  1. Scientific American ... ???? A wee bit bias & political monthly.
  2. Really depends on one's definition of a vaccine. Which was changed, so these new 'shots' could be called a vaccine. Before the change, a vaccine provide protection from getting the disease designed for. After the definition change ... well .. neither provided protection from contracting or transmitting. Yes, they actually had the definition changes ... nuff said.
  3. In the USA, all adverse effects have to be reported by docs to VAERS. A site, few non professionals know about, or would bother to report an incident to. And they are investigated, where those results are, I've yet to find. Although, and IMO, possibly hidden deep in the site as many stats are, so most never see them. Just a thought, as finding the 'effectiveness' of flu vaccines over past 15 yrs was quite a challenge, and very disappointing, as only 10 - 60% effective depending on year, with a 39% average of 15 years. Which apparently, again IMHO, is more effective than covid vaccines, as don't seem to prevent getting or transmitting the virus.
  4. You wish .... sales plummeting, and it's down to 3 months already. Wouldn't be surprised if they start recommending monthly shots ... ????
  5. I did state 'suspected', and simply reported. That children die after getting vaccinated is definitely a concern. It wouldn't be coincidental, as if someone 65-70-75-80+ died. Kids did die after getting vaccinated, or have cardiac arrest ... not exacting normal kid ailments.
  6. Risk fact, IMHO, is pretty nil, if using as reference how many kids died in US, from scarier versions of the virus. 5 times the population. Very low risk of death from the virus or the vaccine, but why volunteer for the vaccine, as that risk can be eliminated. Along with the unknown long term effects.
  7. Thankfully my daughter is done Uni. Mandatory shots for children ... the world has gone nuts.
  8. Why try ? Play ignorant and save lots of money. Being Atheist has advantages, aside from your soul being torn apart in hell for all eternity ????
  9. The virus is here, been here for about 2 yrs, get over it. Will be here for .... well, forever apparently, it's a virus. In a few years, they may even start to call it a seasonal flu, once done milking it for all they can. People have to live. Or do people expect them to stay locked down in their homes for the next 5 - 10 - 20 yrs.
  10. mind boggling ... https://www.reuters.com/article/us-health-coronavirus-sweden-schools-idUSKCN24G2IS
  11. Definitely agree with that. Although 25 ish yrs ago for Philly, PA area, very few dealers or repairs shops. Honda fan myself. Other brands less so. Just did a Gmap search, and not a lot has changed. Scooters are fairly dependably built though, and if take care of them, they don't need much. Not familiar with automatics. May also want to consider an electric scooter, as fairly automatic. Mine has 3 speed buttons next to the throttle, and round town only use 2 'gears'. Electric motors don't need any maintenance. Battery far cheaper to run & replace than petrol & tune ups. Ones here aren't exactly made for distance, 100 kms maybe, at best, at around town speed, and not highway speeds, as you'll use up the battery fast. Haven't got a clue what's available over there.
  12. Then go with the condo, since can be in your name. And usufruct are allowed between spouses, though not sure about how that would work with a condo. The in your name so not needed.
  13. Authorized reseller .. but I plead ignorance to the bitcoin thingy. Something like that, good to get from manufacturer.
  14. Take a peek at the MG Extender, starts @ ฿559k. Competitively priced if not wanting all the bells & whistles. Tops out @ 1,039,000 if wanting. A rebadged Maxus T60, so been around long enough to work the kinks out. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maxus_T60 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maxus_T70#MG_Extender
  15. I see that on SiamBC for 2790 & free shipping. Worth a roll of the dice I guess.
  16. It's not only sugar that they burn, also rice fields after the harvest. NE gets terrible air pollution, rural or metro. Lived there for 16 yrs.
  17. When I replied earlier, is stated open, now, closed. Wonder if that happened today, since T&G cancelled, or someone simply reported it, due to this thread. More than a few reviews 1 month old on Gmaps. Soi 22 has a 22 hr old review ???, and a few 1 month & older. Does show operating hrs though and is on FoodPanda for delivery with menu showing.
  18. Oh hell no. Carl's much better. On par with BK, since open flame broiled, depending what's ordered, and of course the site makes them fairly fresh & hot. Only resort to BK, rare, when nothing else is available.
  19. Gmap states both locations in Patts are open 2 out of 3 in BKK open, both on suk/nana & near soi 22 Whether they'll stay open now is a question mark.
  20. aqicn has got to be the worst site there is. Right now, it's got my area as AQI 16 ???? iqair has it at 68 (1600hrs), and accurate as there was a haze less than an hour ago at surfside and the headlands were a blur. And not a moisture haze. My meter agrees usually with aqair +/- 5. Airvisual has it at 59 (1800hrs)
  21. AFAIK, race / authenticity is not collected or noted on US birth certificates. In the new woke world, you can identify with what ever you want, but it won't be on your legal birth certificate, except M/F, and there is an attempt to change that.
  22. Not sure as rarely use. My go to's are LAZ, Shopee, Banggood, Central, HomePro, and AliExpress ... last, and probably for that reason, rare to have COD. Just checked my AE order history and last thing I ordered, in June, was COD. So it depends on the vendor.
