  1. And don't get confused when completing the documents, you are reporting yourself, so you put your own data on page 1 as well as page 2.
  2. It means that the extension was granted under section 2.22 of this order, and the applicant (or agent) either provided a bank statement with 3 months seasoning or proof of income as specified: https://aseannow.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=804079 Some people like to say "an IO can waive requirements", which isn't wrong, but if an IO would actually do this the extension would be granted under section 5 and not section 2.22, the note next to the stamp would reflect this. So if somebody paid an agent to obtain an extension because he doesn't have the money in the bank and the note says "2.22", this means that the agent submitted fake banking documents to the IO to obtain the extension. If the note says "5", then it would mean that the IO actually waived the requirements, but I think this never actually happens, it is always done through fake documents from the agent.
  3. You complete the TM30 form and attach copies that show your ownership, for example a copy of the chanote. If you do it in person it's done on the spot, they take your papers and give you the receipt, then take a copy of this receipt and use it when applying for the extension.
  4. Theoretically they could do this, but in cases like yours they probably don't do it, would be too complicated. Usually the IOs add a handwritten note to the extension stamp, which gives away how the extension was obtained. In case of a retirement extension it would be "2.22", is this written next to your stamp, or any other number?
  5. I didn't say that extensions obtained via an agent are not legit. If you legally qualify for an extension and the agent just assists with it, that's very well legit. But if you don't legally qualify for one, for example you want to obtain a retirement extension even though you can't prove income or money in bank, or a volunteer extension without volunteering, or an education extension without actually studying, and the agent creates fake documents which the IO signs for a bribe, then that's not legit, even if an IO signed it. There has never been any crackdown on these extensions yet, because obviously it's a nice earner for IOs, but one should keep in mind that theoretically it could happen.
  6. The visa agent takes the relevant copies for you, completes the forms for you (you just sign them), and if they can get certain documents that you require, they do this as well. Then they meet you at the immigration office and let you skip the queue. All you have to do is let the IO take the picture and you are done, no talking required, you know your documents are in order. That's what they do if you qualify for a legit extension, basically just saves you a bit of time, maybe between 1 hour and a few hours, depending on how long the queue at your immigration office usually is. I think paying 10k+ THB for a few hours of saved time is not worth it, but this is of course my personal opinion, everybody is free to have another opinion. If you don't qualify for a legit extension, they can maybe still facilitate one for you (for example money in bank requirement), this does of course cost quite a bit more.
  7. AFAIK you don't need a certificate of residence when selling a vehicle in bangkok And even if the address is wrong, you can still use it, the DLT won't confirm the address
  8. Apply for the extension with your current passport (there is no 18 months rule), you will get the extension to the expiry date of your passport. Then after this apply for a new passport, so it's ready for your next extension.
  9. I like this Fascino, they have many things and are cheap: https://goo.gl/maps/xbY42axspsQSqW5o9 As another poster suggested already, sign up as member with them (it's free), sometimes you get quite big discounts. Then there is also this pharmacy close by, they also have many things: https://goo.gl/maps/jo7GWf2LC8wupCCo9 Fascino is just a bit cheaper in my experience, which is why I usually go to Fascino, unless they don't have what I'm looking for. metformin, gliclazide and losartin can legally be sold at pharmacies, no prescription required. Sitagliptin is a "special controlled drug" and requires a prescription. Some drugs in the same category are sold at pharmacies without prescription though, but others are not, I don't know how the situation with sitagliptin is. I suggest to ask at a few pharmacies for it, maybe you find one that just sells it to you, if they all tell you no, you would have to see a doctor for this one, or find an alternative drug that's not in this category.
  10. I don't know if any field allows enough characters to leave a message, but maybe try to write something like "please call me, i don't understand why it's getting rejected" in some field, might safe a trip to immigration.
  11. A bar at Sukhumvit 11 ... I guess when discussing the "economic topics for her studies", they couldn't agree on a price and the girl was mad.
  12. It often seems like agents have little knowledge what happens in other provinces. In which province did you get your extension? In most provinces yes. But in for example Chiang Mai it's still possible.
  13. You were probably just unlucky, usually batteries last longer than that, in my experience about 3 years.
  14. TM7 is the form used for applying for an extension. You probably mean TM30. Yes, your sons mother should file a TM30 for you. Has to be done within 24 hours, but she can just put today's date on the form, then there is no fine, they don't know when you actually moved in.
  15. But in case of monthly you get charged 2% interest every month, in case of yearly only once a year. 2% per month = 24% per year
  16. The car is registered in the name and with the address of the leasing company, so if there are any tickets they will be sent to them.
  17. If you are staying in Thailand for less than 3 months just rent one, not worth the hassle of buying/selling for such a short period. If you plan to stay longer than that I would recommend buying one.
  18. Airasia, Vietjet and Thai smile are flying CNX-HKT
  19. It says "or", hotels is just one of the things it addresses. - host of the premise or - owner of the premise or - possessor of the premise or - manager of hotel I'm reting a condo, so in my case I'm the "possessor of the premise".
  20. Because it seems like it's not written anywhere and it's just your personal interpretation. Actually the order says the contrary.
  21. It will be kept at customs an suvarnabhumi airport until you pay, so unless you want to go there to pick it you have to transfer them the money and then they deliver it to you the next day or so.
  22. I think you are the one who misunderstood it. I don't see anythnig in this order which makes a distinction between a house or a hotel, imho it applies to both equally. Can you quote the section which makes a distinction? Me as the possessor of the premise, reported myself as staying there. I left and returned to the same premise, so me as possessor do not need to make another report for myself.
  23. Here a shop in Hang Dong (on the opposite side of the street is another one): https://goo.gl/maps/SjWYcNAB9r7bAd6W6 But I've only used the photos from there for immigration, so no idea if they can take a photo which satifies the UK requirements.
