  1. Saw a 2 for 1 sale today ... for the new 'Red Alert' Buy 1 Hardhat, get 1 Covid mask for free ... Qs are starting for form already ????
  2. What Thai wouldn't welcome some idiot willing to invest 40 mill in Thailand. Talk about ripe for the picking ... ????
  3. Fan of both. If given a choice, "Made in Chinese" or made elsewhere, I'll take Chinese first. Our solar system and most of our electronics comes to mind. Oh wait, is anything made 'elsewhere' ? ????
  4. REDUCED & ON SALE NOW ... ฿400,000 2nd hand folks low balled without even seeing ???? Kind of like the idea of keeping it, but would sit idle way more than using. Beside, have the e-scooter to use, if we're both out at same time, or EV has an oops.
  5. Sometimes 'you get what you pay for' ... ... try spending more than ฿100 for an item, and it may last longer.
  6. Yes, but really don't think it's necessary. Just a 2 stage, carbon & ceramic filters.
  7. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3416670/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0
  8. It's a toss up, which is the 'root of all evil' ... ... religion, or ... lack of money ????

  10. Intermittent fasting (NOT fasting), is the only thing that has worked for me, and fairly effort free, and eat whatever I please, in moderation. Common sense rules, and that intermittent fasting. For me, it's about 12-15 hrs daily, and half of that overnight while sleeping. Too Easy.
  11. Probably this day, 18Aug, most generated, 49ish, used 30ish, sent 19ish to grid, on partly sunny day. Looking back over the graphs, peek at 9 (?), or just shy of. Though would think, should only peek at 8ish, since 8kW inverter. Have 18 X .540 panels = 9.72 @ 80% = 7.76 Since can't export, it will only show generated what's needed. Below graph is yesterday, charging ESSs & EV, so about the max to expect also, but also an air pollution day, so not clear skies. Post above yours shows the production/consumption #s.
  12. Seasonal birds starting to visit. Saw quite a few more Bee-eaters around the house. Obvious some, like myself, prefer being a resident after visiting TH, as here everyday. Saw my first Drongo near the house, while walking the dog. Of course didn't have my camera. A few of them hang out all year also, though not nearly as many as the Bee-eaters. Note to self: take your damn camera with you
  13. Ready for the knockin' around town range test. Expecting the WLTP / 320 & NEDC / 403 ratings to be extremely accurate. As our kph local fall within their test speeds of 37/47. Expecting closer to the NEDC / 400 kms mark, as I'm more like 25-50 on the scooter around town. That is average speed of most folks around our 'small-ish' fishing village ???? Off PhetKasem / Hwy #4, and only 1 road, 4 lane divided w/overpass to surfside is signed @ 60 kph. Strangely, most travel the speed limit locally. 1600 hr - 0900 hrs, 15hrs later and any monitoring or auto start apps on the ZS hasn't affected the battery, still at 100% since topping up yesterday. Not sure where the 342 kms comes from. Maybe the car has averaged in past driving numbers. Our almost constant 90kph, along with MG's QC & transport kms, apparently at a very low speed. Noticed 257 kms on the clock after our 'over the road' test, which should have been about 245 kms, just us, I think. Might take at least a week for us to rack up about 200 kms on the ZS. Happy Travels
  14. Nothing but a farang hit piece. Farang goes for a skinny dip at beach, and it's an item that requires a few too many PoPo to investigate. I went skinny dipping every night when on Ko Phayam. Every morning if I was first up at the guesthouse. "refused help from fishermen" ... probably because he didn't need or ask for. When I'm swimming at the beach, people don't stop to ask if I need help. People need to get their own life and mind their own business.
  15. Think it is safe to say, we are out of playing conservative with the solar system. August with few excepts, around 12-15kW a day. September saw that breaking 18-20kW a day October was 20+ a day, increasing later on. Now looks like we be around 30kW a day moving forward, and it's not even hot temps yet. Last night & this morning was damn chilly, 21°C / 69.8°F, yea, that's embarrassing. At 30kW a day X 30 days = 900 a month = ฿5000 (PEA bill) ROI, without additional use, about 7.5 yrs ????
  16. If I had well over $1 mill USD, TH wouldn't be on my short list to live. ... off topic; so many Thais still waiting to be granted the land they've worked for generations. Some with no electric or running water. Others with paperwork, don't even have Chanotes yet.
  17. NO, I wouldn't drink it, unless it tested better after filtering. Curious what it cost to drill ? That's really deep, and hope you need it for other than just the household. ROI may be long time coming, unless that was your only option for water supply. We drink rain water.
  18. Ditto, though not an EV thing, as same with the MG ZS ICE. We did order a real wheel & hub, as only 1000 baht more than spare donut tire. Fits in boot, though floor on top tier, and takes up a wee bit of space. Also bought a small floor jack for the ICE, both fitting under with space to spare. Yet to use either, thankfully. Haven't taken notice of the EV's boot yet. Hmmm.... Though don't have to bend over, as level floor, which my back is happy about. Sadly the ICE is 16", and EV is 17", so can't use. Not sure if I'll pick up a spare or whole tire/hub for the EV. 5 yrs road service, so not sure. Can't see my traveling without a spare though.
  19. Right on time, and impressed with MG's specs and estimates concerning the ZS. Range as state, actually better than expected at speed (90kph). Granny charger, as stated, and makes things easy to calculate & predict. "hope to be topped up by 1600hrs"
  20. Depends on a few factors, first, was it properly bolted onto the floor, or creted into the floor. Bolted in, then it's a simple swap, with a ring, and an easy DIY. The latter, and I'd hire someone, though toilets usually don't come with installation. Not that I've ever asked, but would think most vendors have someone they'd recommend. Might ask the maintenance staff at condo, if anyone wants a side job, if seen & happy with their work. Good Luck
  21. Depends how long defrosted, and if vacuum sealed. Cook to proper temp, or more, and should be safe to eat. Your nose will tell you instantly when you open the meats. Freezing (again) kills most things also, why many countries require sushi meats to be frozen along the way to the plate. DO cook before giving to soi animals, unless not a fan of.
  22. Unless crossing to the west side of the river, most folks, tourists/expats, have never actually been to 'Bangkok' (yai/noi).
