  1. Very nice specs ... happy shopping 😎
  2. Thai fruits are great, when in season. I buy Makro frozen blueberries, strawberries, as fresh local, if can find, is terrible. I buy the frozen corn and broccoli (?), just for convenience. The frozen peaches aren't very good, nothing like NJ or GA / USA. TBH, never read where the frozen stuff is sourced.
  3. Not sure who I've talked to more, my dogs, or my wives/GFs. I know which usually held a more intelligent conversation, like minded and no major arguments ...
  4. Yea ... if he refers to actually using an EV's battery pack, I don't need 50kWh of ESS. Would be nice to have, though I'd prefer some redundancy, as if the pack crapped out, then having five 10kWh packs or two 20kWh packs would have been a better idea. That forward thinking instead of ... hindsight ... oops. Sort of made that oops with our 8kWh system instead of two 5kWh inverters. Though if never a problem, then irrelevant. Cost of 50kWh of ESS, would be a bit different. As much as we abuse our AC use now, we only use 3-4kWh overnight. If running whole house overnight, (AC), would still only use another 4kWh, if that. @CharlesHolzhauer Thanks for the FB link, as now know who to call, if the rest of our MG ZS craps out before the battery pack. Well the wife, as I'll be long gone before we kill the rest of the car. Expect the battery pack & motors to outlast me.
  5. Don't know about one that has different brands, but if you decide on DECO brand, I would use the dealer at Pranburi, (EV Pranburi) instead of the Hua Hin DECO dealer, if still in business. Where we purchased ours, as HH didn't seem to interested in customer service. If DECO, make sure its a new model, as they upgraded most models; battery size / chemistry, I think. DECO also qualifies for gov't incentive of 18k baht. We now have a local dealer, sells at least, DECO brand at old Yamaha dealer, which now sells various brands of MC.
  6. @CLW Here's on old post of mine, 2009, and 3.8/kWh. Know I have but couldn't find earlier post, of say 2000 or 2001. Actually things haven't change that much (relative) is using same mount of units. 15 yrs - 25% - 1.66666% a year. BUT ... Today, same amount of units/kWh would cost ... ฿2,523.34, total bill about 25% increase.
  7. It has since I've been here, although that is over a 20+ year stretch. Remember about ฿3.25/kWh, now it's ฿4+/kWh if you use it. The little we use, it's still under ฿4.
  8. Almost the same, I believe, as we use LFP chemistry ESS on our solar system, same as in our EV (car). Ebike & MB are a bit different.
  9. 13.3 seems to be it's happy place +/-
  10. MG ZS was getting 12v battery fault warning. Not charged up, and gauge showing 10.1-14.3 at times while warning 'dinging' for about 2 minutes, then it would reset, all good again. Until a few more kms, and repeat. Here's a post about solution, and before taking into service dept, if mechanically inclined, or they have a long Q, check the obvious .... 'loose cable wire to battery'
  11. Pretty sure we've seen 14.3v, and 10.1v the other day. Here's L/H when things were 'acting up', that were caught on vid. Wild fluctuation, not a few 0.1-2-3 movement, but 1-2v movement, which wasn't making sense: Wife just got back from MG, good & bad, sort of. Good ... not the battery or the charging 'module' Bad ... possibly a bit of QC, as a loose cable wire was the culprit While there, and something we noticed lately, last few hundred kms, when hitting brakes (as rare as we use them), just didn't feel right, and a bit of 'movement/thump' in brake pedal. They checked, and 1 screw missing, with 1 loose 🙄 Asked if we drove on any rough roads, thinking a bit of excess vibrations. But no, haven't gone off road. Hit a few pot holes, harder than you want to hit, but nothing that I'd think would shake any bolts or screws loose. Gave the whole car the once over, and all seem tight and fine 👍 Told the wife, only 3 things would make battery not charge, loose cable, bad charging 'module' (ICE/bad alternator/generator), or simply a crap battery, past it's life expectancy. Kudos again to local MG service dept. .... gave it the once over ... NO CHARGE
  12. Never bothered to even stroll through to take a peek. If not for the advertised happy hour (at the time) I would have never ventured to Soi 4/Nana Plaza / Hotel.
  13. Didn't miss your intent, but I'm not 13 yrs old
  14. Back then & now, about the only worse place than Nana I can think of
  15. Only ignorant tourist or those going there by choice for the 'nightlife'.
  16. Stayed at the Nana once (2004), to be close to Nana Plaza for happy hour, while GF at the time visited a friend and went shopping. Don't think I'd ever return, back then, and definitely not now. Prefer not to stay at Ibis (Soi 4), pet friendly, but do occasionally. Can avoid the happenings on Nana, but simply using soi 6 to stroll to the BTS. Eve Ibis dropped the 'Nana' from their name, trying to remove the stigma Ibis Soi 4 is ฿1000-฿1500 (half price) off their other properties on that side of the river. Usually choose Riverside, as same price, when not jacked up.
  17. Spot on ... and a case of som nam na Live with your choice, if you chose to vote ... USA ... Love It or Leave It ... ... I left
  18. Nothing in a knot, just an observation, as I don't care who owns a business or their clientele, as stated, I did test out the restaurant no matter. And in TH, I find it hard to believe, unless in the South, that anyone would be hostile or discriminatory toward the alphabet folks. Unless overly flamboyant, how the hell would they know. Well ... Except maybe for the Atlanta hotel in BKK, if still in operation. And who cares if it's a woman owning, male, or other Especially since the 'owner' may never be there. There were 2 women, playing customer service, and the chef is supposed to be a male, so again, 'info I don't need'. More importantly, were the OMG reviews, that were way off. Even taking them with a huge grain of salt, I was disappointed. They have labels in the USA, for chicken, no antibodies, which, it's illegal to sell chicken in the USA, with antibodies still in the birds system to begin with. So just silly marketing. Now offering Piranha beef, with no sugar added ... get the drift. Silly info, nobody needs or worse, not even applicable to the product.
  19. Posted above, it was 14.2 & 3 more than a few times. Thought the fluctuation range was a bit strange, as up & down from 11v-14v quite a bit over a 2 minute stretch before it reset and warning disappeared. One guy on the MG forum replaced his with a lithium, only 50Ah, though since no cranking involved, shouldn't be that much of an issue, but did have to do a bit of modifying, as couple cm taller, and less length, along with terminals smaller on the one he used. No desire to do that, along with any warranty issues it may violate.
  20. We were getting the '12v fault warning', and watching the gauge monitoring it, and it was fuctuating between 11v & 14.1, and occasionally dippin below 11v, down to 10.2v. Fault warning came on more than a few times while driving home. Have appt at MG tomorrow, check make sure it's the battery and not the charging 'module'. Only 21 months old, though batteries from dealers and in TH in general, do seem to be low quality. Surprised how many needed replacement on past Toyotas & Mazda. MG ZS ICE (2020) had 2 yrs / 40k kms on it when sold, and battery going strong. Actually the same battery in the EV version, I think.
  21. More asparagus ready, so guess that's one of the sides this evening with the pork roast
