  2. Reports in the news, griner on way to RU hard labor camp/penal colony. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time.
  3. Not a good time to be on Samui. Worst month weather wise, unless very lucky.
  4. One would hope they got elected due to qualifications rather than: gender color religion sexual preference disability etc etc etc
  5. You mean like a top end Honda Jazz for ฿754k vs something like the MG EP Plus for ฿771k You drive the Honda off the lot, and you lost 25% value Your drive the MG off the lot, and it stays the price. You top of the fuel on the Honda every week for ~฿1500 You top up the MG 2X for probably ~฿500 Or -0- if you have solar.
  6. Not even a ballpark number, before involving anyone else. You'd spark more interest, if you'd simply state: sale price & yearly profit maybe past 3 yrs. Ballpark idea on ROI before people waste their time. PM would even work. Oh well, good luck.
  7. Obvious question, how much ? As not wanting to waste time with particulars if out of budget.
  8. Whoever you are talking to on the other thread is simply showing their ignorance. Plenty of fruit wine in Thailand, as I've had my fair share. I can't say I'd repurchase the same stuff but it's available.

When in the area, I've popped in a few times. Very nice, especially before the tour buses use to arrive. Nice snaps
  10. Unless the 1st house is sitting on a nice piece of ground, in her name, and is at least 2X the value of what you want to build or buy ... ... why waste the bank staff's time. "Hi, I have no income, can I have some money"
  11. Oh that world .... yea that's some funny A$$ $hit. ... Thankfully has nothing to do with my world ????
  12. Describe far ? Dated info, 2017. Last 2 time at Ao Manao (#3), head in water = ear infection, something I'm not prone to. https://tastythailand.com/thailands-cleanest-beaches-where-are-they-and-are-they-environmentally-friendly/
  13. Nothing but a rat with wings, usually smaller. And rat meat sells rather well here in some parts. Think small cornish hen vs big A$$ chicken.
  14. Guess we have to keep on living on our paltry fixed income. NJ Powerball #s ... no winner CA Powerball #s ... no winner Brother in CA hasn't checked with his #s ????
  15. Whopper, same price USA/TH ... $4.19/฿155 (4.19 X 37 = 155)
  16. When's the last time you shopped for it. Publix market, one of the cheapest place, 1/2 gal:
  17. Swensen's much cheaper here than USA, especially on Tues with 2/1 member card. I believe other fast food chains are cheaper, and served up better here though ????
  18. And how many centuries is that going to take. Best guess right now is 1/2 to 1 degree the next 100 yrs. And no agreed consensus, that I'm aware of, that proves its MMCG/GW. Along with the next 100 yrs to figure it out & solve it, if it becomes a reality.
  19. In my ol' hood, most things are more expensive or at best, the same. ... Electric & petrol, about the same, though I don't use either here any more ... Solar & EVs, much more expensive there ... Rents, much more there ... RE Taxes, non existent here, outrageous in Philly, USA ... Healthcare, ridiculously expensive there. Just had a procedure done, cost $5500 here w/meds. Philly, USA ... 'Philadelphia, PA Cost Average, $26,600 - $73,200/Philadelphia costs $43,202 on average' ... anything involving labor, much cheaper here ... food, tough call, most cheaper here, as is eating out, but the experience is completely different. Cheaper, but wouldn't call it 'fine dining', which is also expensive here. What it cost for RE Taxes & Healthcare alone in the USA, monthly, I can live on here, and quite comfy at that. Really is no comparison.
  20. Hell no, keep Biden & the Dems in as long as possible. Biden inaugurated - Jan 20, 2021 - today - 25+% more buying power. USD to THB COLA ... 5.9 % and 8.7% = 14.6 % + 25 % = 39.6 % (Jan 2023) Increased buying power since 20 Jan 2021
