roll, as I want to taste the steak. I've had BW ... not impressed, unless you just like looking at your food and snapping a photo. Going out to a restaurant and ordering overpriced Mac & cheese ... Holy Buddha. I order things I can't or won't make at home. What idiot can't whip up Mac & cheese at home, to their liking. I myself like ham & tomatoes added to Mac & cheese.
  8. ???? ????
  9. If his restaurants are anything like is cooking on YT or TikTok ... I'll pass. He's such a poor cook, I can't even watch him. Calling him a chef is an insult to 'chefs'.
  10. I don't trust anything I don't personally see. Wife & myself can photoshop anything, and we don't even have good software.
  11. Either has worked fine for me, here/TH or the USA. Seems I enjoy being attached, since in a relationship more than not. Really enjoyed my single time also. If not happy, I move along quite fast to the next one/relationship. Not a patient person with people. Too many others out there will help you be happy, instead of enjoying seeing you unhappy.
  12. Use that when I realize G is not allowing or burying info that I know is available. There's always choice, and failing to exercise those, well, that's a personal issue for many. You can't fix stupid
  13. Google simply provides apps which you may or may not choose to use. Ones I use, make my world easier to navigate, research and save money. Even provides a bit of entertainment at times. Choose wisely, be happy. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Google_products
  14. As soon as someone mentions that fact-checkers are on the case, I tend to believe the report is false.
  15. Don't know about y'all's world, but in my world, EVs are no more expensive than ICEVs. And usually get more bang for your baht with the EV. If not in TH, then it's your govts tariffs that are making them overpriced. Same with their control of electric production. Cost of solar systems also being controlled by govt/energy companies. Buddha forbid they not have their windfall profits. MSM media ensuring you stay as ignorant as always ... ????
  16. As always, it's your money, and do as you please. But not even 0800 hrs, and overcast, and our solar system is producing enough for house (1 AC on), and I'm charging the EV. VID_20230923_075849.mp4
  17. Figs, green/red peppers (expensive stuff), and tomatoes, since we eat a lot. Beefsteaks not doing well, tasty but small. Others fine. Asparagus & broccoli ... waiting for some results. Others just for the hell of it, and see if they take, citrus trees, grapes. Durian, slow going, and bananas & papaya, just a couple as simply yield too much when ready. Some herbs and greens; kale, lettuces & such. Nothing 'bulbus', potatoes, onions or such, as fail miserably, so far.
  18. I just look at BkkBank, where my USD go ... any other site is a bit irrelevant:
  19. City = metro area, so, only Krung Thep
  20. One of the biggest drivers of rising gasoline prices appears to be... ... Price gouging by the petrol companies, and why they have had record windfall profits. Just the illusion y'all are buying into, the war ????
  21. Not enough bandwidth. As if we don't talk enough about TH, do you really want to read about our, my adventures in other countries, or different states in the USA, some larger than most countries. Oh yea, and it's a Thai forum.
  22. Yep, they seem to get primo spots, and great to visit for the views. Some are even interesting, and always a bunch of vendors around, for a good munch. Even visited Wats for their uniqueness, or importance in the past, when in the neighborhood. Now just for the views. Never really a bar person and definitely not a go-go bar person. Pay to look at women, nah ... a prefer the hand on approach, and not P4P, that's just boring.
  23. Agree, not much real change. Only worked 2 days a week in the USA, before retiring. Pretty charmed life there, or so my brother tells me. Things actually better here, as better housing in non metro areas. Houses built for me here/TH, so exactly what I want/need. Here/TH, on fifth new car, and in 28 yrs in USA, only owned 1 new vehicle. Eat healthier, as most home cooked now, and very little alcohol now. 2 divorces in USA, 1 in TH, and escaped with heart, sanity & wallet. Found life long partner in #4, for past 17 years, and no ending in sight. All good. Blessed, and thankful, that life has simply gotten better and better as I've aged, except for the aging part. Not perfect along the way, and more than a few oops, but that's life. Helps you appreciate everything else. Be Happy Be Safe
  24. Excellent stuff... THANKS
