Of topic a little but my favorite Thai stupidity is to spend a fortune on tiling out a high end condo bathroom but they not ensuring the toilet or the floor drain is properly plumbed in. I know at least six people that have purchased very expensive properties here and cannot use one or more of their bathrooms...

LOL. So after four decades of abuse these natural environments have fully rejuvenated in the two years of covid. Delusional. Perhaps someone at the TAT can explain to me how a coral reef that takes thousands of years to form can fully rejuvenate in 24 months. What did drop during covid was the fecal coliform count along Thailand's tourist beaches. But excrement is directly proportional to tourist numbers of course.

Of course the inverted pyramid is also a very significant problem for Thailand. But the powers to be here are too busy feeding at the trough to actually implement plans for Thailand's future. My personal litmus test is how many messages I get from freelancers on ThaiFriendly. At present it is between 15 and 25 messages every single day. My old profile also states very clearly "do not contact me if you are a prostitute or freelancer". Business is definitely not booming in the sex sector.

Do it yourself. The comments above are mostly piffle. Don't need to fund her account. That is a scam perpetuated by agents. I have done this successfully three times by myself. First time around I decided to do it myself after talking to an agent in Bangkok who said we would have to create a fake company for her and then a fake bank account showing income from the company....blah...blah...blah. Screw that I thought, and just did it myself. No dramas whatsoever. I recall also on the girls visa application I wrote occupation as rice farmer on all three occasions. Yes a lot of paperwork but you can put it together in a morning. Make sure you include a sworn statutory declaration regarding your financial support while she is with you in Australia. Also state that you will have comprehensive travel insurance for the duration of her visit. And that you will ensure that she does not work or overstay her visa. I could dig up one of my old declarations...maybe if you interested in a copy.
