  1. @BritManToo You must read this book: https://www.google.co.th/books/edition/The_Bachelor_Home_Companion/R1diASABH0EC?hl=en&gbpv=0
  2. Naive comment. Have a read up upon the concept of sovereignty of the marketplace and get back to me.
  3. Surging EV sales are ill informed consumers.
  4. Rip Sir. No doubt he came to Thailand because his plan was to come and go at the same time. His timing was a little off but still a valiant effort.
  5. Government policies are not market forces.
  6. It is not my first rodeo and I seldom use Thai in front of bargirls. It is entirely correct that as soon as they catch on you are tantamount to cryptonite. But it is not because they cannot BS you. It is because they know they cannot BS your friends or anyone sitting within earshot of my location. It is rather depressing over the years listening in to the comments some girls make about their teeraks. But is fun on occassion when they have been sh*t canning someone for a half hour or more to suddenly break into their conversation in Thai. It does work on the odd occassion however. I remember a million years ago in a bar at Kamala. There was this stunning 20 something girl newly arrived. There was this fat slob of a New Yorker there, loudest guy in the room of course, and he had already rang up several K in ladydrinks trying to impress this lass and the other girls in the bar. I walked straight in between them and started chatting with her in Thai. She was very receptive. Was not actually working at the bar (but was thinking about it), had a sales job in Bangkok, and just wanted to check it out because her friend worked there. I asked her if she would like to come to Patong with me and have dinner. She said yes and we headed for the door. The Yank was livid.
  7. Funny how quick you all are to condemn him. My guess is that he did not get his deposit back from the landlord and therefore sought to take matters into his own hands.
  8. Thanks for your post. What is Tree Town? Is a plaza or an open area?
  9. Thanks so much for your post! As soon as I read the name LK Mansion it jolted my memory. That was were I stayed all those years ago. There was a youngish Dutch guy living there permanently for six months...he was a flower cutter or grower (tulips) back in the Netherlands and told me he only worked six months of the year and spent the other six in Patts. Could of been complete BS but he seemed like a genuine chap. Anyway he guided me around for a couple of nights he new all the venues. It was my first time in Patts and I had a lot of fun. I remember there were some retired black American screws staying there also. Big lads. One of them was named Jimmy. One morning when I was catching the lift downstairs I looked up above the door, and smeared on the polished stainless were the words "I love Jimmy" in what I would assume was secretions from a female vagina. I will be staying at the LK....that is already decided. Thanks again for your post.
  10. Jeesuz wept this place is a circus. It like everyone has a mental age of 4 years old. So if he kept the money but still stayed in touch with the victims it would not of been fraud? Retarded Thai logic at its best. The real reason for the arrest was that one of the women he got money from has a daddy who is connected in the military, police, or politics.
  11. When visiting Patts I will also be making my own assessment of how it has evolved. That is another reason for my trip. From my personal observations over the years, Phuket is now an abhorent place. All but a few of my friends there have already left. But I regularly visit Phuket to buy medicines and so I have observed the degredation of lifestyle there first hand. I am interested to view first hand what has happened to Patts, especially the girls, their appearance and demeanor. I am confident I will be surely dissapointed. But I like to experience things first hand, so that my subsequent opinion is my own, and not someone elses borrowed from the internet.
  12. Thank to everyone for you input. However no mention of any bars, clubs or night venues yet? Would like some up to date information if that is available.
  13. Yes. What you say is absolutely true. I know this first hand from visiting bars with my friends in Phuket. Farang lue tuk yang mai dee
  14. Thanks for your good humored post. I still visit friends in Phuket from time to time and so I have my finger on the pulse regarding costs for P4P. But I have never been back to Patts. Back then I remember one venue that at about 7 or 8pm would parade all the girls (dozens of them) out in congo line fashion. I was very drunk at the time and was taken there by a Dutch guy that I met at my hotel and was drinking with. It was kind of a timber open air venue I think. And it must of been within walking distance of soi Bukao because I remember my hotel was somewhere there abouts. Does anyone know what bar that would have been and if there is anything still like it operating nowadays. The girls in the congo line where beating drums and other instruments like savages.......
  15. Tasmania is where its at. The southern highlands are boring unless you love dodging cow pats while looking at the same species of gum tree all day. And make sure that you absolutely brush up your vocabulary of buying, selling, renovating and investing in residential property. Nowdays all resident Australians cannot hold a conversation longer that 30 seconds before diverting it to the topic of real estate. And no...I am not joking.
  16. Hello Tiber. I hope you are doing ok. Where are you located now? Did you make it back to Thailand? It would be great if you could let us know how you are doing? PM me if you want my contact to chat if you need support.
  17. Hopefully they will both drop dead. Interested to hear your positioning on Vivek JT.
  18. Exiting politics and trying to do an Al Gore. Pathetic really.
  19. I should make it clear I am not coming to Thailand. I already live here full time and have done so since my last visit to Patts. I am not a two week millionaire. And I speak pretty good Thai.
