  2. As stated, if you have to ask, you already know the answer. Consider the assoc/maintenance fee is divide among owners, and if you are 1 of the few ... hmm If having lifts, as suggested, make sure you're on the 1st/2nd floor.
  3. You must be Thai, so you wouldn't notice. And you don't have to be at a tourist destination to get scammed. I'll walk in front of the wife when at the fresh market, or any vendor where prices aren't posted. Tell her what I want, and she'll go back to buy it, as too many times in the past, I've been charged more than her. This even at local market. Sometimes attempted to charge me considerably more, 50%-double to the price. Or I'll wait for a Thai to buy the same, make sure I'm standing next to them, and simply say I want the same, after I saw them pay. Easy enough. Also asking in Thai, how much, helps, then they realize you're not a noob. To state it doesn't happen simply points out your extreme bias or ignorance. As pointed out, Nat Park & hosp are prime examples & sadly, Govt endorsed ????
  4. Along with old folks of all race, religion, sexual preference, nationality, gender & size. Along with young & mid aged folks with all the labels above. World is full of A-holes, what's new. Do we really need another label. "Thainess Matters" ... TLM.com .org .net Donations accepted ... I could use a nice Cat docked at Phuket
  5. I'm wondering why you didn't just buy the filter and change it yourself, especially since already having the oil.
  6. Don't know about Patts, but here in PKK Changing from mine to hers is easy, anywhere ... ????
  7. Just got back after putting a few kms on the cars, just around town, and TBH, windows up, AC on, I don't bother with the radio, and I didn't hear much of any vehicles on the road. Except the overly loud exhausts. Most scooter are very quiet from inside the car. That's MG ZS, which is kind of quite itself, unless accelerating. Other entry level cars, our previous Vios & Mazda2 were not so quiet. Certainly not enough noise for me to notice them coming up in my blind spots where I may have on oops with them while turn & cutting them off/knocking them over. An e-scooter make no difference 95% of the time. I drive with my eyes, not my ears ... choose wisely ????
  8. If not their fault, they're actually in the hospital because some idiot didn't look before making a maneuver. People that drive using their mirrors only and don't turn head to look, assuming nobody in their blind spots. Or when turn head to look, using 1 eye, thus can not judge distance or speed of approaching vehicles. Do people hear every car, and yet, same type of accident involving the same idiots. When driving if you use your ears instead of 2 eyes ... nuff said

Mines 65", and 75 would be better. Depends on the room and how far/close you sit to it.. About 3.5 meters away for us. I also use it as my laptop monitor, and great for editing my wildlife photos, and I sit comfortably 2m away. When I see larger TVs when at HomePro, ours looks small. No, I'm not upsizing anytime in the future. It's only a TV, low priority cost vs enjoyment.
  10. Here's a few snaps, as wife listed on FB a bit higher priced, since Thais love to haggle. I don't.

Also discounts for same item, if you buy online, which is really odd, as you can go to their store, get hands on, order online, get discount, and pick up at same store, or they'll deliver for free. Then add your 'payment discount' if qualifying. Bought a few items like that. Then use you HP card, and get points. Got to love it

Got our last one at HomePro ... excellent Also look online. Just missed the 10-10 sales. Another 11-11, on manufacturer's 'flagship' site on LAZ, or their own sites.
  14. Don't know about the 'creams' but I actually like the taste of Dutch Mills' UHT version of whole milk over the fresh. Also when buying, you really do need to read the label. As 1 barista cream I looked at, had less fat content that Dutch Mill whole milk. I just use milk, and it froths up rather nice, and I can get soft peaks, sort of, if I don't stop. Sure I'm sacrificing a bit of flavor by not using heavier creams, but like the flavor of the coffee to come thru also. I prefer black or a frothy flat white.
  15. Have you actually searched for them, as plenty here, at brick & mortar shops or online. Buddha helps those that help themselves. Not familiar with 'hammer or Sherlock', so a photo might help others search for you.
  16. I lived in Thai villages, actually outside of them, most of my time here in Thailand. Love the quiet solitude, fresh air, and the varied wildlife, aside from venomous snakes. First couple houses, about 20ish minutes from metro. Present house, about 5 minutes from 'town'. Still rural and no neighbors for 100s of meter, and just the way I like it. I self entertain easily. I think what you're describing is visiting, living with your partners family ... no thanks.
  17. Govt cheese and food stamps, sadly, I remember it well. On the flip side, I remember the hockey pucks, hi end filet mignon. destin for restaurants and jumbo shrimps. They seem to fall off the truck every week ???? We ate really good. I guessed 8% on another thread, I reckon I wasn't too far off. Good thing it's an election year. Tell my brother inflation is that low and he'll laugh at you, but I'll take it.
  18. I guessed correct 'preliminary ฿400k', and chickie on phone said, can go up or down, once physically looked at vs photos. Well it's not going down as in excellent condition. So ฿450,000 if anyone is interested. No takers then daughter can have it. I'm in PKK municipality, but will be at Hua Hin next week for Imm/visa. That's the lower/middle end of pricing on FB Marketplace for the same. Aside from the silly ones, more than 550k https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/112474645432594/search?query=mg zs 2020 It's red if that matter ...
  19. So approximately, 25% aren't exactly in favor of. vs the 75% being controlled economically by the other G7/8/20 countries their economies depend on, whether through trade agreements or foreign aid to. Very democratic ... the UN is a politicalized joke.
  20. Any censorship is wrong. Unless promoting violence of course. Aside from that, he's simply censored since being a conservatives.
  21. What a difference a day or 2 makes. I'm declaring rainy season over ???? At PKK ... ???? ESS topped before 1000 hrs. Usually not before 1200 hrs, and sometimes not before 1600 hrs. Sunshine is a beautiful thing. I'll start complaining about the temps next week, and enjoy this week. Maybe a spot of rain, next Thursday, but now, all high cirrus type clouds, so no worries. Windy as hell though and surf is quite stirred up.
  22. Depends how much the house cost to begin with. A $3+mill house appreciating 10% barely keeps up with inflation. A $300k house doubling value, now 600k would be nice. Of course finding someone to buy may be a challenge. If RE savvy, can make good RE investments here. IF MARRIED, and a risk in itself for many 1st house cost 800k, sold 1.4m baht (owned 7 yrs) 2nd house/land, 2.5m sold 5+m baht (10 yrs) Present house, sits on land we bought for 76k, land now worth 250k (5 yrs). House itself, 1.1m + 445k/solar, and I wouldn't sell for less than 3m. 1 yr old, so 50% increase, IMHO. Finding someone to buy would be a challenge, as 2nd house took 3-4yrs to sell all assets, house on 2 rai, and 4 separate rai. Most appreciation due to land price appreciations. All our builds have been <10k m², land price separate of.
