That's about, but subjective, as some 'cities' have multiple 'downtowns', and really depends who and why they are going downtown. Size of the 'city' makes a big difference also. In which case, most locals will use neighborhoods / district names. "I need to go downtown and take care of some business" ... ... probably the 'business' district(s). 'We going downtown to for late lunch or dinner' ... ... probably not the business district. Could be generic, for those living in suburbia ... ... "I'm going into the city ... heading downtown today" Annoying when folks ask ... "coming to Bangkok (Krung Thep #1), and need recommendation for accommodations 'downtown' " ... can you get any more vague.

Buy insurance: British tourist issues warning after moped crash

I used to have health insurance, provided by employer, and never really needed, along with travel insurance, provided by CC companies if using for rental/bookings. Especially Am Ex. ???? Never used but was surprised about the amounts covered. Silly amounts you'd need to be in 1 serious accident with extended care to reach the limits. All the traveling I did, I actually never new travel ins was a thing, ignorance prevailed, not that I would ever pay for it anyway. Being Anti-ins ???? -

Not almost ... but never used in mass shooting. People want info, they should check FBI stats, they find that most people are killed by their wife, husband or acquaintance. Most people killed by handguns; 2019, 10,258 murders by firearms 364 by rifle 200+ by shotgun https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/2019/crime-in-the-u.s.-2019/tables/expanded-homicide-data-table-8.xls 2019 ... 13,927 murders, only 1372 by strangers https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/2019/crime-in-the-u.s.-2019/tables/expanded-homicide-data-table-10.xls Don't pisss people off. 350ish million people in USA, and only 1372 were random killing. Chance of someone just pointing a firearm at you is fairly non existent. With few exceptions, violent crimes have dropped almost every year. STOP READING THE HEADLINES .. start reading the facts. https://www.statista.com/statistics/191219/reported-violent-crime-rate-in-the-usa-since-1990/ -
I replied to your other thread, you're welcome ... ... but I thought you want less smog (from other thread), and you're going to CM. Ignoring advice to head southward for less smog. Oh well, whatever ... watch out for those 'undercover sex workers' ????

Almost impossible to buy, IF you can even find one, and ridiculously expensive to buy and keep in the USA. https://www.britannica.com/technology/assault-rifle Fun facts for you, even surprised me: ... there are over 630k legal fully automatic assault rifles registered in the USA. Ownership can't be transferred without approval of ATF https://www.boisestatepublicradio.org/news/2018-12-21/automatic-weapons-are-legal-but-it-takes-a-lot-to-get-one-of-the-630-000-in-the-u-s -
Chrome just started doing this. If I highlight text and right click to search, it opens a sidebar instead of new tab. To disable that feature and restore searching in new tab: "Run the Chrome browser, and open a new tab. Type or copy-paste chrome://flags/#side-search into the address bar and hit Enter . Select Disabled from the drop-down list next to the Side Search option. Relaunch the browser when prompted"

With no before & after, it's pretty hard to tell what they had to work with. From looks of it, she'll have a thin line across her cheek, and surely can be touched up if she wants later. Looks like it was a fairly jagged tear and slice. A little concealer and make up would do a fine job of blending. -

Agree, and thought it was just a nasty scratch till reading 56 stitches, well done. -
Probably as accurate as any can be, since most mentions of Jesus is 300 yrs after his death.???? Maybe one at 55 and one at 125 yrs 'after' death. And with a life expectancy of 25-33 yrs old back then, that's 2 to 4 whole generations of BS to be passed on. Can we please move the Bible to the fiction section of the library ????

I personally can't understand why any asylum request would be accepted, let alone approved at the US/Mexican border. Did they not escape their oppression when they crossed the southern border of Mexico. Why are they not asking for asylum there,, when they crossed into Mexico ?

I caught part of that new sit-com in the news comics today. Great new mini-series apparently. Not sure if I saw the pilot, but ep02 was funny. Expect 2 more episodes will be out, unfortunately. -
If having a legal 'loan contract' & cheque (substantiating evidence), then legal recourse may be available, but winning a judgement & actually getting paid is 2 different things. Especially if he has no assets.
