Surely we're not to assume after playing footy, he never earned income again. Obviously having money to travel and holiday internationally. Doesn't scream skint, and photos with kid/grandkids, means he travelled back & forth a bit. Looking a lot like "please, will someone pay for my dad's irresponsibility, because we sure don't want the bill" Just a thought ...

Survey – Bangkok among 5 best cities for expats to live and work in 2022
KhunLA replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
All relative, but Krung Thep certainly is NOT, if wanting a comfy lifestyle. Cheaper then other metros, possibly, but you do get what you pay for sometimes. I hate when they state, food is cheap, meal is 60 baht, as I've rarely had a plate/bowl of food for 60-100 baht that I would call a meal. A meal = 'filling', something to hold you over till next meal, 3-5 hrs away. Not come home from the restaurant, and make yourself a P&J a half hour later ???? -

That's one opinion ???? One social predator, gone ... win Thai court docket lessened by 1 ... win Thai tax payer not paying support of 1 prisoner ... win Home country spared of pardon/release to them ... win Warning to future scum ... think really hard before ... win Really not seeing a negative ... please point 1 out. -

Another one of those all inclusive surveys, (on a site I never heard of), with a choice of 60 cities, in a world of how many ? Hard to believe a Muzzy country/city is #1, if taking AN member's top concerns of: Alcohol Hooker ... not necessarily in that order ???? -

KhunLA replied to MJCM's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
One more bill to go, and PEA's calculator tell me ฿58 Then the wait to see how many months of -0- units used, it takes for them to replace the meter ... ???? -

As others stated, there's a dealer in Patts. Maybe more within the area,as there were two in Hua Him / Pranburi area.
-
Guessing that's for me, I bought mine at EV Pranburi, almost local though 75 kms away. Also popped into their manufacturing, warehouse facility since I was in the neighborhood. Since I went to their showrooms contact was by me and yes they will deliver.
-
My driving locally, 10-13 kms a day, so once a month would be possible. None of that is mandatory but what I usually do, and possibly equals many's commute.

Checked the local tide chart (PKK), and tomorrow is a bit higher than today. Not the highest, but it was slamming against the seawall when I drove by around noon-ish, which is high tide time for us. BE SAFE

Why I don't bother with any insurance ???? For GrandPa ... you make your bed, you lay in it ... nuff said with health problems that WILL eventually need hospitalization, why would you go to Thailand, when you have the 'excellent' universal healthcare in the UK. Well, at least it's almost free anyway. Now you're a burden to your family, IF, they decide to pay the bill. IF NOT ... another expat making things worse for those responsible folks that DO the right thing here. If you can't afford to live in TH, STAY HOME ????

1 of many reasons why I don't live in Krung Thep. Love going to .... Love leaving ????

Hotel ... so you're on holiday. Lesson #2 ... don't holiday during rainy season.

Lesson learned, park on higher ground next time ...

RE 101 ... location location location, along with supply & demand. Our 2 previous houses, rural (16km out of metro) appreciated for 1 reason, the land they sat on appreciated. The building did not. Cost to replace new up, but since 2nd hand, no real appreciation. More land under your house, more appreciation. Baht for baht, land appreciation added to house cost, and that was the sale price of both houses. Present house, lot it's on, has risen from ฿76k/100tw to ฿250k/100tw in 5yrs. Fact, as we bought the lot across from us, for a garden, since the house takes up most of the lot it's built on. It was listed at 500k, negotiations started at 350k, and the wife settled on ฿250k. Same owner we bought from, has another lot on the soi, as there's only 8 I think, and that one is listed for ฿600k You never know, as P.T. said.... one born every ... Appraisal at land office is ฿100k.
